Mike is damn music perfection. Great vocals with technically genius riff on bass and guitar BOTH. Just look at his changing between parts while not even look at pedals AND singing along. CHAPEAU BAS man.

They're massive fans of each other, RB toured with QOTSA and pretty sure Homme has done some work or producing for RB

Don't want to take anything from Royal Blood, cause they do sound as good live as in the studio, but when I read your comment, in my mind all I could think was, has this person not heard Muse at all live. :D You should check them out then, for sure! ;)
The reason it sounds exactly like the studio is because they're supported by a pre-recorded backing track with a lot of additional vocals.

To the people saying blah blah other guitarist do it, thats kinda the point he doesn't have the flexibility to just use the higher string, he has to focus on his hand when he jumping to the top of the neck, he has to focus on his pedalboard and not too mention playing bass while singing is surprising harder than singing while playing guitar. Apart from back up singers he is reliable for all the melody that takes alot of skill. Rant Over
