    You can pop the "safety" valve out of the nozzle. My regular gas can has the same nozzle and it got taken care of in about a minute and a half.

    So you pull the pouring spout out of the tank that's filled with diesel. Diesel dripping everywhere, hands, cloths.
    No thanks, not for me.
    Do a video showing you taking the spout out at the side of a busy road.

    Just get Jerry cans if your budget don't allow these 40 bucks at harbor freight and they are 5 gallons also go real well with the tire carrier bumpers

    Or, in case you are not made of money, you can just continue to use a five gallon back up can and strap it in with a ratchet cord. Use the $50 dollars you save for a lap dance and a beer. An example of people inventing things no one really needs.

    Yes, the U.S. "SAFETY VALVE" sucks goat balls, just chuck it in the trash and go to the Rotopax site and buy a conventional spout, their only about $15. The new spout is well worth it. Once installed you'll be able to enjoy the feeling of true liberty!

    I tried to use one of these. once i finally figured it out i spilled fuel every where due to the complexity of use, it does not go in very far and you have to keep a lot of pressure on it and it needs to be lined up perfectly but no matter what you will spill every time you stop poring. after poring / spilling my fuel every where i almost couldn't get the cap back off and was 30 away from just leaving it on when it finally budged. I repeat it does not matter what you do you will be spilling fuel everywhere!

    the only problem with rotopax is that they are like $80 each, and 2 gallons won't do anyone much good, so at a bare minimum I would need four of them to give me a half tank of gas. so over $300 just in rotopax cans, plus another $200 in mounts, you have a very expensive system that looks really slick in the Whole Foods parking lot.

      @@punk303 No, I haven't. Every merchandise has its buyer, the quality items cost more and that's the fact. I just stated that people who test it and use in real life all say this is the best, the only sturdy, reliable, not leaking, practical mount fuel container they will always use... So $80 a piece for you and me are maybe a steep price, but those with the mods and addons to their vehicles, which exeeded the value of their cars, will and they do buy them...

    Bought myself a 'new' gas can with that nossel. It's ridiculous. It's a nightmare to use and the instructions stuck to the can are useless. I ended up taking the stupid thing off and cutting a mtn dew bottle in half to make a funnel.

    The mechanism is the same as the Wedco/B&S gas cans. It is one of the better nanny dispenser nozzles out there. Although I have had one failure already out of the five (Wedco) I own. I cut the safely collar lock that you have to turn off. IMO it is not needed even for safety. I do want to get the set and mounts for my Ranger.

      Twist lock keeps it from pressing in. And you need to butt it up against the tank inlet and press to get the gas to flow from container to tank. It's supposed to prevent spills but it's over complicated BS

    is there a vent on these to let the vapors escape?

    • @adrock84ify
      @adrock84ify 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Cutlerylover4life1 no. thats why matt was commenting on the dictator in chief. the epa thinks we are going to save the environment by having ventless gas cans. I wouldn't care but these new nozzles suck. they are a pain to use and flow about half as fast as the old school ones. that doesn't mean the cans are bad though just the nozzles.

    • @XxTWMLxX
      @XxTWMLxX 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not vented to prevent spills on ATVs it's ment to be filled then used. Emptied or left cracked open when done. Gas only expands in temp changes over time. No harm in short term

    You do realize that anti spill pressure valve helps prevent gas loss due to evaporation. It also keeps you from spilling gas down the side of your car, not to mention the anti explosion factor. I guess if you want to throw your money away, ruin your paint and set your self on fire, you can throw away the nozzle and get yourself a transmission funnel. You can take out your thermostat so you can run cooler too, while you ruin your cylinder walls. It's a common habit among children and knuckle draggers to label a piece of technology they don't understand as stupid rather than see that problem was not it but them. Second guess a perfectly good engineer, what do I care. It's a free country you're entitled to your opinion. Just realize you're making a fool of yourself in front of a lot of people.

      ScorpionRegent Your "SAFETY VALVE" has poured more gasoline down the side of vehicles than ever "exploded" (what a crock) in the old trusted type cans. By the way the cap stops the evaporation. Does it not make you wonder how the rest of the planet can manage with the standard nozzle? We use these only because some useless engineer needed to explain his "reason for being" and someone in the legal system bought it not because they were proven to do any good. If you cannot pour from one of the old cans please stay inside and do not endanger the rest of us capable people that enjoy our freedom.
