spoliers ahead Now, after season 7, we learned Fives' sacrifice was NOT in vain. In fact, Rex filed a report on what he learned from Fives, but missed some important parts that Fives could not converse. However, with the realization that Order 66 and the turn of the clones wasn't normal, along with Rex's short sentence to "find Fives" before the chip kicked in, Ahsoka was able to figure it out and removed Rex's chip. Fives saved Rex.
I disagree that his best and most important trait was his independence, although he certainly had that. No, his greatest trait was undeniably his beliefs and his view on his clone brothers and what he believed a clone was or should be. He was wise on the level of someone like Qui-Gon, believing in the true spirit of what he was fighting with or for rather than the letter of the law. The reason he was independent wasn’t because he was a loner or a rebel or didn’t respect his superiors, he was independent because he didn’t have to rely on orders to know what the right thing to do was and act on it. All in all one of my favorite characters.
Watching the last episode of fives was the hardest episode of any series I have ever watched. To watch someone give it EVERYTHING they have to save their friends, and honor the sacrifices of their brothers.. and still fail.. my heart has never sank so low. 😞
Using the scenes where Fives uses his wits to trick his pursuers with smile on his while telling his death and his contributions to his brothers instead of using scenes depicting how he died in vain was a GREAT idea and an honorable approach to his Status as an ARC Trooper.
What's kinda funny and ironic about Geetsly's statements about the kaminoans viewing him as borderline defective is that both Commandos and A.R.C. troopers were meant to be more independent. On a side note, the Null class A.R.C. troopers -- the progenitor to the current A.R.C. troopers -- were highly independent and very aggressive to the point where they were outcasts among their brothers. The Kaminoans saw them as "defective". And all three of them were "bred" to be like that. Granted a regular Clone trooper can still join the ranks of either Commandos or A.R.C. troopers like Fives did.

Fives was always my favorite Clone. He may be a Disney Wars(Disney Canon) Character but he deserves a Spot in Legends. The True Star Wars. There was never a more loyal trooper then him. If he still had his inhibitor and was still alive during Order 66, I know he'd resist it. He was always a free spirit and critical thinker. Always one step ahead of everyone else. He deserves the Utmost respect from all Star Wars and Disney Wars fans alike. *May he Rest in Peace and become one with the Force*
Fives, the Domino squad survivor that was ultimately too smart for his own good. Can we get some Fs for one of the best written characters in the show?
5's was a great man and I wish Rex would of talked more about him. Only Rex could put those pieces together and only Rex could bring Ani back from Vader because he could see the full picture thanks to 5's.
It's funny how of all the people that actually posed a threat to palatines grand plan before the purge the two who actually worried him were Padmae and 5's, they didn't need the force to interfere and nearly stop the sith grand plan
6:44 "while Five's actions were ultimately in vain... 6:53 "ultimately his sacrifice is what convinced Rex and Jessie to investigate the inhibitor chips further and ultimately remove theirs"😑 (proceeds to say ultimately again)
Palpatine recognized 5s intelegence. I dong think he feared him, but knew he was a major threat. Palpatine had contingency plan after contingency plan, but didn't plan on 5s. This is why (in my opinion) he revealed everything to him. Order 66, the creation of the Empire, and, if I remember correctly, the fact that he was a sith lord. There were so many other ways Palpatine could have stopped 5s. Again, he was a brilliant and patient tactician. Yet he chose to reveal everything. Why? Yes, it was the quickest way to make 5s look crazy. But thats such a dangerous move. If 5s had told Anakin, Obi Wan, or Ashoka the Siths master plan wpuld have crumbled in a matter of days. I believe that 5s impressed Palpatine so much that the clone earned a glimps into his grand plan before having him killed. This also makes 5s, to my knowledge, the only individual outside of Palpatines most inner circle to learn of order 66 before the order was given.
Fives was definetly an oddity like Rex and Alpha, unfortunatly after he was drugged by the kaminion doctor it all went down hill. Whatever that drug was it made him much more aggressive, drowsy, not think straight and confuse him when he got stressed. The further into the episode he went after being drugged the more unstable he began to act. It ultimately made him look crazy when Anakin and Rex met him. Though Rex took his words seriously enough to investigate later, Anakins loyalty to Palpatine along with Fives erratic behaviour made him unfazed by the information he was trying to tell them. I'd say Fives became very dumb in his final episode but the drug was impeading his ability to think straight, or even act normal. He he been able to think straight and express his evidence more clearly he may have stopped to explain to Shaak Ti what he was doing, but instead panicked and ran. Though the personal Guard of palpatine who were recovering probably made him run too. Later when he met Anakin and Rex, he was so close to really explaining everything, but he kept losing focus, getting gradually more angry, and when his seemingly insane rambling was effecting Anakin it only drove him more mad. Sadly that one injection was Fives undoing, and the downfall of the entire republic, remember that. That Kaminion doctor single handedly ruined Fives with one injection.
fives's independence was way more than any other clone. He was the breaking point for rex who ultimately caused him to not do Krells bidding. Fives's independence was his tragic flaw, and I bet some people realized that his defiance was going to get him killed at some point in the show.
I thought it was Kix? The 501 Medic? The clone that found out about a Order 66 in its entirety? So he was “mysteriously” taken by clankers and was put into a cryopod on a Seperatist ship. The ship hyperspaced outa the battle, and went to random coordinates and crash landed on a remote planet. Years later, like Force Awakens time, he’s released by Pirates, possibilities are the guy with the Red helmet with horns we see come off a ship. I heard this is what happened, with numerous accounts backing it up. Fives should be Feared, but remember, he wasn’t the only one who knew. Kix saw and figured It it in its entirety, which made him even more dangerous. Anyways, God Bless!
The true chosen one if you ask me, because if the odds were in his favor, Shaak Ti wouldn't be naive enough to send him to Palpatine and listen his discovery about his research with the Jedi-Council instead. Heck, he as an ARC-Trooper could've been an even more formidable opponent to Palpatine, because he even has a much less gullible mind than Anakin himself who got tricked by Sidious.

You said Heavy, but the picture of the clone that you put is Hardcase.
I don't normally cry, but his death brought tears to my eyes
His death was one of the best moments on the show???
Seriusly i knew he would fail but it was an affull moment to see an beloved side charachter die.
One of the best moments in the sense of one of the moments with the strongest emotional impact on the audience. Not that anyone wanted Fives to die.
Geetsly's : "Echo, Heavy-"
Me: "Wait! That's Hardcase not Heavy!"
Hevy*
It's bold of you to assume that he is just a mere clone
Right. He is a traitor
@@cqbjones4861 Most clones were traitors thanks to Order 66
Nic Name no they followed orders.
@@cqbjones4861 "Good soldiers follow orders..."
Nic Name yup. Fives is a traitor to the empire.
Everyone knows that Palpatine also feared another... CT-6666 “Sixes”
How come?
Who was CT-666?
FORTY7OUT aight so i looked up “Ct-6666” and it turns out he’s real, i thought this post was a joke but nope! He was present in many battles for example the battle of Umbara, Second battle for Geonosis, Battle of Kamino, Liberation of Ryloth, and he was apart of the 501st legion so he was at the jedi temple during order 66, he even killed a couple jedi Padawans there, we see him kill one on screen when a jedi padawn ambushes clones who are asking Bail Organa to leave the temple and Because of this ambush we see 6’s commander “appo” get wounded and go down but we see sixes finish off the padawn on screen, he serverd in the empire under the 501st legion and under vader, sixes did nothing to make palpatine afraid of him so therefore he lived to die

Me: You dont say
Fucking Fox. Fives is definitely one of the best.
Sigh... if only fives could have done it. Would be a fascinating alternate timeline!
You say in the video that Jesse and Rex both removed their chips... Now we know otherwise
6:54 that statement aged like milk
Fives, the Domino squad survivor that was ultimately too smart for his own good.
Can we get some Fs for one of the best written characters in the show?
F
5's was a great man and I wish Rex would of talked more about him. Only Rex could put those pieces together and only Rex could bring Ani back from Vader because he could see the full picture thanks to 5's.
Fives’ death is the saddest moment in the clone wars easily
I love fives because his ARC armour looks amazing and he is a great soldier and has spirit
Fives was my favorite ever since the Rishi episode. I have an action figure of him in my room
Top 5 clone wars characters:
1. Fives
2. Rex
3. Heavy
4. Echo
5. Waxer
*I think Rex might stay on top of Fives in terms of complexity when the new season comes out later this year. We'll see! ;)*
It's funny how of all the people that actually posed a threat to palatines grand plan before the purge the two who actually worried him were Padmae and 5's, they didn't need the force to interfere and nearly stop the sith grand plan
Five’s death is one of the if not the saddest scene in star wars history. Top 10 character in the universe.
Jesse didn't remove his chip. He died on the venator in season 7.

I’ve always loved fives, he was my favorite in the clone wars. Rest In Peace
You're forgetting the amazing Sixes himself
"Get lost, Sheev" -Sixes
Even better Palp's reaction was basically "Understandable have a nice day"
At 0:59 you said hevy but up a picture of hardcase up...
I Always had he’s one of my favorite clones!
What a king, dying for the right cause was one of the most respectable things he ever did.
I feel like even with the inhibitor chip in his head, Fives would still go against Order 66.
1:00 that's NOT Hevy, Hevy's got a 'shiny armor' no paint. And he NEVER wore phase II armor
Jokes on you Fives was already my favorite clone
Fives is one of my favorite characters
I only have one Star Wars shirt, an Aurebesh 5. That way, only the hardcore fans mention it. Everyone else just thinks it's a random logo.
fives's independence was way more than any other clone. He was the breaking point for rex who ultimately caused him to not do Krells bidding. Fives's independence was his tragic flaw, and I bet some people realized that his defiance was going to get him killed at some point in the show.
In my book experience
Out ranks everything
Fives was the first to discover it, and Kix went to do a further investigation himself like Rex and other clones i think.
More like "Why Every Star Wars Fan Should Worship Denal"
yea
"Which eventually convinced Rex and Jesse to investigate further-"
*Cries in season 7*
Palatine: unlimited power
Fives:*exists*
Palpatin: ooo I'm too weak
Fives dies*
Palpatine: I AM THE SENATE
A piece of me died with fives 😭💔
long live Emperor Fives!
Named my xbox account Fhvs since Fives already taken long ago
The true chosen one if you ask me, because if the odds were in his favor, Shaak Ti wouldn't be naive enough to send him to Palpatine and listen his discovery about his research with the Jedi-Council instead. Heck, he as an ARC-Trooper could've been an even more formidable opponent to Palpatine, because he even has a much less gullible mind than Anakin himself who got tricked by Sidious.
The fact that 5's was within an inch of messing up palpatines plan pisses me off so much dude
