I would never be so rude as to refer to you as 'boy'. I am partially deaf and I heard every word you said. A very interesting video. Thank you.❤👍

Yep, the huge price tags for these presidential cars can not be overlooked. But the extras that was built into the car like bullet proof windows, armor plating, run flat tires, etc, does not come cheap which warrants the high price tag! Ps, the Kennedy car that you looked at was the car he was using when he was fatally shot. The armor plate roof was added later to enclose the car completely.

Thank you for the info about the armor plated roof! It’s a shame that it takes an event like this to make something safer.

You stated that the Kennedy car had a V6- I'm sure you accidentally said that- Ford didn't have a V6 back then- it most likely had the Lincoln 430 V8. Originally it was painted Midnight blue- a very dark metallic blue and the medium blue leather seats matched it. Johnson made them paint it black- although he hated the car and would only ride in it if there was no other choice. One source I read said that after the investigation they stripped the car to the frame and rebuilt it. A side fact- although it was a 1961 it had been updated with a 1962 grille to make it appear new. The chrome grilles on the taillights also were from a later vintage.

When Capone was convicted for tax evasion, the Treasury seized his armored car. FDR used it to go to the Capitol on Dec. 8 to request a declaration of war. He was the first President to ride in an armored car but it wasn't made for him. This is well-known but, considering the topic of your video, I thought there might be some young viewers who weren't aware of it.

Looks like armored glass on the Sunshine Special. Not that the Government wouldn't bullet proof a convertible.

KENNEDYS CAR AT 4:26 HAS THE WRONG HUBCAPS ON IT, KENNEDY LIKED THE 57 LINCOLN CAPS BETTER, THEY ARE SHOWN IN THE PHOTO AT 3:44. FYI

Secret Service now destroys presidential limos at the end of their service life to 1). Keep the protections and technologies that the limos have secret and 2). To test the effectiveness of the armor and make improvements to the newer models based on what they find when they destroy the vehicles. -According to the Secret Service and other sources-

3:09...What's ironic is if that rear "bubble top" section were bulletproof, JFK would probably have lived.

I know during the Kennedy Limo I misspoke about the engine, I did add a comment about that in the description. Please let me know if there is any other info I missed and I will place it in the description or we can talk about it here in the comments.
