Ever since the first Epic Mickey this is exactly what I imagined Oswald would sound like, given from the little noises and grunts Oswald would make occasionally. It's not bad at all; you're just not used to it yet.

This voice is so Oswald! It fits him like a glove. Somehow, his voice makes me think of something closely related to Max, from Sam and Max: Freelance Police.It might just be me.
Disney should make a series of epic Mickey, a series not only for kids but for all ages alike. Like Steven universe for example, there is so much darkness but the viewers are blinded by the brightness. I can actually already imagine this series going and flowing in my head and it is freaking BEAUTIFUL, PLEASE DISNEY MAKE THIS HAPPEN o(^o^)o

Lo and behold, the first piece of media where we got to hear Oswald's voice in the modern era...
The artwork in this comic is pretty neat, although the mouth movements added in here definitely show their age.
At least it's a veteran voice actor, not some celebrity. Frank's been in the industry long to be in Wasteland himself.
And did anybody else think Oswald sounded a bit like the Joker toward the end?
Oswalds voice is a bit different in EM2. I think Frank Welkner hadn't quite got the voice perfectly here yet.
That's because Frank Welker is the original Fred voice, and still does it to this day.

@FunnyBunny161 It's currently on the Mickey Mouse section of Disney.co.uk. There was an Epic Mickey comic contest held this spring, and the winning comic got the voices done by the original Oswald and Mickey voice actors.

Epic Oswald and epic Oswald 2 the power of two
FINALLY!! Epic Mickey 1 is great, but my biggest pet peeve was they got great voice talents to bring great characters to life, and what did all of the dialogue come down to? Gasps, yells, sighs, and mumbles! Talk about a cocktease! But I kind of understand that approach; given the last few silent cartoon stars who were all but slain by the bestowing of a voice, the Epic Mickey team wanted to make sure they didn't ruin Walt's first creation so soon after regaining him.

Alright, so Oswald's voice in EM2 isn't annoying, that's a plus. Good thing, too. I don't think I could stand a whole game with an annoying voice for the character, much less a musical one.

oswald was originally going to be the original mickey mouse, but walt disney didn't like the way he looked.
That's not even true. Disney lost Oswald in a bad business deal and they needed a new character so they came up with Mickey.

Copyright laws were different back in the early days of animation. Lillian Disney remembers after Walt lost the rights besides his crew being hired away by Mitnz, except Ub Iwerks (brilliant animator and genius) how furious he was at the loss. But then on the train ride back home would Mickey Mouse be born and Walt Disney would make sure NOBODY could ever take away the mouse.
casedinlight Charles Mintz of Universal owned the distribution rights to which he hired almost all of Walt's animators except for Ub Iwerks who was the salvation of Walt Disney. Because of that Mintz took Oswald away and that made Walt very sad.

I think his voice is alright. But I do know for sure it's going to be better in Epic Mickey 2: the Power of two

Nope; he's voiced by Fred Jones from Scooby Doo. The teenage/adult Fred Jones, not the prepubescent Fred Jones from A Pup Named Scooby Doo.

Yes I know that. He was created before Mickey Mouse. However after watching some of the cutscenes of EM2TPOT and EMPOE I got use to it. It's okay. Still glad he's back with Disney and has big role's in those game's. :)
Love him as Oswald although I hope he makes him sound a bit higher for the game... So he sounds like a brother of Mickey and as if it would fit in the old cartoons
