    we're somewhat conditioned in today's society to not love ourselves fully. many of us don't believe that we deserve the best of the best, so we settle for sub par in different areas of our lives, which in turn tells our subconscious mind that we don't deserve better. in this video, I share the 3 foundational areas you can focus on raising your standards in to rewire your brain & show your subconscious mind that you do love yourself & deserve the reality you want.

    I was raised by insecure people who would automatically use me being “selfish” to get me to do things I wasn’t comfortable with. Set me up for being used, abused, assaulted. No more. I don’t care if I come off as standoffish or rude or picky. I have to take care of myself, and be so careful about who I open myself to and show love towards.

    raising my standards used to be such a "cold hearted" approach to things to me but little did i know, i had no idea what loving myself meant. raising my standards doesn't mean to be better than anyone or anything but to understand my own needs and live accordingly to them without "settling for less" because I'm afraid to give myself true self love.
    you always voice your streams of consciousness so well, lynette. thank you so much for always raising my vibes for the day

    So true, right now as I continue to shift I am more intentional with the relationships I want to cultivate with another person, because I want to make sure my mind, body, and soul are in the right place 💛✨

  • @KweKule
    @KweKule 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

    I’m currently in this exact shift.. and you’re so right cause I didn’t realize how hijacking it is to your entire being to even at its core, to have just ONE thought coming from a place that has the energetic power to make or break your reality.. self love means that you really don’t play about yourself. Being ready to walk away from whatever doesn’t serve you at any minute.
    this was such a much needed reminder and the different angles and locations are visually fun!

    Yes! A year ago I started practicing mindful eating in which I expressed gratitude for the entire process (farm to table) and I noticed a huge shift in my energy and actually felt the nourishment of everything that went into my body.

    Yes to everything in this video! I’ve changed my diet (as in what I eat, no red meat & cut back on caffeine), set hard boundaries with family members, working on my patience level, doing more of what makes me happy & it’s made a huge difference in my life now vs a year ago. 😊

    You put everything into words so eloquently, Lynette. I’ve been experiencing all of the shifts that you mentioned above. It feels so good to find someone who’s values that I align with. No one talks about how alienating this process of expanding your consciousness can be especially when so many around you aren’t aware enough to understand the shifts. This video is such good confirmation for me to keep doing the work, trusting myself, and stepping into the beauty of the unknown. Thank you.

    Omg, thank you so much for this video. I am trying to lose weight and my biggest struggle is eating clean. I am always struggling with my diet. I decided to look at the reasons I struggle with clean eating. Decided to tackle those excuses a little each week. I organized my fridge to avoid losing food. I downloaded two food management apps. Last, night I was watching the anime Baki season 2 and one of the main characters was talking about mindful eating. And now you mentioned it so this is my sign to stop looking at cleaning my diet up as this difficult thing. You are so wise beyond your years. Yes, all the media we consume can be so toxic. I remember watching the 4th season of power and having nightmares after the main character Angela died. I no longer could watch the series from their I watched less and less. I still watch a few reality black entertainment but less and less since it's always filled with anger and violence. I appreciate everything.

    Heavyyyy on the media! I’m a rap lover through and through but I had to stop listening to music thay glorifies violence/drug use/etc. I even had to stop listening to Meg Thee Stallion because I realized I had such a hypersexualized view of myself under the guise of liberation-there’s such a fine line there and I was on the wrong side of it fr

    Ok I have some thoughts on the "access to your body" bit! I think it's unfair to equate casual sex/relationships to low self-respect, *but* I absolutely think that raising your standards is compatible with (and even crucial to) engaging in that kind of behavior--just because you're keeping things casual with someone doesn't mean you don't deserve to have a foundation of mutual respect in that relationship. (And if you don't like casual stuff, that's also totally fine, of course!)

    I think the hardest part for me is surrounding myself with people who are uplifting and supportive because I only have two friends and they definitely don’t have a high standard for life. They think that they have to suffer and it’s really depressing to watch. I thought I might be able to help them but it’s becoming more clear that they just want to drag me down to their level. I don’t know how to let them go because I’m so afraid of being completely alone. How do I attract people who want to improve their life like I do? 😔

    • @inathi1329
      @inathi1329 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This might seem a bit obvious but how about becoming the person that's actively improving their life? So let go of the relationships from the place of "this is the next step for me in my growth and becoming the person I want to be." Accept that you will go through a time when because of that decision you'll have to be alone. Don't make that loneliness into a problem, just accept and work with it. And then a person or people will come that has the same attitude towards life as you. That's what's worked for me. You can't have something you aren't yourself first. This advice is based on what I've learnt from following Eckhart Tolle's teaching. Reading his books might help
