Ellie’s voice is just Monster now.. interesting to watch a video where she discussed how much listening to Kate Bush made her want to take her singing seriously instead of just an add on to her guitar playing.
Recently come to the WA party, and I have to say that in comparing 'Blue Weekend' with most of what came before, she's blossomed from a 'vocalist' to a true 'singer'.
Only discovered them a couple of months ago, thank you nephew. Ellie's voice is mesmerising but the band all just seem so comfortable together.. Great band
She's sooo beautiful and makes singing look so easy. I always fall in love with this band when watching and/or listening to their great music. Really hope they soon will get the recognition they earn.
Damn, Smile really is THAT song huh... i just can't stop imagining how crazy its gonna be when performed in front of a huge crowd. I personally find a lot of old school elements in it, from grunge (Alice in Chains & Soundgarden) to some Faith No More here and there, also Pixies and Massive Attack. But as always that unique Wolf Alice tone ♥️ love it.
There's absolutely no words that can describe the emotion and range behind Ellie's voice during at final chorus in Formidable Cool. Her voice is so powerful around the 13:20 mark, leading into the shriek, followed by seeminglessly ending the phrase in the beautiful enlogated note. What a magnificant section in an already incredible set.
i was watching a video of them in the glastonbury 2016 and watching this one made me realize how ellie's voice is just getting better and better (and so does their songs)
Yeah for sure, and I reckon it’s all down to her confidence. You can see her body language and stage presence she’s got a lot more swagger. She’s not scared to go for those ridiculously high notes / screams.

IMO this is the best Live Version I've come across after discovering Wolf Alice by lucky happenstance. Since, I've become an addict. Ellie is Powerfully Mesmerizing. Her presence is Sweet Innocence to Bad B and everything in between. I definitely enjoy her lyrics and flow with beats that go from end to end. No cookie cutter BS here. I'm a joyous admirer.

These back to back songs really show the bands versatility and how amazingly talented Ellie is. The best band in the last 20 years in my opinion. I cant's remember the last time I loved every single song a band produced. Such variety, such force behind their music.

Is he really? Workmanlike certainly, but 'fantastic'? I'm not a drummer, but this seems to be no more than an on beat and unflashy background performance. More than in any other of their songs the band here recede to provide a background wash for the vocals. The bass is no more than a sequence of repeated pitches which change every 4 bars. That's not a criticism - it's great when a band work so well together and the instrumentalists can foreground the vocal performance without grandstanding themselves. I think they are a good band.
during blush she lost the sound in her headphone and then got it again and then at the end she lost it again🤣 but boy did we get a treat in those last few lines..pure😁
Great sound and performances on this. I saw them last night in Burlington VT. They did all of these songs, but it was sad because the sound was so bad you could barely make out what song they were playing.
