Not when you live in a world where the second you get the money to afford a new game/console it either is hella old already and cheap or the new game or console replaced it and your just a loser anyway for not playing it when it initially came out.
Just discovered your channel today and I've been binging. Really chill and relaxing content with a nice visual language and interesting topics. Keeping Talking Kiro cuz I'm listening.
You can have up to 8 people on one Nintendo family plan. My friends and I only pay $10 each per year for the family plan (including the expansion). You don't actually need to be related and you can be on separate Switch consoles.
Having multiple game options really breaks a games experience for me. The best gaming experiences I had were wen I was young with only 1 game to play for a long time
As a primarily Xbox person who is always on a budget, I mostly stick to playing Xbox Game Pass games because - since I'm the type of guy who enjoys a large variety of genres - I almost always find something to play there. Outside of that, I rarely get games at full price tbh, and wait for them to go on sale because I straight-up just can't afford paying $60-70 for each game. I sometimes get Playstation Plus Premium as well to occasionally play some of the Playstation exclusives I'm interested in when they drop into the service. Thing is, I've never owned a Playstation though, and I actually use PS Plus on my PC because yes, you can do that. I am fortunate enough to live in a place with very good internet, so I am able to cloud stream some of the Playstation exclusives I want to play on my weak PC. Because, yes, that is possible, but a lot of people don't know about the Playstation Plus app for PC. As for Nintendo, I stick to emulation lol, I'm not paying $40-$60 off eBay for 5+ year old Nintendo games.
2:16 I have a PC just dedicated to storing the games I'll play and trust me, I have AT LEAST 8 different launchers installed just to play whatever game I want. Here's just the ones I can list off the top of my head: Gog, itch, kartridge, steam, epic, Arc (not to be confused with Ark, which I also own) I might also soon get operagx just for the free games there too. The best part is the fact that I just use steam to launch all of my games anyways, so I don't care about bulking up on launchers, and I make sure to not let them boot on startup because it seems like a waste to be running gog galaxy if I don't want to play journey to the Savage planet for several weeks and rather binge shapez on epic.
I've used key shops since 2010 and bought literally hundreds of games on them. Never once had a key not work and haven't had my identity stolen yet lol
3:34 I've actually really wanted ShapeZ for a while now, and I'm super glad you made this video at this time, because I wouldn't have known it was free. Thank you.
I remember for Sonic's 30th anniversary getting like 10 different sonic games on Stam from I think humble bundle for less then 15 euros. I was worried it was a scam, but the true scam was that my pc couldn't play them decently.

My current situation is no money and no good PC to play, the only thing remaining to me is Emulate old games, and like, i already did with most of them =/
Digital store sales, f2p console/mobile games, and emulation are THE combo for saving money. Only time I dish out serious money these days are for the super personal important releases like Spider-Man 2 or Tekken 8.
@@wishvamufzalbulathsinghala7008 It's only illegal because some people want to own power and not because it's evil. Just like with some drugs like weed. You can watch the Video from Always Bet On Dunc: You Should Pirate Video Games
8:04 if you're into retro games and have a pc (can even be a really bad one) emulate them instead, it's free, gives you more games than Nintendo's subscription, and there are way more options to adjust stuff like controls for example.
For tip number 1, another plus for being patient is that you can have a better experience than playing the game on its release. Most game rn have been released with some bugs and if you pay full price, you might feel ripped off. It's best to wait for the devs to fix those bugs, get the game on sale and you might get your money's worth. Fro Nintendo subscription, I suggest to just emulate. You get it for free (sail on the high seas) and you get more games compared to nintendo's library. Also, you might be able to mod some games and use cheats, save states and a customized controller configuration.
I've been a budget gamer for decades and honestly I think this video is like a trap, the advice here will make you spend a lot of money, thinking you made a good deal. What I'd recommend is to simply buy used physical games, play them, and then sell them afterwards. They generally drop very little in value during the time you play them, so you're mostly just paying for shipping.
This is why I play games alsnog exclusively physically. It is almost always cheaper than digital games. I just got Death Stranding for like 10 dollars.
The Nintendo subscription honestly sucks ngl, its really weird that it comes with genesis games too for the higher tier because there's a collection you can just keep permanently on the switch store. The libraries also don't seem to do that much for 3rd party titles. Like, why isn't there Mega Man? Final Fantasy? Konami Classics? Idk, i just don't seem to get it.
I already have a massive catalogue of games to play so these days if I see a game I like I wishlist it and decide how desperately I want to play said game when the sales roll around. I feel like I've become that tight on pricing that any game above £15 has me almost click away immediately. I'm in no rush to play another game so I almost never buy games on release or at full price. The only time I ever do is when it's a game I *know* I'm going to love and pump like 100+ hours into (Examples being Slime Rancher 2 in 2022 and Tetris Effect: Connected in 2021.) Also, is subscription service gaming really 'budget'? It costs a fair bit to maintain and if you ever cancel said subscription, you lose *all* of your games. I'd much rather spend that money on a title I get to choose and can keep indefinitely.
I definitely understand concerns with losing all of the games that come with the service; but realistically speaking though, how many people replay the majority of their games? I only really replay my absolute favorites. Most games that I do play, I enjoy, but then I move on to other games. For people who have a similar way of thinking, a subscription service is actually really effective. Though, everyone is different, so I definitely can see why a subscription service isn't for everyone and I too can appreciate the appeal of owning your games.
Finally a video talking about the latinamerican gamer life lol All those deals really make having a game library possible (without piracy I mean 👀) The epic games freebies bring variety and the Xbox game pass is a life saver, it sometimes even has a big deal! As someone on a budget, I game primarily through xbox game pass and steam, which saves me a tonne. I used to be a nintendo guy but yeah...no thanks, i cant afford the prices they charge for games anymore.
8:07 tbh, *other* avenues are just gonna be better, especially considering NSO only really gives you first party releases and not so much any of the iconic 3rd party releases, so if you want to enjoy goldeneye with multiplayer without needing to worry about your switch having connection or hardware issues, you'll need to commit to living in the grey zone. Epic games free game feature is great. I got among us, sonic mania plus, roller coaster tycoon 3 and pc building simulator. My friends once got gta v there for free
Nintendo offers a free game trial every month also your forgot the access to free dlc Plus it’s affordable price Also you have to remember that their service is newer than gamepass and PS plus which have been around for twice as long NSO is still in its adolescence and it’s still growing and it’s great I wouldn’t call it lackluster if you consider all those factors
I never buy subscription unless if I have console and had to force to buy then yeah I don't have a choice, but when I'm on a PC I just get them when they're on sale, because I remember my credit card decline for my Playstation plus then suddenly all of the games I obtained from the Playstation Plus suddenly poof can't play them anymore :/
Tip #4(third world edition): Emulation. Remember, if you can't own it in a one time only purchase, only nintendo will complain about it. I have discovered a new found love for 2D games
You forgot EA ultimate and Ubisoft+, both have 1st day releases, however I think it's only obtainable on PC, on their app that can be downloaded via internet link (launcher) They even have refund policy, EA has at least. EA also releases games on EA plus, which is only 4 euro a month, but you have to wait around 6 months to play the latest releases on EA plus version. Which is really nice if you consider it's only 4 euros per game, you can have at least 40 hours on every single player game for 4 euros. If you don't want to wait, then you can pay 15 euros for 1st day release.
New games, AAA especially, are quite pricey when they release and often loaded with bugs, glitches, and missing content. By just waiting, the price goes down as the aforementioned bugs and content are patched. So you end up paying less for a more complete game.
Then there comes Pokemon and other similar yearly release franchises where the rose-tinted glasses are highly tinted that they'd sell great anyway even if they don't complete fixing bugs or just fixing some to make it look like they made concerned effort IMO.
its not bad or shameful to game on a budget ,it is smart,i mean why would i buy something for full price when i can wait for sale (steam sales etc)or buy code or physical,be smart dont throw away money,u earned it working hard
Yeah true gaming is expensive with video games now having price gone up for $70 dollars in America and games in Canada have gone up for $90 dollars. Which it is way more expensive in Canada which games in Canada shouldn't be $90 dollars which I'm just going to stick to buying old games on steam And even indie games and wait until those new games get price drops or go on sale since video games now are just getting way too expensive.
The Epic Games one is a big one. Epic Games Store kinda sucks as a store, I get it. And is massively inferior to Steam by all accounts. But the free games are nothing to scoff at, it gives out some crazy shit and I will never understand why people refuse to take advantage of it for the sole reason of, oh epic games bad steam good. Some other notable games I've gotten from EGS include GTAV, Civilisation VI, Alien Isolation, Tomb Raider Reboot Trilogy, Borderlands Trilogy, Classic Fallout Trilogy, and so so much more. To anyone else reading this, seriously, swallow your pride and take advantage of this. You will not regret it!
7:52 Nintendo may not offer refunds but they do offer free trials Also you forgot the free game trials too Nintendo’s is the most affordable and unique so that should put it at the top
