31 year old who caught his first fish last week - I know, sounds ridiculous but a i’ve never fished before in my life. I’m absolutely hooked now. excited to be on my first trip this weekend - looking for rainbow trout! can’t tell you enough how the quality of your content has helped me gain a basic grasp on the world of fishing. there is SO much to learn but you deliver it in a way that is both informative and easy to follow for the novice. thanks so much mate - Australia 🙏🏼
It doesn’t sound ridiculous at all. Some people just start hobbies later. I’m sure someone on this thread caught their first fish at an even “older” age.
I am 44, and I had only caught 2 fish in my life (when I was about 5 years old). Then I got back into it a month or two ago. I've caught nearly 30 fish in the past 4 weeks, and a lot of it was because of these Addicted Fishing videos! Tight lines, my friend. This has been such a fun hobby.
I REALLY Appreciate that in your videos you "get right to it" and don't ramble or drone on. I've been fishing a LONG time and I always learn something from you. Thanks Keep up the Good Work.
For real. Im sitting here wondering if/what method my dad used when we he used to take me fishing from the row boat in MN. Wish he was still around to impart his knowledge!
I've been fishing for 50 years or so and you are correct I fish the same way, my dad took us fishing all the time.l really miss those days. We would go down to the river at night and catch soft shell crabs and in the morning get into an old rowboat and fish all morning. I love you Dad! Miss him a lot.
I love that you come across as a normal guy and paddling / trolling along with an inflatable, rather than a show off in the ultimate bass boat or something. That's all you need. Excellent video thank you!
Thank you so much. Your an amazing instructor. Learning how to fish as an adult is daunting and your instructional videos are like having the answer sheet to a test.
I am shocked this channel doesn't have more subscribers. It is by far the best produced fishing channel out there. Keep up the good work. Those who know appreciate it.
Your fishing tutorials are just great. I am getting back into fishing after about 40 years of non-fishing and these videos help a lot. Heading to the lake tomorrow.
Check out the ADX website, there is a blog section under the educate drop down where I wrote a blog about trout spinner fishing, there is another good video at the bottom of said article. Good luck out there.
I watched probably 10 videos on how to tie a fishing knot. Your quick tutorial was the best example I've seen on the internet so far lol. Thank you for the good video really helps a new person like myself learn.
This helped so much. I started watching your videos a month ago and today my fiancé and I went fishing at our local lake, it was a blast, we even used your addicted bobber's. we would love to see some videos on fishing from the banks as we don't have a boat or access to one at this point. Thanks again guys for getting me out again.
I realize this is over a year later, however, I was searching for fishing tips and found your page. Very well done. Concise, clear, excellent presentation and filming. Nice job. Your presentation was a great refresher.
Dude! I'm just getting back to fishing after a 4 decade hiatus and bringing my wife who has never fished along. Your tutorials are very helpful as you keep it simple but still cover the detailed information. You sir are an excellent teacher! And thanks for not being so full of yourself that you require a two minute introduction like you are the star of the old mutual of omaha show.
I’m a newbie to the fishing game. I literally just started last week. I learned more from you about spinner bait, well, fishing in general in 15 minutes than I have in the last few months from other guys who just post click bait stuff for views.
As always, thanks for the gold content. You asked for recommendations on content? MORE BANK ANGLING FOR CHROME! I can’t get enough, I think I’ve seen all yours a couple times at least. Thanks guys keep it up!🤙🏼🎣
After watching many of your videos, I think this is the first I’ve seen where you added weight to a spinner setup. Glad to see it! I do that all the time when fishing them in lakes and rivers, trout, salmon, steelhead, etc. I use a snap swivel and pencil lead with the snap end toward the mainline to allow the barrel to spin freely with the leader. Works pretty well from my experience!
your 101 vids are the BEST. i used to fish as a kid but was never taught how to do setups. you've given me the confidence to actually go out and try, thank you jordan
Does anyone else wanna chip in a fiver to get Jordan a pair of outdoor Encrhroma (color blind corrective) glasses? I love his teaching style and I want him to "really" see a rainbow trout.
Watched this video yesterday morning and went out after and caught a handful of rainbow trout including a 13 and 16in. Thanks for the info! Your breakdown on how and when to use different spinners helped me figure out I need to be using rooster tails in the small stream I was fishing and it immediately got me on fish.
Thanks for another great tutorial Jordan and Addicted Fishing crew!!! I had no idea regarding your tip on how to tell when your lure hits the bottom by watching the wakes from your line! Tight lines and have fun fishing!
Thanks for the videos. I used to fish when I use younger for years and years but it's been about 20 years and starting up again. I feel like I'm re-learning everything and it's videos like these that help me get back and excited to try out things.
Haven't been fishing since I was a kid. We're taking the grandkids trout fishing. What an awesome channel- we've learnt so much! So many new products that weren't around when I was a kid! Thanks for helping us beginners!
Hi from England UK. Great video for me a complete novice. Keen kayaker so looking to up my game and do a bit of fishing. You covered all the basics that I was looking for. Thank you
Going fishing for my first trout tomorrow morning with my brother-in-law. Fairly worried about my skills, I’ve never gone fishing! This video shared so many tips! Thank you!
Brother I feel like I should be paying money to watch these videos, these are so good and you’re an amazing teacher. My fishing skills has already improved so much just with the tips and tricks you’ve taught me.
I literally went fishing yesterday trying to figure out how to catch a trout at 15ft-25ft and I find this video to teach me today crazy. Thank you!!Maybe another video of other options that can help me catch those deeper trout
Dude, I’m just getting into spinning and this is the first video I’ve seen that’s been a genuine help. Easy to follow and informative. I’m 100% subscribing.
I absolutely love the rooster tails and mepps. I’m learning the panther Martin. To beat it all my 15yr son is the one who taught me how to them. Since he has gotten older he always catches more then me. So I’m trying to school myself. Thank u so much. Did an awesome job
I’ve been consuming this content like crazy lately. Best fishing channel on TH-cam IMHO. I’ve watched this one 3 times and even taken notes. My wife and I received some of her Grandpa’s fishing gear when he passed. He was a very serious fisherman just wish I had had opportunity to go out with him. Anyway he had what I think are called Buzz Bombs and I don’t think I’ve seen you do a tutorial on how to fish those. Thanks.
Your experience speaks volumes! I'm new to the sport and will be moving to Modoc County Ca where I hear the trout fishing is good. Can't wait to put this into practice! Thanks again!
Man at 1st i was like youbspeak way too fast, bit after watching the entire video I was pleased of how detailed it truly is. Great info and I also like doing the clinch knot. I love yalls videos. Wish you were more in the bass, redfish, and speck fishing. You do a great job with presenting info and make me want to go fish the pnw.
Love your videos Jordan!! I been working so hard for so long I never really had time to go fish! Shame because I love fishing. But I just got my own construction business up and going so now, being my own boss I can make more time to fish more then ever! Watching one of your videos a couple weeks ago randomly and you hooked me back in and since I been getting my fishing life back and stronger then ever. So thank you for the great videos and how you explain everything so well. You da man Jordan!!
Thanks Jordan. I have maybe 16 days of dedicated winter trout fishing experience. I did well with average 20 pound bags. I believe my bass fishing experience gave me a foundation but trout are different. You filled in a lot of gaps for me.
Thanks so much for great information. I get into the water in streams and rivers for smallmouth and this was very helpful - much appreciated and great work!
I'm pretty much a Roostertail & Panther Martin guy; but early winter as it is now, I have been having great luck with the Kastmaster Rainbow trout pattern for trout. In the spring, the frog pattern for small and largemouth bass. Good video, Thanks.
Please do a boat fishing rigs for beginners! As a new boat owner, I don't know what are the best methods of fishing deep water, and what setups to bring out onto the boat, as well as where trout and other fish tend to be on lakes.

Great video! I’m 73 and I haven’t fished in the last 40 years! I’m riding my motorcycle to the Arctic Ocean this year and I decided to take some fishing equipment with me. I’ll be fishing the Yukon and Northwest Territories, I have some friends up there to get me started. I’ll be after trout, whitefish and grayling. I’ll throw the big ones back as I’m only interested in fish-cook-eat for 1 person. I have a friend in Fairbanks that said a #2 or #4 gold, silver or bronze Mepps will catch anything in Alaska so I’ll have the same for Canada. I’ve been looking for a travel rod-reel combo, not sure if I should go ultra light or medium. I can get a medium Ugly Stick combo locally for $50. Thanks again!

The reason these guys are great is because they DONT post fly fishing lol. Plenty of others on TH-cam that have that covered.
Fly fishing is for liberals
@@ronfarrell08 bruh what I fly fish all the time and I’m the furthest you can be from a liberal
