This brings back many memories. Thirty-seven years ago when I was 18, I was an exchange student there for the summer. I loved that little town and have wonderful memories of that summer. Thank you for letting me relive that time.
Thank you for this video. I lived in Aix for 6months in 2018, it was such a lovely & easy place to live - everything withinwalking distance, so charming & elegant. Friendly people too. 🇫🇷💙
Just discovered your videos. Finally, someone who actually lives in Aix ! I am planning to move there. Can you please show a bit of the "New" town ? Everyone always shows the old town [which I know so well]. But what about where most people actually live and work. The more practical everyday side of the contemporary Aix. Parks and rec areas etc.. Thanks -- and keep up the good work :)
Well the city center is really my only go to spots. As for being in nature I do have a couple other videos where I feature other places in Aix, there is Sainte Victoire where you can go on a nice hike, also Parc de la torse is lovely 😍 In my latest video I have a picnic at my favorite place in nature. Thank you for joining, you are going to love living here❤️
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
:) Profitez bien. Amicalement,
Such a nostalgia! When I went to France in 2016 I visited a friend that lives near Aix en Provence. Are you familiar with Meyrargues? It’s a small town near Aix en Provence. I’m also an American from Los Angeles, CA and I have always wanted to move to France. How difficult was it to get a residence visa?
Your camera and filming are great the colors so vivid, best I’ve seen on TH-cam! Aix en Provence looks so charming and laid back looks like a great place to live!!!! Ps I too am a victim of marketing!
Wow i don't know how your video got into my recommendations but it's well filmed! Great video. I moved to Aix 2 years ago and i love it! I'm French Canadian and you?
I’m excited to get back to France next June!! I love flea markets which are on the top of my list. I love your filming, can I ask what you use. It’s so beautiful to watch.
Thank you so much Abigail! I have yet to find a good flea market but I’m hoping to visit some. For filming this video we actually used the IPhone 12 Pro. In some of our other videos we use the Canon EOS M50 and the Fujifilm xt3. Thanks for watching❤️
I would recommend a restaurant called “coté cours” which is on the main avenue the Cours Mirabeau. Its definitely one of the more high end place you can find in the city center!
Great video, you two are a cute couple too! We are coming to visit soon, do you know if restaurants and things are open? (Because of COVID) Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for watching, I hope you enjoy your visit in Aix. Everything is open but if you want to eat at a restaurant or go to a bar you need your pass sanitaire.
Do they speak English in this city or do you need to be fluent in French? We're thinking of moving there next year and we barely speak two words of French 🤣 Also, how hard is it to find a job there?
There is a lot of people who speak some English but I would definitely recommend learning the language. I haven’t been able to find a job yet as I don’t speak French. You should join the fb group moving to Aix en Provence!
@@SamFournier thank you for replying. We have no idea where to start from. We are moving from inside the EU so no visas and such, but still, very confusing in terms of finding rent and jobs and stuff like that 😅
Thanks so much for sharing your videos. I was wondering if you would give me the phone and address for the book store you went to that also had English books. Thanks.
Thanks for watching Elizabeth! The book store is called Book in Bar and I usually put places we visit in the description of the video. Their website is in the description for you🙂

Is Paul vegetarian or vegan?
I would have to say he’s vegetarian. I can’t remember the last time he ate meat or fish. He still eats dairy though.
