South Africa wanted to have all 33 selected player's to play part in this rugby world cup everyone of them got a chance to please the coach and they showed the world how depth springboks are with so much talent
So very very true 👍 Ireland rugby is to stupid to know that.
So true . Everyone got a chance to play hey.
7 tries and 100% converion rate, Pollard on form again, no complaints from this Saffer except for Mapimpi injury😮
Feel sorry for Mapimpi, but there’s lots of cover for his position, they could even recall Am if he’s fit and Mapimpi does not recover. Marx was a catastrophic loss but truth is we can cope without Mapimpi as we have many who can play his position.
The panel just pointed out some short comings in South Africa's play for this game, that's all. You guys love dishing out abuse to other countries fans but get all emotional whenever anyone has the slightest criticism of the Boks. Maybe stop watching and commenting on Irish podcasts if you don't like to be upset.
Why do you refer to yourself as a “Saffer”?
Mpimpi doesn’t matter to the team
Mapimpi wasn't on the same level he was at the 2019 wc. Tough luck for him but I think it is a blessing in disguise.
Nonsense just give Tonga some credit,
Don’t worry, my boetjies. Let them talk us down! We all know what happens when SA are the underdogs!
They are rarely underdogs in fairness.
@@johnmc3862 😊Fair point!
Lol, disappointed? We played a rotation side. Give Tonga the credit, they played so well
Tonga played so poorly, Ireland would have scored 100
@@Baz502😂
@@Baz502 😂😂 what?? Okay, so you clearly know something that even the Tonga team doesn’t know. They themselves said they finally delivered a performance that can make their people back home proud. Gotta say, you Irish have really become a real pain in the ass. Like that mall cop that wasn’t good enough to become an actual cop and now thinks he has way more power than he actually has. Although he will always just be a lonely old mall cop
@@ktm690endurorally truth hurts, Ireland would have beaten that Tongan performance 110-3
@@Baz502 😂😂 okay…. 😂😂.
Did what they had too. As a kiwi I see South Africa are building for a long run at retaining the Cup. Will have the luxury of less battle wary troops in the final as long as they get past France. You cant win the tournament in pool play.
Love your remarks kiwi friend
We weren't very clinical against Tonga, but I think that is an outflow of Tonga really coming hard at us. They played by far their best game of the tournament. In the first twenty minutes or so, they made to to our 22 like three or four times and only through some hard defending did we not concede more points there. They were very good in the set piece, they fought hard at the breakdown and they gave our rush defence a lot to handle.
Then also remember that we played a flyhalf that hasn't played in a long while - all these factors add up and in the end I think we can be pleased about the winning margin (even though I would have liked a bigger cushion for next week!)
Tonga were absolutely fantastic. If they'd played like that against Scotland they'd have pushed them very close. Boks played a very mix and match almost 3rd team so as a Bok fan we can't complain.
Irish ex players very arrogant for players that never won a world cup... love it, keep thinking you know it all Jamie.
Knows more than you 😂
sure thing jimmy lad😏
Tonga were massive…not sure to many Tier 1 sides would’ve come away unscathed from Tonga on that night…well done Tonga for putting it up👍👏….Boks need to be more clinical in Red Zone but serious depth in squad 😮🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
12 changes to the team… almost 50 points in the board and we still disappoint. Ok.
I wish New Zealand pundits (ie the breakdown) could watch a great show like this to see how a balanced view is presented. It’s fine if you only care about New Zealand and need an echo chamber but it’s crap if you’d actually like the game of rugby. Well done team - much appreciated.
Irish pundits being "disappointed" by South Africa 🤣 What-a-scoop.
Just job done for South Africa, they just have to quietly watch Ireland-Scotland next week.
Scotland will have nothing to lose next weekend.
Scotland 49-28 Ireland and south Africa are out
@jimmyobrien8738 Jaysus Jimmy, your certainly doing the rounds with this one😂😂😂
And SA fans to tolling Irish media to be triggered by average pundits!
@@jimmyobrien87382 hopes of that lad.
@@dogememer4780 ok 47-26 instead 😉
SA made 12 changes that rest could work in their favour as WC continues
You should be more impressed by Tonga. This Tonga team might just kick Tier 1 butt soon....
From a nation that has never progressed beyond QF😂
From a single person, not a nation, most people would seldom agree with Heaslip
Please Boks fans, every country has pundits who infuriate the masses: Jamie Heaslip & Matt Williams are very slow to EVER give Credit to anyone outside of their beloved Leinster + Ireland… they have a soft spot for France + NZ but everyone else was lucky / helped by the ref / plays the wrong brand of rugby etc. etc. Supporters of Munster, Ulster and Connacht think Heaslip is 🔔 end. Lot of love in Munster + Ulster for the Bokke given the long history of Saffas in both Clubs.
Typical green-eyed Munsteritis.
Heaslip isn't too bad, he's just cringe. Matt Williams is just a terrible pundit.
S Africa exposed almost all the reserves. Their first team in the knock-out stage will be more obvious.
You guys are a little unfair in your criticism of Tonga especially given the fact that they haven't played any real internationals for a long time whereas all the tier 1 nations play first line games regularly. World Rugby is going to have to address this disparity very quickly.
The are some concerns about our defense...I mean we let in 3 tries from Tonga
We beat these guys by +31 points with 12 changes in our side. How could you be disappointed with that lol
Because Ireland beat them by 43
@@Baz502 I suppose we don’t mind not finishing on top of the log
@mikeyjslater Well France are too strong for Ireland and SA put together
@@Baz502 time will tell man - I wouldn’t take anything away from the AB’s they can really turn up when they need too
@@Baz502this Tonga team was much better than the one who played Ireland!
Can’t wait to see Ireland go out on quarters to NZ. The arrogance of this country in last year is astounding
You played a poor Tonga in your first game. All Blacks will humble you in the quarters. QFs curse will continue for you, irish.
You have to play France though.
@@Byron5369-k8p so its a tough game and we can beat them as they can to us. worry about a rampaging AB's side
@@cornelcarelse7613can we worry about the Scots first🤷
Tonga came close to beating South Africa in the 2007 World Cup the score was 30-25 then South Africa went on to win the thing so your’re being real harsh on em here Tonga and the other pacific island nations have the best raw athletes they just don’t have the money and foundations to keep their best players nearly every tier 1 nation has at least one or more Pacific Islander in their team
If I was a gambling man, I would put my money on SA to retain the World Cup.
Job done as zebo says hard to be motivated when you have the bonus point
The bias from Irish pundits against South Africa is pretty ridiculous...
SA fans triggered by 2 Irish pundits! 🙄
@@johnmc3862 They're always triggered by something. Land of the snowflakes
@@benitolonard4441 If it is not the Ref.
.
Not setting your world on fire!!😅😅😅😅 lt was mostly a (2nd) side playing( New combinations as well !!!!!)
These boys can't hide their bias.... give Tonga some credit.
We not disappointed. We get the wins. Time will know that out of 8 world cups 4 are in the Bag.
The boks are playing an intelligent game, they have their sights on the cup, they aren't interested in demolishing a weaker team and risk injuries.
crikey - Tonga brought serious fire to the field for the first time this tournament.
This wasn't touch rugby like the ABs got to play or what others might have dazzled against some non-tackling teams.
There is no chance they drop Libbok for the QF - Pollard is WAY off game pace.
Expectation: Is the Mother of Disappointment. “If you expect nothing from somebody you are never disappointed.. Tonga should have won "but" the Springboks should have lost. "But"... is the saddest word in Rugby. Especially World Cup rugby. I hereby annoit the word BUT as the disappointed one.
The coaches just want all SA players to play in this tournament.
Which game were you watching? Tonga played like it was a Rugby final! Captain 150kgs Awesome. Tonga brought it & South Africa was in shock 1st half. Kwagga Smith was my player of the match he only played about 25mins but he brought stability, physicality & crucial turnovers!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 … SA was in shock … 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@jamesbond8191 That's an understatement!!! More like Trauma attack with panic attack 4 80mins non stop😱😂😂
lol really. I think we played a good game
This lot are jokers. The Springboks put out a 2nd string team 😂
These aren't the first team pundits
South Africa is not going to show you more than you need to see. Remember 2019?
Who remembers 2019? It's been long forgotten as a world cup, people only remember 1987,2011 and 2015
@@Baz502 such a poor memory you have
@siphovesel2043 My memory is good, but 2019 doesn't ring a bell at all, not even 2007 or 1995 ring a bell
@@Baz502sorry Christmas boy wait for Mr Santa to ring those bells..sadly we don't ring bells in SA rugby, we're here to make history...like it or not, hating it or loving it, swallow the truth or spit it...your bitterness won't make any difference. We copeted in only 8 RWC tournaments but see our record in RWC competition
Tonga was awesome and SA survived a brave onslaught. Who are these panzies?
You've clearly not watched Tonga before, they nearly beat you's last time. This Tonga side is shite
@@Baz502 ok big guy😃
Why these pundits over and over are giving such a bad review, disappointed?, South Africa played with almost a new squad besides a few players that played vs Ireland, I don't understand !, this team already after a few minutes of the 2nd half got the BP, and then achieved 49 points. I mean it was not perfect, there were a bit of downs, but nothing critical to be disappointed!!, Can RTE sport bring serious people, than clowns ?, Also Tonga was a strong team very much different than how they played the previous game, so at least there was a challenge, and they scored 3 tries, good for them, but still South Africa was deadly, does these pundits know what was the objective of this game for South Africa coaches ?, apparently not, so much ignorance !!!.
😮😮 the gentleman in the black / dark blue blazer ? , what are you really trying to say about SA ?
'I'm more disappointed by South Africa than pleased by Tonga'
a very accurate summary
Nonsense. A win is a win
Are we really that awesome lately.
People can't even notice that this was just another combination and more importantly 12 changes in the starting lineup.
I'm worried about our best team to play in the knockouts, not because of shortage of players but preference on the day😰😰. If we lose this RWC with such depth in the squad, it's going to be painful.
I fully agree with you. we kinda played a mismatched team...there were frustration and even some arguments between the Boks, Added to that, poor defence at time, as well as ball control and lack of discipline, which cost us a whole lost of penalties. Everyone thought we was going to slaughter Tonga, but they stopped us in our tracks. Yes, we won the match, but it was not with our normal flair. Due to the short comings of this match, we are now left in position where our fate will purely be determined by the outcome of a match played by 2 other countries. If we had to loose against Tonga last night and be eliminated from our group stage due to our bad performance, I would have gladly taken it on the chin. Winning the match last night, but not securing a guarantee of a quarter final, is a bit worrying. It sucks when one is dependent on someone else's fortunes, or misfortunes.
@@starrider529 well said mate, Ireland has only change made two to three changes at max, in this tournament for their matchday squads (consistence). I also understand Jac and Rassie idea of trying to show everyone is worthy.
It's experimental and about giving all players game time and RWC experience, but at this crucial stage, the Bokke cannot be fucking around with stuff like this. I got lambasted in another post for calling yesterdays team as the C team, well, this was the third different team the Boks have fielded in as many weeks, and it almost went tits up. I just don't want to be sitting here praying and hoping this one would win, or that one must loose. @@siya7142
Agree with the assessment. Tonga were excellent and yes SA did the job in the end but were dissappointing in some respects, specifically the finnishing and decision making . Now the wait..
South Africa didn't get a by-week. What do you expect?🤔
That’s okay. Don’t worry about the Springboks go and focus on your game against Scotland. Let’s see how that goes 😂 . The Irish and Scottish struggled just as much against Tonga. The Boks will enjoy some relaxation while these two teams go at it 😂
Not much of a struggle
Tonga were amazing and if luck went their way the score line may have been different,
Luck??? Sport is about performance to get good results...take your comment to casino for gambling that's where luck works
@@siphovesel2043 Luck is defined when for example when the ball hits ones shoulder leading to a Try. That is called luck . .. the ball coming off is shoulder rather than him catching and releasing it to his fellow player . That is luck!
@@CaseyKCRichards was that the only tru we scored???
@@siphovesel2043 Such a poor response on the subject of luck. It doesn’t matter Ireland gave them a whooping. Such a horrible defeat that should take the fire out of their asses. The irish if they want to along with Scotland can knockout SA out of the competition, Scotland beats Ireland with a bonus point and Ireland lose by less then 7 points for the losers bonus point. You can say good by to SA. These two teams are heads off each other even having an irish born player who played for Ireland in the Scottish line. Up. Let’s see will they collaborate .. and say good bye to SA
@@CaseyKCRichards mix in a water bud, Scotland has several South African born players and they’re not going to collude. Also, luck falls a little bit short in fixing a 49-18 scoreline in the direction you so desperately want it to fall. 100% given by the players out there for both teams, job well done by both South Africa and Tonga, but happy to see the Boks do what needed to be done on the night to hopefully reach the QFs.
Keep telling yourself how bad the Springboks are... Sure you will start believing it the more you say it.. :):)
lol. focus on getting to the semi's first, we're fine.
Ah pundits... They always know best.
Irish still on the high cloud full of it😂 your chips is coming boys
Go bokke
Ye won't get past France lad. 😂😂😂
@@Dedbeatz.All Blacks will eff you irish up😂😂😂
@@Dedbeatz.France will beat the Boks ONLY if they can dominate territory and set piece and the breakdown. Mainly because they have such good goal kickers. It could come down to how the game is refereed. If the Boks turn up and play their best rugby with minimal errors, then they will roll over France and have a good chance of winning the whole thing. They did enough to beat Ireland but execution was not good enough on the day.
