I think Ryu's special eye power was described less like foresight/future-sight and more like being able to monitor anything anywhere in the world remotely and maybe dozens of or hundreds of things at once. He might not be fully aware of specific people or events until it moves into his area of awareness or around someone he's already watching.
Seems like he sort of already knows Asta and was been monitoring him since earlier in the story; maybe even since he first came into contact with Yami. This explains why he doesn't know anything solid about the 3rd paladin's magic, he hasn't met or fought Asta, so all he knows about it is the one spell he used since arriving in Land of the Sun.
That could be true, but he could be a super genius, seeing everything and learning the patterns of what they all lead up to.

It's not foresight, it's clairvoyance. He can see anything anywhere but not forwards or backwards.

@@tripletray3 Easy. He can see Lucius giving commands and the paladins as they leave and no matter where they go in real time and thus he knows what they know and when and how they're going to act. So he always had time to plan because as soon as lucius gives the commands and lays out the attack plan Ryu begins the counter attack in a way that leaves him one step ahead
@@alexanderthegreat5114 Yeah, I've been thinking he can probably keep tabs on multiple people and places at a time. Lucius can see potential futures, but Ryu is always ready to immediately react accordingly in the present.

By learning the full understanding of ki that gives him access to be able to manipulate his magic like a normal mage he will get access too;
Anti-Barrier Magic, Asta will maybe be able to create a whole anti-barrier around himself or put his enemy in it like how Juiles does his own.
Anti-Compound Magic, Asta will be able to control his magic to be able to combine both anti-magic and magic to be together for a combination attack. Furthermore, he will be able to allow what spells can be placed on him, for example, Yuno star magic teleportation spell and not allow spells that he doesn't want to be placed on him.
Anti-Creation Magic, Asta will be able to manipulate his anti-mana without any physical weapon to assist him with his anti-magic he will be able to utilize his anti-magic in thin air like Yuno and Party.
Anti-Curse/Seal magic, Asta will probably be able to curse or seal the user to not be able to use magic again.
Anti-Forbidden Magic, Asta will be able to use more demonic wed magic to enhance his anti-magic even more than before.
Anti-Healing Magic, In the clover no matter what type of magic you have you can still heal yourself, for example, fire magic healing fire magic. Asta will be able to heal himself with his anti-magic but for others, it will do the opposite like destroying their life force.
Anti-Magic Attributes, Asta might be able to manipulate his magic to feel like fire, ice, electricity, or something else.
Anti-Magic Techniques, Asta might finally learn ruin or mana-method from Zora, Magna, and the heart queen similarly.
Anti-Reinforcement Magic, Asta will able to enhance his anti-magic body more sufficiently than before this could help to increase the devil's duration transformation, ok it looks like Asta learned this but, what he did was he, basically skips an important part of what all mages Bn t for his case he went straight to devil union just like spirit dive doesn't last long as Yuno own.
Anti-Restraining Magic, is similar to curse/seal but a weaker version of them since, it is anti-magic it will not only block the user's magic but any magic item they are carrying will be deactivated too.
Anti-Trap Magic, Asta might be able to trap his enemy like how Zora does his own.
Anti-Weakening Magic Asta could weaken their magic spells which could be good support for his alliance.
Communication Magic umm Asta can one for the sake of it.

Something tells me that instead of it being like a Hydra, why not consider the dragon like Ghidorah where unless you completely destroy the body or burn the stems of the heads, it will keep regenerating. Because the one most worrying thing about this dragon is that we haven't even seen its body at all yet, and still its heads are already the size of the entire capital. What may have made the dragon so dangerous in the past was because of its regenerative capability, where the old guardians were poorly equiped to deal with something that can seemingly regenerate from complete devestation. This would also explain why Asta has had a timer placed upon his training, because he knows Asta is likely the only one capable of stoping the dragon for good with antimagic, or to somehow make a pact with it...which would basically make him absolutely broken, but thats assuming the dragon can either be controlled or bargained with. But from what we heard in the legend, that is sort of what someone did in order to seal it away in the first place was that they likely gave their soul to the dragon in order for sealing it away.
It was said in an interview by the creator that asta will marry the dragon

I love how this dragon was hyped up to hell and back and they act all worried and stuff but just literally oneshot it with minimal effort. Here's to hoping it regenerates next chapter.
It is quiet possible that the real reason why Asta has no magic power and can use all the three swords is because it's already in him. A singular power whose ultimate technique is to nullify all magic. Maybe, he need the swords now but in future will the help of his demon black form, he himself will gain the ability to nullify any kind of magic.
- Asta is a real special being whose evolution might take place differently because he and Yuno were born the same day when the Demon was defeated and Licht was sealed by the first Wizard King or maybe some other follow up might've happened that'll spill out in the further manga storyline.
We all knew in the recent revelations that it was actually Licht's Griamore and swords which Asta acquired but the actual reason might be that Asta's real power will come up when he'll be able to nullify all kinds of magic or maybe able to reflect/absorb all kinds of Magic. There's a lot of potential in the manga for some exciting storyline and new concepts to add in this magical action based shounen.
This manga is going so amazing and adventurous... Can't be more excited.

Black Clover has had a fairly solid power scale for most of it's run. The only thing that's a little shaky for me is how the new Ki system mixes or clashes with the magic scaling, but I think that's because part of how it works is yet to be fully revealed.

well if i was ryu and had his foresight power i would set preparation enough to make asta look good. because i noticed the theme of this arc being of hino country having a hatred of outsiders. considering that asta has amazing work ethic i feel like if asta does master this new ability in time. then this could both save hino country and set the seeds that'll change their mind of outsiders.
think about it. you don't have to be a villain in order to be a chess master. also to counter any "well then he didn't have faith in his own team if he was relying on asta." yes. yes he does have faith in his team. he wouldn't of let them march into battle if he didn't. regardless of his morality losing important key figures would be too much. and the ryuzen seven are such key figures.

Here's a theory, what if asta already had a power but was unable to awaken it. Most "demon possessed" characters has 2 powers so maybe Asta had a power all along. His demon has anti magic and what if this is Astas power himself.
I don’t know I’m feeling the dragon will just get healed and eventually the dragon and the Paladins will eventually bring the 7 down and when it looks the it’s the end Asta will show up and kick their asses. Well 2 of them at least I doubt he he would attack Lilly still.

I just watch Skeleton Knight last night and there was a Hydra. I’m with plot armor taking out those heads probably used a lot of their power and if that thing is constantly able to regenerate they will eventually get tired.

Probably Komari because of Zetten. People from Hino are physical tho (Asta's weakness, so can't use Asta as a base for scaling), so don't know how they par against mages. Like I think Yuno would be a problem for them.

I imagine Asta will manage to arrive on time, the dragon will be revived in some way. He will "save" Lily from the mind control only for her to have to sacrifice herself to the dragon to lull it back into its seal. Honestly there are a lot of ways it can go but I believe someone will sacrifice themself in this battle. Most likely a female.
If they did that it would remove Lily as a love interest as well as give Asta even more reason to defeat Lucius. I mean since Lucius can bring the dead back to life it doesnt even have to be permanent but if it isnt it just kinda falls flat.

I do still enjoy it but I've been wanting to know what the heck is happening over in the Clover Kingdom. There are so many characters to just ignore during this entire span of time. Like what's up with the Black Bulls? Is the kingdon being attacked as all this is taking place? Are the captains planning and strategizing? Didn't the Black Bulls say they wanted to find Asta because they didn't believe he was dead? Ect....

@@dcanngieter I totally agree. I love Black Clover as a whole and to me that includes its vast spectrum of characters. There are characters other than Asta in this arc but I'm not emotionally invested in them. There is still so much to learn about the Black Bulls and it's a shame that they aren't being developed as much as Asta right now. Charmy's half dwarf lineage and Gray's new transformation magic are two story's I'd love to see. And as much as some people hate on Yuno, I'd love to see how he's handling both grimoires and the Spade Kingdom. Hell, we haven't even seen Liebe in how many chapters?! Though we are getting to see a bit into Yami's homeland, it doesn't hit the same without Yami actually being a part of it. Okay I'm done ranting 😅

I see this fight ending in a bs cop-out way where when someone is about to die on the ryuzen side, asta makes a superhero arrival and turns the whole shit-storm around. it'll be hype, but it'll most definitely be un satisfying because that's how black clover works. Characters can't die because that would be sad, heroes can't lose because why would they it's a shonen and asta gets power ups when ever the plot needs him to save the rest of the cast and just basically needs him to break the stakes completely and make any urgency or tension feel irrelevant. Also, I don't care if it's some kind of master plan going on in the background; again, it would still be a cop-out.

Don't know the story, don't know Asta, but here's what I do know, almost every Shounen I watch end up sacrificing the very thing that makes the main character special either early on or near the climax, and they become special almost entirely on their power alone and everything else is just an extra.
Yeah, he doesn't have any magic when everyone else does. But he gained "anti-magic" and a bunch of an anti-magic swords. He had different ways to use his anti-magic that seem pretty much like magic but technically he still "doesn't possess any magic". Now he has a devil companion that makes him significantly more power. Basically what you said

In Naruto, from beginning to end Naruto is an extremely powerful jinchuriki who went from zero to hero through pure hard work, despite lacking talent.
In Bleach, Luffy's personality never changes, and so far he hasn't lost anything that makes him unique as a character.
I think that in most shonens, what makes the main character special/unique is always maintained. They can lose everything else, but they usually don't lose the key attributes that pretty much give them their identity.

First is Those Swords are extremely heavy for Human Standards Asta can Only use it because of his Training and Superhuman Strength and Anti Magic gives User Extruciate Pain Asta Only managed to Endure it because of his insane Mental and Physical Endurance which he trained later for it to get used to it, Most importantly Liebe is Not even Powerful to Begin With He cant Use Anti Magic The Way Asta they pretty much need each other to overcome their own short coming, not Mention Asta Need to be Relatively Strong to Disspell the magic Or Erased it so he has to continue training to get much better physically to Fight even stronger opponent
