For the most part, the JFK limousine you saw in the museum was only technically the same car he died in. Following the assassination, the car was sent back to the custom car builders Hess & Eisenhardt in Cincinnati and was rebuilt from the frame up--armored with titanium and bulletproof glass, an all new interior, and other upgrades. Also, the midnight blue paint color JFK liked was redone in black to suit President Johnson's taste. The project was titled "Quick Fix" and took until the Spring of 1964 to be delivered back to the White House.

I'm not an Edison fan Either...!!! Also because of Nikola Tesla...my Hubby, a Master Electrician, actually told me all about Tesla in my late 20's...I had never heard of him, sadly... Glad other people, younger than I, are now talking about Tesla, and how he has been just Totally Wronged by History... Edison, Marconi, Westinghouse, the U.S. Government, etc., etc. All Screwed Him Over, Royally...!!! He died relatively penniless too...!!! How terribly sad...😢😢😢

When he showed his wireless inventions, the story goes he was asked how can we bill the customers and he replied "I don't know" so wires and meters were on -- Edison's work/Niagra Falls/ConEd.

I have never seen a carriage passenger train either . That was a lot of amazing history to see . I have always loved old cars and trains. My husband and I would love to have one of those old gas pumps , but they are so expensive . Thanks for sharing another great vlog Jordan.

Same memory, except I was in 5th grade and my teacher's name was Miss Kennedy. Our principle came in and whispered something to her. She got very upset and went out and got a radio. That is how we found out.

Great video. On the Reagan limo, the dent you point out appears to be on the driver's side but when I watch video of the shooting it looks like Reagan was entering on the passenger's side of the car.

You don't drone-on like real life tour guides ("If you'll look to your left everybody, you'll see some elk. Just a reminder to keep your hands and arms inside the tram at all times"). Very cool! Such beautiful examples of car design. The old Texaco brought back memories, when the service man would gas the car, wash the windshield and check your oil. Made me think of going with my dad to gas up.

You are correct that OJ Simpson had a white Bronco but That SUV that you refer to that would look like OJ Simpson's Bronco if it was white is not a Ford Bronco, it actually is a Ford Explorer made from 1991 to 1994. Ford Broncos only have two doors and are a lot bigger than the Ford Explorer

That was not an O J Simpson Bronco. That blue SUV was a 1991 Ford Explorer. That vehicle represents when SUVs started to become the vehicle of choice for families following Minivans and Station Wagons. OJ had a full sized white 1992 Ford Bronco.

Wow, so much I could tell you about this place! I live 3 miles away lol. My aunt worked in the garage at Ford & was there when they brought JFK's car in after the investigation was completed. My dad was friends with the guy that designed the Turbine car. I actually have a model of the car that they gave out at the Auto Show charity preview that my dad gave me. Mustang I, my uncle designed the suspension system. He was the engineer that developed the computer engineering software on Ford's IBM FORTRAN system. Before that they were still designing everything by hand. You didn't talk about it but you briefly showed it, the white convertible 65 Mustang #1, wasn't suppose to be sold. It was just a demo car that was sent to a dealership in Canada. Somehow, a very charismatic pilot talked the Salesman into selling him the demo car days before the Mustang officially went one sale. Ford was not happy about this. It took them a year to convince this man to give up his beloved convertible. They offered him the 1 millionth Mustang in 1966 & told him he could have any feature he wanted on it. He sent back the sheet with a big ol' X on the paper indicating he wanted it all expect the 289 V8. He drove the car to Dearborn for the exchange & the white convertible has been at the museum since. Edison, Ford, & Firestone called themselves "The Vagabonds". They would go camping together. William Clay Ford Sr, who passed away in 2014, was married to Martha Firestone. She is 93 years old. Their son Bill Jr is who is in charge of Ford Motor Co now. The Magic Skyway Ride, Ford declined having it moved to Disneyland. The only thing that remains are the dinosaurs that are suppose to be seen along the railroad at the park. I grew up around the ft worth/Dallas area. I have been to the 6th floor museum in Dallas where Oswald shot JFK from and look at the actual window. Your mom would probably enjoy that tour. You can walk around the grounds and around the grassy knoll. There's lots of rich history in TX! Enjoy all your vlogs! Thanks!

As to the JFK car: It was extensively redesigned by LBJ shortly after the shooting. When JFK was shot in it, that car had what they called a clear bubble top that they could put on it during inclement weather. According to J. Edgar Hoover, that bubble top would not have saved him because it wasn't worth a penny and it wasn't bulletproof either. The roof that you now see what added later by LBJ. It was bulletproof and it made the limo far more secure. So the limo as it sits in the museum is a far cry from the limo that JFK was riding in, even though it is the same car!
The car was evidence which went against the single shooter theory as the windshield had a gun shot from the front along with other evidence so it went immediately for a rebuilt the original windshield was scrapped part of the big coverup
When showing the JFK assassination limo, I'm surprised that you didn't mention Texas Governor John Connally, who was seated in the jump seat in front of the President. Connally actually took the bullet in the back that had gone first through Kennedy's neck, entered into Connally, exited his chest, fractured his wrist, and stopped in his thigh. What a historical vehicle!

I remember those shag rugs. When I worked at Howard Johnson in the 80s. After vacuuming, we had a plastic rake that we used to fluff up the carpet.

I can tell how excited you are about this place and how happy you seem to be able to film it for us, when you get excited, it shines through and makes us excited too! ... I only wish the video was longer! ... So much cool history of our past all in one place, i've actully owned a few of the same model cars you show i this video.... Sensory overload! Wow! I’ve always wanted to see the Henry Ford Museum but never expected it was this great. One can never see too many cars and modes of transportation! I had to do a double take when you showed the 56 Chevy. Never expected to see anything but Fords. You’ve done it again Jordan. Now time to view this again. Thanks!

I love the Henry Ford museum. Always something great going on.... Christmas is amazing. I started going there when I was about 10. Been too long since I've been there. Well worth the trip.
Oh, how I have always wanted a Mold-a-rama, just hinting. Loved the video. Love those old cars. My husband loved cadillacs, the oldest we ever had was a 44', the newest was a 68'; ah those were the days, but that was back in the day.

I grew up around the ft worth/Dallas area. I have been to the 6th floor museum in Dallas where Oswald shot JFK from and look at the actual window. Your mom would probably enjoy that tour. You can walk around the grounds and around the grassy knoll. There's lots of rich history in TX! Enjoy all your vlogs! Thanks!

Hey Jordan thanks for showing the JFK lemo it brought back memories when I was in 5th grade when the announcement came President John F Kennedy has been assassinated in Dallas Texas we we were All in shock a day our class never forget he was a very loved President
I love this museum! We have been there several times while visiting family in Ohio. Great museum and vlog.
As to the JFK car: It was extensively redesigned by LBJ shortly after the shooting. When JFK was shot in it, that car had what they called a clear bubble top that they could put on it during inclement weather. According to J. Edgar Hoover, that bubble top would not have saved him because it wasn't worth a penny and it wasn't bulletproof either. The roof that you now see what added later by LBJ. It was bulletproof and it made the limo far more secure. So the limo as it sits in the museum is a far cry from the limo that JFK was riding in, even though it is the same car!

The car was evidence which went against the single shooter theory as the windshield had a gun shot from the front along with other evidence so it went immediately for a rebuilt the original windshield was scrapped part of the big coverup
I don't know if I would have believed anything Hoover said. I guess we will never know if it would have helped or not.

When showing the JFK assassination limo, I'm surprised that you didn't mention Texas Governor John Connally, who was seated in the jump seat in front of the President. Connally actually took the bullet in the back that had gone first through Kennedy's neck, entered into Connally, exited his chest, fractured his wrist, and stopped in his thigh. What a historical vehicle!
A fun and interesting vlog. I think I stayed in one of those Holiday Inn rooms. LOL. It's a beautiful museum. Lots of beautiful cars. I'm a Tesla person too. I think he deserves more credit than what he gets. Thank you for bringing us to this wonderful museum. I look forward to tomorrows vlog.
