I haven't met any Indian who doesn't despise the movie, especially the Monkey brain scene. In fact an Indian friend told me the movie was shot in Sri Lanka since the production didn't get permission from the Indian Government.
Honestly I hated it too. I find it weird that people want to defend it because honestly its just a mediocre movie compared to the first and third, i mean justifiably theres stereotype in those but compared to Temple of Doom is meager. It feels similar to Octopussy in that regard and I find the comedy in the movie to be so annoying and childish, its so loud, yet nothing much happens in the story either, such childish stuff, and what stupid base jokes at the dinner scene
There are, according to mythology, 12 "Jyotir Lingas" scattered across India, and they are at Temple sites where Shiva was meant to have appeared to priests. It is said that his essence is in those Lingas. So the "made up" cinematic mythology at the end of your video about 5 stones, and that Shiva resides in them, has some roots in actual mythology.
After the movies you could also go into the lore of the artifacts from the Indiana Jones games such as: Staff of Kings, Emperor's tomb, infernal machine, Fate of Atlantis, etc. They need to be given more attention.
I would love to see you cover the holy grail. You could cover details about the grail myth and their origins. I heard one of them was that the grail was actually the cauldron of an old Irish God called the Dagda.
Would be cool after you do the maguffins, you over some of the vehicles they use, like the tank and the flying wing. The flying wing has some really interesting real world counterparts with the Horten Brothers and their aircraft designs.
One big difference between Temple of Doom and Raiders, I feel, and one reason why Doom isn't as popular, is because in Raiders they went after an artifact most audiences have some knowledge of, and you felt like you truly were discovering something that had been lost and buried for thousands of years - you felt the thrill of discovery when Indy was looking for it. With Temple of Doom and the Sankara Stones, most audiences would never have heard of them (I honestly thought until recently they were a complete invention for the film), so the sense of wonder and discovery of an ancient and powerful artifact is largely absent. So I feel, anyway.
I like videos like this. To the point, don't take 10 minutes unless they actually have the content to fill up 10 minutes. Unlike some other star wars channels....

I actually just learned about Shiva from the young Indiana Jones series on Amazon Prime in the 5th Episode last night. Kind of weird that this vid popped up today. I can't wait to see what you say about the Holy Grail!
So it's been a minute, but: According to Wikipedia, there's a Hindu legend wherein Surya, the god of the sun, appeared before a Yadava nobleman in an indistinct fiery shape. The Nobleman, named Strajita, asked the sun god to alter his appearance to a less blinding form, and the sun god obliged by removing a jewel from around his neck to extinguish the fire. Satrajita offered his adorations to Surya, and when the Sun God offered him a boon, Satrajita asked for the jewel, known as the Syamantaka. It was said that any land that possessed the Syamantaka "would never encounter any calamities such as droughts, floods, earthquakes or famines, and would always be full of prosperity and plenitude". I'm pretty sure that the Sankara Stones are an amalgam of both the Shiva Linga and the Syamantaka, seeing as A.) Surya gifted the Syamantaka to Satrajita the same way that Shiva gifted the Shiva Lingram to Sankara. B.) The Symantaka was said to make the land it inhabited plentiful, and the Village Priest told Indy that he knew the three of them were successful because life had returned to their village. C.) The Symantaka is a jewel and there are said to be diamonds housed inside the Sankara stones.

Is there any real word basis for the legend of the Three Brothers from “The Last Crusade?” I know the parts about the Arthur legend and Joseph of Aramathea came from real world lore, but was there any such inspiration for the brothers, or was that solely created for the film?
Entirely created for the film. They're inspired by the Knights Templar, but assuming the brothers searched for the Grail soon after the end of the First Crusade the Templars wouldn't have existed yet. (First Crusade ended 1099. Templars founded between 1118 and 1120).
