For all those who are confused about why Mercedes would make such an engine, let me explain our obnoxious and arbitrary car tax system in Turkey. Basically, if the car's engine is 1.6, the tax you pay when you purchase the car is +45% on top of the car's retail price. If the engine is 2.0 this tax is +90% the retail price and after 2.0 it even goes over to 145%, which is ridiculous. On top of that the gas prices are very expensive and annual tax is also done according to the engine liter size.

Alaatin61 Well I heard something like Mercedes wanted to wait with putting tech from the the new S class into the E class for a year or two after the S class was released to show that the S class is indeed their flagship car. After that time however they would use many of the tech and interior elements of the S class in the E class. That's what I heard. If that's true, that means the 2016/17 E class should be very awesome.

Very beautiful car, diesel it more expensive than gasoline this days but if you're buying this car it doesn't matter, do diesel motors last longer than gas.

Wow they make an E180 with 156HP? Sorry but that shouldnt exist, if you're gonna buy an executive car then it shouldnt have such a pathetic engine. It's as sad as a BMW 518.

Alaatin61 The smallest we get here in NZ is the E250, but personally I wouldn't spend money on a luxury automobile if it's so sluggish. You're just buying a badge by doing that.
I agree with you Fishfingers232 if you're gonna buy an expensive car the least I would expect it to do is go fast.

this is in Turkey.. and if you check the fuel prices and the yearly automobile taxes , you would be scared to death. So for Turkey market, E180, bmw 5.20i ( which is 1.6 motor) those are the keys to sell those cars in Turkey.

Eeeeewwwe. E180? No one in the US would buy that. I just picked up my 2015 E63 wagon that I have been waiting for nearly 4 months and will probably end up living in it but it is SO worth it. It's gorge.
E63 and a Wagon? I didn't know they made that.

I paid about USD 99,000 for a E200. This world is not fair.
When I was whining to the salesman about the price difference from US he said theirs have no equipment and are made in mexico.
Ummmm. That is absolutely not true. I paid $127,000 for my E63 S model wagon and it had almost every option. The base price in the US is $103,000
Google says US ones are made in Toluca, Mexico
Time to check the Vin plate.

e class amazing car today i drive the 300 series the car with the new transmutation relay lovely it have 252 hp with alot of feathers with 2 drive mode e/s with smart lunch control and power headlight.
But i have question why the the engine 350 stop product cause 350 realy to fast than 300 it have 276 hp ..

Not necessarily. There are optional packages you can add to the base model E class that will make it more expensive.

What the matter of lock and unlock the car without the key what about stealing and the thief come opening the door if lost my key -__-
Omar Elrehany The car unlocks when you standing about 1 meters from the car. You can also open the car with the key if you want and close of course.
