    Hi Lance, enjoying this series, really like the way you explain, demystify and take the fear out of dismantling something alien to some of us. Good stuff, take care. Gareth.

      Thanks Gareth, Hopefully it will encourage others to have a go at their own tractor repairs.

    I always thought the restricted pipe was the lub pipe to limit the amount of oil lost to the lub side.

      They bought out a pto restriction at one stage as well. there are a few upgrade kits for these old tractors. Without watching it it is that long ago now I cant recall what I said.

    Thank you Lance for showing the Hi/Lo!!!! Enjoying this series. Will you be covering the Brakes as well? I have heard the linings can come off those as well and cause a lot of headache.

      G day Devin, Not planning on the brakes yet as there is no sign of lining in the suction screen but that does not mean after a bit of use they wont come off. I will get it going and work it and see.

    Good morning
    I am a farmer from Poland. I am in the process of renovating the hi-lo system in my John Deere 2250. I have a question about how to install the sealant L62272 and L62161 (they are made of plastic) and how they should be arranged during assembly. What system to do it? please reply. Have a nice day

      The lip goes to the oil and I grease them up well and help them into place with a slightly blunt O Ring pick and work it around.

      I find each country has its own part number for that bit of tooling.

    Hi there, somethimes when engaging Hi on my 2140 4x4 its like pushing the engaging lever against a wall, othertime shifts easily. What could be wrong there? Thank you for your answer.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Possibly not enough oil pressure as it needs pressure to hold it in place with the small detents if you are talking about the Hi/lo on the dash. If it is Hi on the gear lever I would remove the shift cover for a look.

      @@BundyBearsShed thank you! Yes, I'm talking about engaging lever. What it takes to reach the cap, what i need to remove to see?

      When it engages he stays there no problem. And he don't do this all the time..
