I live in Michigan and there are hundreds of Ford buildings and factory's, he really left his mark in Michigan and his name is still everywhere. There is even a Henry Ford museum, and a high school named after his son Edsel. Everything he's done is still here today and we'll remembered. Henry Ford was truly a one of a kind person.

But the Ford family also destroyed Detroit, they got rid of all public transportation and other independently owned factories making us completely reliant on cars and car companies. This is why Detroit is in ruins and even today you must own a car to even work. I know many manufacturing hubs declined but nothing comes close to Detroit

One thing they hadn’t included in the video. Which seemingly caused a rivalry. William Durant, the cofounder of GM had tried to buy Ford motor company. Henry gave him the number of $5 million to sell. He knew Durant didn’t have the money. Which caused Durant get kicked out of GM. Then start Chevrolet with Louis Chevrolet and two others. To which Durant took Louis dream of having his own car and basically made him leave the company. On another note, Louis, had actually built cylinder heads for Model T cars. He and Henry didn’t really have an issue. But one more note, Durant got kicked out of GM, again… because he invested GM stock into Frigidaire. No joke.

I liked Your comment. The reference to Summa Cum Laude was noticeable because I must admit to loathing those who are ostentatious and tend to do little more than bask in the notoriety of academic achievements. Bear with Me though . When My oldest Son was in grade school the school nurse said He had ADHD and suggested “ medicating” / drugging Him to bring Him up to speed with the other ‘s in His class. Other competitive and ostentatious parents would see that diagnosis as a poor reflection on their genetic contribution’s and parenting abilities. His Mom and I refused . Neither of us had been stellar students nor braggart’s . We both have Our own Talents and strength’s just as each of Our children are different in their own ways. Our Son managed to be promoted to the next Grades and graduated from High School , sometimes earning credits by watching movies after School. In the meantime He developed Artistic talents and skill, became interested in Martial Arts and Japanese Culture , acquiring a working knowledge of Japanese on His Own and acquiring a talent as a gifted Piano Player on His Own without any parental pressure. We always believed that pressure can burn kids out with anxiety , depression and other emotional negatives. He joined the Army after 911 and became a Paramedic with the 1st Armored Division Giessen Gunner’s , deployed to Iraq and served there for approximately fourteen months , most of that time as a Paramedic for the reconstituted Iraqi Military and Police Forces. Upon re- enlistment He applied for Special Forces passing the selection and earning His Green Beret . He quickly acquired conversational skill in Russian and progressed through the intensive training to become a Special Forces Doc. Where He has since made a career. He found His element doing things like Halo Jumps and getting paid to do them as well as many other challenging and deadly missions that are the envy of any thrill seeker. He found time in His busy schedule that includes a lot of advanced training and Hospital work to Graduate Summa Cum Laude Achievement with a Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences. He Rates the Military schools as excellent saying “ you get what you put into them. So , yeah I am proud of Him and the adversity under which He has had to perform while others in My community pay out big scandalous bucks for their kids to get undeserved degrees while sitting safe at home and most likely heckling Jordan Petersen and Dinesh D Souza.

My very first car was a Ford 1970 XY series Falcon 4door sedan
I purchased it in late 1980 as I got my driver’s licence and having turned 18years old,
only a couple of weeks before.
I’ve owned so many cars since then, the majority of them were 6cylinder Falcons, mainly sedans, but also in panel van and station wagons.
Some were powered by the 6cylinder engines, some were even the later alloy headed 4.1 EFI version.
There were 302c.i/5.0 litre V8’s and others and some of the others were fitted with the mightier, bigger and stronger 351c.i/5.8 litre engine variety.
They all went well, they were always comfortable to drive, easy to maintain and they were always a very reliable car,
    so I stuck with them.
I was proud of all of them.
I’ve even owned several of their long wheel based the luxury versions,
    the Falcon’s longer wheelbased sisters,
The Fairlane and LTD counterparts and I currently own 3 Ford,2 of which are 6cylinder 4speed automatic Falcons and a very
collectable 2003 5.4litre V8 BA series Fairlane G220 sedan that goes like the clappers.....
    I love them all.

I love Mustangs I owned a GT500. I love this story, to think each car has a unique story and most come from humble beginnings makes me feel privileged to be a consumer of such sport cars. I hope one day I can inspire people in my country like this one day! Stories like this make me obsessed with success each and every day!

One fact that they forgot is Henry Ford infused his cars and steel with hemp even being able to use hemp oil as fuel. Making the car practically undentale to a sledgehammer at the same time. I believe it was in 1941

The Irish origins: The village of Ballinascarthy, situated between Bandon and Clonakilty in County Cork, Ireland, is the birthplace of William Ford, the father of Henry Ford, who founded the Ford Motor Company in 1903. William Ford emigrated to America in 1847 at the age 21, along with the rest of the family, including his brothers and mother, who was then in her 70s. In 1861 William married Mary Litogot Ahern whose family emigrated from Fair Lane in Cork City, and went on to have eight children, the second born was Henry.
In 1917 Henry Ford selected Cork for the first Ford factory to be built outside North America.

He also named his 13000 acre estate in Dearborn Michigan, FairLane, after his families hometown. The estate is open for tours, had its own power plant, and was completely self sufficient. The vast property of this estate is now The University of Michigan, Dearborn campus, the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, Ford Testing Grounds, and Ford World Headquarters.
