I was 18 and was graduating high school. Mtv2 is playing in the living room while mom is cooking dinner and Gramma walks over every evening at the same time, while this video is playing. She knew most of the lyrics and we would dance and sing while mom cooked. Oh, to have those moments back again. I miss her so much.

I was struck by lightning in Pelaw near Newcastle in 2011. It was life changing. No permanent ill effects, but kinda reset my entire outlook. Like the apps were wiped, but my operating system was still there. I've suffered from a photographic memory ever since.. It's good in some ways, but not in others. Happily married with lovely kids btw, not some wierdo. Being able to read the newspapers without buying them and recounting word for word at home saves a fortune!

Travis performed a couple of songs outside near the market square in cambridge a number of years ago. The weather was fine untill they started playing this song , it then started to rain.!! Incredible , everyone just laughed and smiled. I was there. St Michael. Cambridge A Speacial city. The Home City of the Next Messiah The Holy Ghost. He single handly raised the sanctaty of the spirit of Cambridge to a higher level. I saw sigourny weaver in cambridge a few years later. She was amazed , i think she could sense the soul of Cambridge was on a higher level spiritually then anywhere else she may have been.

I had never heard of this song or group (old texan white boy)--until I heard it on William and Mary--great drama with the fabulous Martin Clunes ----they played it during a funeral scene--my cold, cold heart was crying---excellent show with great writing and great song

I remember watched this MV for the first time back in 2010 on Channel V. I was 16 at that time. And here I am already 30 and still listening to the same song.
I was going through a very difficult period in my life when Travis released this song and it described exactly how I was feeling except for feeling the sunny days belonging. Rather than further depress the heck out me I found it quite uplifting and eventually found the sunny days again. Thank you Travis for your wonderful music.
I heard this at a motel during my great grandma's funeral and it really helped me get through the tough times then.
This is one of my favourite songs when I'm down and depressed. It shows me that I'm not alone with those feelings.

I was struck by lightning in Pelaw near Newcastle in 2011. It was life changing. No permanent ill effects, but kinda reset my entire outlook. Like the apps were wiped, but my operating system was still there. I've suffered from a photographic memory ever since.. It's good in some ways, but not in others. Happily married with lovely kids btw, not some wierdo. Being able to read the newspapers without buying them and recounting word for word at home saves a fortune!

Literally just seen the band live tonight in Derry. Unbelievable. Was like listening to the CD. Pitch perfect. Serious nostalgia. They have aged well, and still look very similar. Musically they sound as good as ever!!!
