I'm gonna try trolling baitcrank or small spoon next time and also i would love to catch some bigger ones on fly rod ! its awesome spot to spend ur day fishing. enjoy.cheers
Great idea with the 'Backyard Series'! I understand how difficult it can be to get away to do a "proper" backcountry trip sometimes. Now I really want a boat.... Cheers !
Thanks bud! Great to hear from you. I really enjoyed your last episode in the backcountry with Diesel 🙌🏻 Sounds like it could be time for me to bring the boat out West to the Island 🤔
Are you using a manual down rigger? What type is it? Also, does it work well with the paddle ski? I m debating if i should get one. Not sure if it will be too heavy when you mount it. If it is a scotty down rigger, did you add a mount in the back? Also, can you do a video on how you mount the fish finder? Thanks
Thanks for watching! I’m using the lake troller downrigger from Scotty. I’ve tested it a few times and it works great with a 4lb ball. It’s mounted on a Scotty’s 241 base mount that it snaps into, so no extra parts needed. The Garmin fish finder is mounted on a Scotty universal base mount and also attached using the Scotty 241 base. Hope that helps!
Thanks for watching, Michael! It’s all built using the Scotty mounting system. The Garmin is screwed to their “universal sounder mount” and the transducer is connected to the Scotty “transducer arm”. It’s very simple to operate and it’s all interchangeable between mounting locations.

It's actually a 4-in-1 boat. I have a full sail rig for my Paddleski too.

how did you attach the fish finder to the inflatable like that? Do you have any links for your setup?

@@cedarcabinsociety that’s really cool! thank you!
No worries!
Troll a gang troll with a wedding band lure at the end tipped with worm. You will catch many
Thanks for the tip! I’ll give that a try when I’m next out.
I've put tons of hours in on that lake fishing, with almost no success
Glad to hear it’s not just my terrible fishing abilities then 😂😅 Thanks for watching, Grant!
Are you using downriggers and fishfinders?
@joshanderson924 fish finder yes, down rigger no, but i use clip on weights ranging in weight, braided line etc when I need to get down deeper
What is the name of the inflatable boat? I've never seen one before
Thanks for watching! It’s called the 437 PaddleSki and it’s made by a company called Sea Eagle in the US.
