I think the choice will be made on the economy. America is $35 trillion in debt (an historic record) Cost of living: Grapes cost $10, Car Insurance premiums have gone up 47% since 2021 and, of course, the increasing cost of housing & fuel. Layoffs, particularly in the tech sector, are rising & new hires are drying up. Under her tenure, Ms Harris’s home city of San Francisco has: One of the highest number of unsheltered homeless people in the US One of the highest number of drug addicts in the US Biggest exodus of tech jobs from the state due to high taxes, property prices & crime. The Union Square Shopping Mall has shut due to lax crime laws on shoplifting Only 27% of lower income households in America think they’re doing OK. Not looking good for Ms Harris.
One of the things that is new in ‘education’ is the large numbers of people now holding un-valued (not under-valued) frankly ‘silly’ degrees, because of a sillier notion by Blair thst huge percentages of people ought get degrees…even buy them as now, and huge shortages of skilled technical and business people.
So I live in NYC and it’s definitely true that the “shame” of supporting Trump is definitely waning! 8 or even 4 years ago even people who supported Trump would not admit it in public this time around I see a lot of people even around liberal circles are more candid in their support of Trump. It’s not a cultural fauxpax to openly like Trump that’s for sure
Vivek Ramaswamy was very popular with Trump's base. And he can talk to "normal people" much better than JD Vance. Also Ron DeSantis in my opinion is the frontrunner for 2028. Your panel know very little about the American GOP.
JD is waaaay better than DeSantis. I had high hopes for DeSantis and he really let himself down in his run for Presidency namely that he came out and said he wanted to stop the Ukraine war and with the tiniest bit of push back retracted his statement. That’s not what is needed in the top. You need leaders that stick to their convictions.
I agree but his main point still stands; the downright embarrassing ignorance of otherwise based British commentators on US electoral politics is almost endemic. This craven attempt to be seen to be offering critiques of both sides leads to some frankly bizarre contortions. My fellow brits; Its ok to say that the democrats are either insane or the puppets of a corrupt establishment and not have to mention trump’s indecorous social media behaviour
@@kenthhamner2641 y’all are crazy man. I like JD Vance and all but he was nobody until Trump elevated him. Vivek is a much more skilled debater on culture war issues and DeSantis has actually governed a state. The problem is DeSantis is an absolute sh!t campaigner against Trump.
Here is a novel idea...if they had actually run a fair primary and let their own people chose a candidate. Then they would win easily. Even though Cali is terrible Gavin Newsom would have destroyed Trump. Unlike Kamala he can actually communicate.
Pretty sure you're in sparse company to claim it's neutral to say she won their debate. She said absolutely nothing of consequence. Her only "argument" is "I'm not orange hitler".
The panel didn't seem to research the actual demographics of the poor in the United States. In fact, in rural America, the poor represent 15.4% of the population, while in urban American, it's 11.9%. So, you're more likely to find a poor Republican working in a feed store in the farm belt of Iowa then you would an urban minimum wage earning Democrat flipping burgers at a McDonalds in Baltimore, when you adjust for population density. 52% of Americans live outside of the urban and rural areas, in places we call " The Suburbs ". There are suburbs of New York City, just as their are suburbs of Ames, Iowa...or Los Angeles...or Denver, Colorado...Dallas, Texas...Detroit, Michigan... Sacramento (CA)....and, Minneapolis, Minnesota. They are all culturally and politically different in makeup.
I think people underestimate the Muslim andArab community. If they’re voting, they were either born here or became a naturalized citizen. They can love their homeland, but see what’s happening in their own backyards. He just wants NATO to pay their fair share and he represents many Americans who don’t want to be the police of the world.

Cost of living: Grapes cost $10, Car Insurance premiums have gone up 47% since 2021 and, of course, the increasing cost of housing & fuel.
Layoffs, particularly in the tech sector, are rising & new hires are drying up.
Under her tenure, Ms Harris’s home city of San Francisco has:
One of the highest number of unsheltered homeless people in the US
One of the highest number of drug addicts in the US
Biggest exodus of tech jobs from the state due to high taxes, property prices & crime.
The Union Square Shopping Mall has shut due to lax crime laws on shoplifting
Only 27% of lower income households in America think they’re doing OK. Not looking good for Ms Harris.
If there were Primaries, Newsome, Whitmore, Shapiro, RFK would poll ahead. Harris would come 6th. We need new. Elites.
Never Newsom! Most people outside CA can‘t stand him.
American here - this panel is off its rocker.
Excellent, intelligent and highly engaging debate

Vivek Ramaswamy was very popular with Trump's base. And he can talk to "normal people" much better than JD Vance. Also Ron DeSantis in my opinion is the frontrunner for 2028. Your panel know very little about the American GOP.
You clearly haven't listened to JD at depth. He's the most down to earth person in recent elections.
And you apparently have never listened to JD but instead informed your opinion from media.
Laughing at these jokes by these 4 deserves Jail time!!! 🙄🙄😁😑 Brexiteer cheerleaders trying to explain common sense!
The Democrats line of crap just got old and they couldn’t put an appealing face on it.
Here is a novel idea...if they had actually run a fair primary and let their own people chose a candidate. Then they would win easily. Even though Cali is terrible Gavin Newsom would have destroyed Trump. Unlike Kamala he can actually communicate.
Love Freddy’s expressions! 😂❤
Pretty sure you're in sparse company to claim it's neutral to say she won their debate. She said absolutely nothing of consequence. Her only "argument" is "I'm not orange hitler".
It will be at least 4 more years before things settle down.
The host is a cornball lol
Freddy is a f&cking star 🌟
Very good !
more like a referendum on stupidity
Awesome!! Thanks for hosting the conversation. And wow. You are amazing at hosting Freddy!

I think people underestimate the Muslim andArab community. If they’re voting, they were either born here or became a naturalized citizen. They can love their homeland, but see what’s happening in their own backyards.

Not sure how she thinks Kamala can't string together a sentence. Is she watching her interviews? How can she find the former President funny at this point. No, women are dieing. I hope us American Women knock out this nonsense.
We've seen Cackles' interviews. There's no there , there. (What women are dieing?)
Good debate. Maybe less picking on the lady's choices.
Great questions. Loved the audience
Where did that take place? The Quaker Meeting House in Euston maybe?
"the toss-off states".
Brilliant.
Interesting discussion without the vitriolic partisan politics that is embedded in America.
We have the same in the UK about local government. The difference being that public discussion is either banned or called right wing terrorism.
We will know by midnight on election night
Does Tim Stanley have an Angela Raynor?!

This is a libertarian British show that really capture the political essence of America that American shows fail to do.

What is the point of Kate Andrews as a political pundit ~ ~ She doesn't seem to have any political beliefs / principles ~ ~ Basically a Vacuum.
useful idiot for the establishment (controlled opposition)
She’s interesting to listen to and writes well. I’m quite relieved she doesn’t tie her flag to a mast.
Promise, it will not be anything like close. Trump to win with 310-20 ecvs.
Trump has such great comedic instincts, it's given him a worse reputation than he deserves. The 2016 line about Mexicans being "raxxxxpist, murderers, and some are nice people" is hilarious one if You allow Yourself to find the humour in it. Also the line was only delivered bc it was funny; his comedic instincts drive him on stage.
Biden was a fantastic partner in Afghanistan?????😂😂😂😢
Actually, Kamala has no business claiming to be black according to Candace Owens and Janet Jackson. I think they are right.
Name checks out.
I always find the educated British opinion of American politics, pretty hilarious.

@@vch1935 Well, I will start out saying that I truly love the English. But oftentimes, this particular subset has a "two smart by half" assessment of where the American people are politically.
@@happyhunting1000 I can tell you that I’m not that educated in American politics, and not that smart, but I am curious and from what I learn from UK and American media, it feels difficult to get a clear understanding of where Americans are politically. I just hope that people get a clear idea of what each candidate stands for without too much interference and that they vote with their hearts and heads, and that it turns out ok!
The next few years are going to be great! BOYS WE ARE BACK!!!!!!
Because it's a joke
The discussion gives the impression that US politics only involves the issue of 'personality', which is absurdly neglectful of the real dangers of electing Harris.
Unfortunately that's what TDS is. It should always be principles before personalities but many Americans are too blind to see. Maybe even enough to swing the vote her way. More need to wake up.
I mean politics with money and media is an issue of personality. I ran locally. I arguably had the most knowledge of how government works and what can be done to fix problems. I got out spent by tens of thousands of dollars but a young woman whose entire campaign was "I am a mom and homeless people scare me." She won. People want to feel good. They dont care about policy. This is how Trump and Harris are neck and neck and NEITHER OF THEM has actually articulated how they are going to navigate the next 4 years of crisis.
It is not forgivable for Trump to try to sell the weak to the strong in order to reject virtue in submission to avarice
Americans have it TOO GOOD, and TOO EASY ... to have a Civil War ... LOL! 🙂

The racism towards Harris here is truly disgusting. Fortunately, she’s going to win and win big.

It isn't racism or sexism. THe truth is that she is absolutely dreadful. She will lose.
