A little late to Wolf Alice, and busy catching up. Fantastic song. Amazing band. And kudos to KEXP for getting the mix so right. Theo's bass comes through so well in this version. One of the best I've found.

I have to say something. I love this band to pieces. They have saved my life at times, and give me goosebumps up and down the albums. KEXP, you are a world-renown studio and broadcaster that millions enjoy.
But when you have a SUPREMELY JUICY AND CATCHY BASS RIFF and you do not immediately cut to it - no matter whatever band is playing, it pisses me off. I have never seen any love towards the bass guitarist in any band in any live performance. For instance, it takes about 12 seconds to cut to the bassist in this video after the bass line comes in. Seriously. 0:26 to about 0:38, and 5 measures after starting.
If you have a new additional music component added to the song, you cut to that person playing it. Show respect. Especially for a beautiful, trance-esk song like this one here.
I love you, KEXP, but give the bassists some love.
I was teetering back and forth on these guys but I was sold right from the intro. They've got something special. I just hope to hear more music like this.

This band, I saw this band at ACL 2015, and all I can say is one thing.... WHAT AN EXCELLENT BAND!!! I mean, they have 2 albums and 1 EP and they rock!! Can't imagine how the next albums are going to be, but for sure they'll be as good as the first ones. Good Luck to Wolf Alice, they have a great future, hopefully I'll see them again.

Excellent song, well composed, well played. The whole band is great. But the drummer really stands out to me. It's rare to have a drummer in this sort of band (noisy Anglo dream pop) that can really swing. This guy can really swing. It's as if My Bloody Valentine had a really good jazz fusion drummer.

the mic is made by Sure (If you havn't found it already) I'm not sure the model - It was used mostly back in the day by harmonica players - she has lots of reverb on there as well.

My brain makes the most stupid association sometimes, but Ellie's vocal intro reminds me of macarena's intro so much.
Does Joel play double pedal or does he do the Dave Grohl doubles on the intro? Sounds a lot like scentless apprentice at the start.
He only uses a single pedal. It's all in his right foot.

They have great muscianship, awesome hooks. I'm just looking for some more passion from the vocalist. On her studio work she comes through very polished, but here she seems reserved.
+Keith Shelton I think she has a little insecurity holding her back. She'll come into it more as they perform more.
