Happy 40th, Howard! As I tell my life insurance clients: At 40 your check engine light starts to come on...reading glasses appear, and things you did in your 20s and 30s begin to show up... At 50, your Warranty Expires, but fortunately some replacement parts are available.... At 60, complete overhauls, rewires, replumbs, and frame off restorations may be necessary.... At 70, you are an Antique....maintenance and pride of ownership will be evident. I LOVE your videos. Your backgrounds in broadcast media are evident in the production values of your work! Thanks for the virtual vacations that Covid and aging parents have prevented us from taking this year. Perhaps next year our 31 ft Airstream can hit the road again.
Happy 40th Howard! 40 was a good age but hitting 50 a few years ago was even better!! Here's to hoping you two continue to enjoy a life of adventure another 40+!
I have gone to Glacier for 38 years and I have never heard of anyone attempting to get to the waterfalls beyond Avalanche Lake. I have gone off trail enough in the park to assume that that adventure is problematic on so many levels. Not the least being meeting a bear in the think alder with running water and boulders behind you. Congratulations on trying to do it. The additional mile of trail just takes you to the head of the lake.
Oh how cool! Yesss so you totally get why we loved it. Haha lucky! That's awesome you got a clear day for that hike. It was still beautiful, just didn't have the same wow factor at the end 😆

Newstate Nomads we were on the mainland from Mazatlan to Zihuatanejo - stops at Isla Isabela, Mantenchen Bay, Chacala, Punta de Mita, La Cruz, PV, Ipala, Chacala, Tenacatita, Melaque, Barra de Navidad, Bahia Santiago, Manzanillo & Zihua - some inland trips as far as Tequila, Tepic and I can’t remember. Lots of Baja California time by boat and car too. Tons of time in La Paz.
Thé Glacier national Park was absolutely beautiful!! The Gypsy guide is something I would use,love it!! Also Happy birthday Howard,and yes,40 is delicious!! Hahaha..Keep well and stay safe.

We had it scheduled for this year but cancelled due to half the park being closed. Hopefully next year we can visit it and the North part of Yellowstone that was closed this year as well. Happy Birthday and thanks for sharing

We visited towards the end of September, around the 17-22. It was a great time to visit (minus the smoke, which you can't really predict). Hope you're able to visit, it's truly incredible!
We do carry it, particularly in Alaska we had it on hip (or in areas with brown/grizzley). Other places we carry it in our bag/backpack. Important note if crossing into Canada: it must say BEAR on it otherwise it is considered pepper spray and subject to confiscation as a weapon. -Howard
I am hoping to hear a BIG announcement very soon that the NewMads are hooking back up with EatSeeRV in Mexico!!!! GIVE THE SUBS WHAT THEY WANT!!!! Then let us plan the route......

I did a around the country trip in a vw camper in 1973 and Glacier was the best stop. I did the avalanche trail hike, crystal clear sunny day.😁
