Those of us that have done ultralight bass fishing with spinning outfits for many years, dont have to buy lures, we already got them and now we can cast them with a bait casting outfit if we want - otherwise everything else is the same as what we have already been doing for the last 30 years - have fun and thanks for sharing!
Great video on BFS fishing. I have that reel on a Cashion bfs rod and I like it allot, mine is a right hand XG that I use for underspins and when I use mono it's a small top water rig. Wait until you use the Aldebaran!!! the Cadillac of BFS reels.
just picked mine up. been using cheaper bfs combos aand really excited to see what this can do out of the box with no upgrades to the spool or bearings.
Awesome review LB. I NEED one, of those reels for drop shotting, small critter and, spinner fishing on the river wensum. As, is, small river with lots overhanging trees and bushes. Spinning reel is difficult to cast accurately without over shooting the cast. Looks a worthwhile investment
Awesome video. Isabella l haven't upgraded my rod, and reel in a while. I'm looking for a new Shimano reel, and a spinning rod in the 7ft. range. Budget wise l can splurge a little. Any suggestions. As always happy fishing Isabella 🎣🎣🎣
Hey! Depends what your budget is and what you are looking for! Im a big fan of the zodias line up, the 7L+, 7’2ML and the 7ft M (super well rounded for everything)! If your looking for a hair jig/ small swimbait/ spybait rod, the 7’6 ML is a fun rod, casts baits like crazy!
Hello, i have a little question , i have put 150yd of braid 8x (J braid 8x daiwa) 0.6mm, on mine shimano bfs xg, it's good or too small? For lures with 5g and 7.5cm thank you !
Hey Isa! Great video as always. Liberated an old Falcon rod ML 6'6" then put the same reel on as you have vice RH. Have had more fun with that rig than any other. Just a 1/16 oz bullet weight, bead and 7" Power worm has really brought a lot of fun and easy to throw. How do you set the tension knob ono yours?
Awesome! And the same i would any other baitcaster, loose but if i start feeling the spool take over when i cast i tighten it till its loose but controlled

God bless you and your family between you and JP derose you guys have showed me that Shimano is quality equipment . I never knew Shimano was such high quality. im fun of baitcasting reel but after all i turn it back to the spinning reel because of the clicker when the fish pull it 😂 now curado bfs has a clicker now 🎉 OMG but nice pretty women nice breating also i feel when u breathen great job watching from philippines idol ilove u

Nice video. Shimano should send you a Zodias or Expride BFS rod. Much better experience.
It's always been in the jdm market it's old fishing style only kinda new here its some of us new about it before it blowup.

I can cast these a country mile but can’t figure out the kastking zephyr.
