For what it's worth I love my Chevy vortec, easiest engine in the world to work on... Sometimes I take it for granted and I'll see somebody working on their Japanese car or whatever and they got to take so much apart just to get to their alternator or their whatever...🗽🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I gotta build a water manifold like that one for my engine run stand. It'd be nice to not have to deal with a radiator and a fan in the way. Does that keep the motor cool for long runs like cam break in?
Yeah that is a pet peeve of mine. lol. Been doing Chevy motors for 40 years now and anything different just looks wrong... even if it runs OK... so that is just part of the build process for me.

Building one for my 01 silverado v6!!!
355 vortec with an built 700 R4!!!!
I can wait to see people's faces when hits a 12sec. Run!!!
!!!!!
Shenanigans, you can actually get to the spark plugs around those headers. ;)
You wouldn't be able to run it like that if it was a Ford. You would need to bolt a bell housing on to mount the starter.
Yeah but it would still run rings around a GM with 48 more cubic inches of displacement. 😉

Yes Sir. Runs plenty cool. Constant supply of cold tap water is better than any radiator can do. lol
@@apw30534 Where did you get the adapters that bolt to the front of the block where the water pump attaches? The rest of it looks pretty easy.
@@armcchargues8623I dont even remember. i think summit sells them. they are used in applications with a remote mounted water pump.
@@apw30534 Found them @ summit. Thanks!
Wait. Someone on yootoob knows how to clock an HEI?
