Not recognised exactly what it takes for a son to express himself openly too the world on the loss of his mother, this man is showing everyone that its imperative to do
I was 15 , Russian girl when i listen to their music . Now i'm almost 40 , no more in Russia , and no more 15 :) but i still love the music . Heart is beating 💓💓💓
And where do you live now?🤔 No, don't worry, I won't stalk you, I don't think I'd live near you.😂🤣 I heard this band for the first time on the radio 1 year ago and I think this band is great although my music style is completely different. I greet you from Switzerland and I find the Russian language just great although I can not but very much like to hear and learn. 🙋♂️
I have 50 years of music pulsating through my mind . Mum saw the Beatles play twice , there’s not been a band like them since . Then you have the manics , boys grew up together , definition of a tight knit band . I can’t pay a finer accolade , my mum and dad both died young, these will take me with them.
I discover this song and this video this year and I play it too everyday, it's one of the best songs ever , the perfect description of a feeling : pure art
I cried when I read the description of the lyric in The Guardian's top 30 Manic Street Preachers songs today. I have been a fan since 1992 but I was unaware of this lyric's meaning in my ignorance. It is heart breaking. My wife lost her last surviving relative to Alzheimer's in June 2020 and is still badly affected by it. I lost my dad less than three weeks later in an accident and remain in shock and denial to this day.
That is not a girl but a man. He's Sean Moore, the cousin of the lead singer James Dean Bradfield, and drummer for the band. He also holds the 22nd fastest lap around the Núrburgring race track.
The agony and pure suffering of real, great, seperation from a precious loved one is told so well in this piece it nearly always brings a tear to my eye.
A good friend of mine introduced me to the Manics. We have been friends for a long time..we spent our youth and continue into adult life listening to and enjoying live performances of The Manics..Radiohead and Depeche Mode. Life has been good in that respect.
Lost my dear Mother to cancer when I was a Awkward 16 year old now I'm a 39 year old man with mental issues she didn't miss much about seeing my empty life! God speed to her.
I love JDB. Met him and had a great chat with him in 94. The bit in the video where he is in the water is so beautiful and upsetting. Great video, vocals and lyrics
This song brings me back when my Mum was about to give birth to my youngest brother. I remember being worried and guilty not being there as I was away for Uni. Now it's my little bro's 10th year. Time passes.
The MSP never cease to amaze, such diversity throughout their musical journey, so much emotion in this song, Ive shed a few tears to this number well and truly. Beautiful song.
A beautiful tribute to JDB’s mother from the most under rated group ever
That trumpet solo is as crisp and crystal clear as Ocean Spray....

If you didn't know 🥰
Not recognised exactly what it takes for a son to express himself openly too the world on the loss of his mother, this man is showing everyone that its imperative to do
indeed. James is so insanely talented that we dont realise what he's doing

In Greece is such a big hit always play on rock radios.Underrated band and never forget Edwards!
My Father in law just passed away. I have not thought of this song in many years and yet it now dominates my thoughts. Momento Mori
James is an underrated frontman
Love the manics
This song gets me through tough times, being diagnosed with kidney failure gets me really down. Love this band.
This song is really good. Stay well and keep positive.
Solidarity.
God bless you my friend. Keep strong

Knowing what this song is written about gives it an added dimension of sadness.
Such a feeling, such a story can probably be understood by every son who lost his mum. Strong emotion. Thank you for sharing it.
Simply a masterpiece... Every now and then I am playing this song over and over again, until someone/something stops me. Brilliant!!!
you got it

This must be the best song of theirs, love the guitar works, saxophone part, brings back loads of memories, love them forever.
I'm 50. My mother is still with me. But I'm always crying listening this song...
When I listen to that girl playing, it gives me the goosebumps, she amazing ❤❤

Masterpiece. Miss this band. Thoughtful lyrics and videos. There is nothing that comes close. Next to R.E.M. one of my alltime favourites..
Just want to give James a big hug after seeing this 😢
I lost a relative to cancer. James sums up this bottle of emotions beautifully.
The guitar is so so good and well thought out on this track
The agony and pure suffering of real, great, seperation from a precious loved one is told so well in this piece it nearly always brings a tear to my eye.
This song always makes me cry too

such a beautiful song, love the trumpet solo
A powerful song, always waiting for me when I'm waiting amongst uncertainty..
And once again, I come back .. to confide in this song.
One of the best songs ever!
The Manics always come through, and always remain fresh.
I think it's also very touching that Sean plays a trumpet solo in this, as James' mother was his Aunty.
I really hope the manics release know your enemy as an anniversary edition as they have with other albums. It would be so cool.
I found this song on a compilation CD, now I'm irrevocably hooked.
Hello me
What a great tribute. Well done.
What an incredible and emotional song... it chokes me up every time I listen to it. One of the Manic's finest, and saddest.
This band is so gifted! Makes me miss music from the late 90s early 2000s 🙏🏾

This and Folding Stars are the most powerful songs. Never thought they would resonate until I went through the same watching my own parents die
"Folding stars" is the title of a song of this band?I'm searching for that but I don't find it
The trumpet-part is a wonderful composition..
All these years.. same heartbeats
James is always so beautiful!!!

played by Sean moore himself.
