- A video newly released by the US Department of Defense from July 12, 2023 captures a People's Liberation Army (Chinese) fighter jet conducting a coercive and risky intercept against a lawfully operating US asset in the East China Sea. The US says the Chinese jet deployed eight flares at a distance of 900 feet from the US plane.

US would do the same if Chinese plane was flying in the Gulf of Mexico.
no, US would start engaging
@@faker3033 Educate yourself on US rules of engagement before commenting acting like you have any idea what you're talking about.
Well if you was educated you'd understand the differences between international airspace and a nations territorial airspace.
Biden would let them through.
@@raz4371 be quiet, USA wouldn't flinch to start shooting, u think they will obey the rules?? lmao narrow minded
If you have conducted over 2000 reconaissance exercises near the Chinese border so far in 2023, do you expect the Chinese to welcome with red carpet?
Its just a news channel reporting an intercept calm down buddy.
red carpet lmao

The U.S. would do the same if China flew a nuclear capable bomber near the U.S.
That’s what new paint looks like
Where was it? Oh, not US coastline, rather East China Sea. Lawful operation? What about one day, Chinese jets do the same off US coastline, and let's see what the US will act.

Looks they they were trying to cast some sort of 'shadow' with the flares
Can someone (who isn’t a troll) answer my question please?
If Chinese Fighter Jets are intercepting other countries’ aircraft over international waters, isn’t that a “hostile military act,” or maybe even an “act of war”?
Yes but China does this shit so often that we don’t engage, it’s taunting and baiting.
This has been going on for decades. Even when I was in the Marines at the end of Nam, this kind of crap was going on then. It's a form of phycological harassment. It's just more evident now with all the technology we now have to document events such as this and gets into the hands of the media. When I was deployed on Naval ships in the Pacific, Atlantic and Mediterranean, with the size of our vessel, we occasionally would have another country ship play games and cross in front of us knowing we would take evasive maneuvers to avoid the collision. Avaition was no different, especially with Russia. Remember the scene in the first Top Gun where, I believe, Maverick flew his fighter upside down above the Rissian fighter and took a picture of the Russian pilot? It was a little BS but it was close to the crap that goes on between both sides. However getting to your question on an "act of war", I tend to agree with you. We as a country take a lot of crap thrown at us and we just take it. From my days in the Marines, we were always told, "We are better than them, and they know it".

It's a hostile act!
But the Chinese only dare that with American non-combat jets!
But when did this happen

there so great that they hire western ex fighter pilots for training

What the hell US military doing around Chinese border? Let me guess, The warmonger nation trying to start another war similar to Ukraine one?

It will be nothing short of a miracle if the US manages to avoid war in 2024

Are they not using j-20??
Thats not a J20. Maybe 16
China now recruits among university graduates and undergraduates, except fighter pilots. Fighter pilots are selected after junior high schools and recruited after senior high school graduation. And then regular training and development. All new PLA are now bilingual. Comes handy to deal with POW, particularly those English speaking ones. And there is a gap between US recruits, high school drop-outs. Not to mention Chinese IQ ranks among the top tier and US only manages to 3rd tier, thanks to Asian Americans, particularly Chinese.
i guess the common anerican usage of “only smart people can join the airforce” now applies to the PLAF
@@General_MacArthur
The real smart ones can and will design and engineer to settle differences without hostility. Now, let's see if China can achieve that for the world.

*The international law* is very clear on the South China Sea:
- parts of it belong to some ASEAN countries,
- the rest of it is the international water,
- no part of it belongs to China🇨🇳 or Taiwan🇹🇼.
That's wishful thinking, not a fact based statement.
your m0ther is international
@@hanky.9476I don't see any part of it that's wrong. Taiwan and West Taiwan both claim the entire south china sea but neither of them has been able to enforce that claim and several other contries in the region have formed an agreement that essentially says the sea is jointly owned by all of them
The United States made that international laws. Countries don’t have to agree to it
