Bernardo Faria is a 5x World Champion. Bernardo started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Juiz de Fora - MG, Brazil at the age of 14 in 2001. After receiving the Black Belt from his first instructor Ricardo Marques in 2008, He moved to Sao Paulo to join BJJ legend Fabio Gurgel and his Alliance team. After many years of training and winning many major titles, Bernardo moved to NYC in 2013 to train and teach at Marcelo Garcia Academy. In 2015 Bernardo achieved his dream of winning the IBJJF World Championship Open class title and his division, doing the double Gold and becoming the 1st in the IBJJF Ranking and also chosen as the best athlete of 2015.

The biggest problem in head quarters while passing, i face is, a big strong opponent holding my right ankle with his left hand, like de la riva guard. Hopefully the dvd will have a solution for it.

You can use the smash pass or reach down and pull the hand up, then go to the X pass. I've used HQ for years and it's great. The Ribeiro brothers and Rafael Lovato Jr are the masters. Hello Nick and Danny, thank you so much, I got your headquarters instructions and the dvd is amazing. But can you pls help me with something, the forth middle knee cut pass, when opponent is doing the overhead sweep, can you pls make example of how it looks in a live situation? It was demonstrated very slowly in the video and I can’t seem to get it right. This is a big hole in the passing system if I can’t do this. Pls help. Thank you, the dvd is amazing.
