I hope you keep making these for a long time. P.s. I’m an avid rewatcher, I noticed on this one you edited out the sponsorship for the headphones (choosing not to name the brand.) I can only assume they’re not sending checks anymore and I really appreciate you removing those after the fact for your viewers. You do a great job. Thank you for keeping my ears busy.
I'd be down for that. As far as I can tell, it's a nerve agent...which is why destroying the brain does nothing. It's activating the nerves themselves somehow. That's why, in the original, the tainted rain caused the skin to feel like it's burning despite not being corrosive. But that's all I can piece together.
Have you ever thought of doing a breakdown of a creature from subnatica. I'd love to see you analyze the sea dragon leviathan. Or the karar bacterium. My last suggestion on TBC may not have much to work with soryy.
I kind of miss the original Nemesis. Originally, they had a Symbiote/Parasite on their back which, after the hosts head was destroyed, assumed control and mutated the host body to serve as the final boss, which is why the new brain is on the host bodies back and why it has to flip over to attack Jill. In the remake, the Nemesis itself is now a mutating, adapting horror in its own right. I guess they thought it would have been better if "Nemesis" was the actual final boss and not the thing on its back. I wonder if they could have used both of these aspects somehow. I think the cause of the change is that previously, the original run of Resident Evil(1-3) was at least semi-realistic, with creatures that seemed at least vaguely plausible with genetic engineering. But with more modern Resident Evils it's more like an over-the-top, exaggerated American comic-book action style.
Not gonna lie, my favorite version of Nemesis is the non canon Chinese Mangua, because of how badass he can be in that and the origin of who the nemesis really is.
Always very interesting to hear you explain what biological functions give creatures you talk about their abilities. Def excited for more potential resident evil vids, would love to hear your thoughts on the queen leech.
Given Umbrella's general stupidity, in surprised there's not an equally failed sister project titled A.R.R.O.W. (Ammunition for Reanimated Regenerating Organic Weaponry, or some such nonsense) for the B.O.W. Basically each Nemesis would be equipped with an organic gun that regenerated its own bullets. Idk my head gets fun/dumb ideas sometimes
Hi Roanoke, love ur videos.question:something I’ve thought about since way back when I found your channel is everything you explain just seems to fit so perfectly & it feels like you put way more thought into this than The guys who designed these creatures did lol. so my question is is there an example of a creature you were thinking of doing a video for but then you looked at it and just thought “yeah there ain’t no way in hell I’m going to be able to able to explain that”?
I don't know what's more terrifying. Nemesis still being in there or Nemesis being a sentient parasite OR Nemesis being a gestalt consciousness made of its parasites ala Geth from Mass Effect style. Personally I don't think Nemesis is sentient. The parasites have essentially wiped out who he was. Further, there's a big mechanical lump on Nemesis' chest that's actually an artificial heart. If you target that specific part of his torso, you can see electrical sparks come out of it. Neat little detail capcom used. Nemesis' back claws are kind of the way i think of my cat's back claws. They're CLEATS intended to give it better traction. So its much faster and more maneuverable when doing 3 am zoomies!
The thing that really struck me the first time I saw Nemesis was the fact that it was covered from head to toe in a full body suit that even covered it's entire face very similarly to Doomsday in most of his appearances, needless to say that connection pumped up my anxiety a bit while running from this thing.
Not going to lie, I was a little disappointed you didn't mention Lisa Trevor at all, considering her role as the original test subject (or surviving test subject) for the Nemesis Parasite. Well, technically they were trying to kill her with it, but it didn't work and became the source of some important advances in Umbrella's research. I'd love to see you do an entire video on Lisa Trevor; she has a really interesting history as a test subject being so resistant to everything Umbrella put her through, and being the source for quite a bit of the nasty stuff (viruses, parasites) in the lore.
i love your channel. been watching for so long when im out trucking and replayed the resudent evil videos quite often, so i was more than ready to click this when i saw my notification for it. your analysis’ of resident evil monsters and other fictional creatures is great because resident evil’s lore(no matter how bad the science is) allows you to make sound and educated explanations of their biology. that being said, im sure a silent hill series would be a hit and fun for you to analyze considering the monsters on there werent labgrown or genetic runaways.
im a super nerd so i sit here and listen to so much lore, it would make some peoples brain hurt, while playing other games or doing whatever it is im doing. your voice my guy top notch.
Nemesis was supposed to follow you more but capcom took out some of the mission from the original like when you turn on the power and you have to shoot those spider nemesis was supposed to appear
This reminds me of the Raptor training in "Jurassic World." The military already has something to do the job, one that's been used long enough that our very society has grown around it, and you want to replace it with something that is marginally better at best and world ending at worst.
The idea kind of reminds me of nukes. Fire bombing took out wooden cities and fried its inhabitants pretty well in Japan, but we wanted something that would be faster... so humanity went for something that had the possibility of catching the very atmosphere on fire instead of a comparatively small explosion (but still massive) And bam the atom bomb was born

Most likely no. The Terran and Protoss ships use energy based weapons that Reapers seem to not be strongly protected against. Plus, Zerg use acid based in space. I also think indoctrination may work. But, it might not be affective against Psychics and the Zerg hivemind.
@@Reyma777 But what about numbers don't the Reapers have the numerical advantage and wouldn't their armor hold strong against some of the energy attacks? From what I know the Terran and Protoss fleets are tiny only a few dozen plus they only have like one variant no complex cruisers, frigates, destroyers, or orbital defense grids. Just one battleship type and they only have like at best a hundred ships. There's no way they are going to hold against a Reaper vessel especially tens of thousands.
@@thorshammer7883 most of the Reaper vessels are reaper destroyers. The protoss factions still have many carriers, voidrays, arbriters, a few motherhips and the spear of adun. The Dominion has only 50 battlecruisers plus support craft. However, I think the zerg due to their ability rapidly produce air units would be the ones to overcome the Reapers long-term.

They are doomed the Reapers are too many and Starcraft weapons are not powerful enough.

uploaded 33 seconds ago, I've never clicked on a video so quickly before nor been this early. love all of your videos, they've gotten me interested in games i might never have thought of picking up, thats how i got into the metro series and its books. thank you!
Glad I could show you some new stuff back in the day!
Roanoke: nemesis, sadly in this form, has no feet to start with..."
Everyone: than what's the point?!?!
Capcom has retconned the lore behind the NE-α parasite which acts like a reverse engineered Plagas parasite in order to tie the RE3 remake to the upcoming RE4 remake. Also, that's a sweet Mustang
@Hattan AlShutaifi retcon
@Hattan AlShutaifi I am pretty sure Capcom changed Nemesis to reference the upcoming RE4 remake. Look up articles.
REmake 3 is awful when compared to RE Nemesis and REmake 4 will be awful when compared to the true RE 4, Capcom is doing their best to keep destroying the lore.
@@AnonymousAnonposter This
@@AnonymousAnonposter yup your right about that I give this video a thumbs down I’ll never accept this short trash butcher of nemesis as my remake it’s a F reboot at best a reboot I did not want but what ever and yes RE4 will be cut content trash as will and unfortunately I guess this plaga thing now retcon Lisa traver as the technical mother of nemesis
So with that said I leave this no wonder they didn’t have nemesis name attached to it F 🖕this game
Nemesis did seem like one of the best versions of an actual bioweapon. Sure it could only be programmed to kill like a squad of a dozen people but yanno baby steps
Good guy Roanoke taking out the ad. Feels good man. Updating a 8 month long video.
Even though I know most of this, this video was still worth the watch the quality of this is on POINT.
Glad you enjoyed it man!
Just gotta love Roanoke’s shirt. “The Cole Train runs on Whole Grain baby!” Woooo!
Out of all the ways I attempted to learn about our body’s “healing factor” and it was sprinkled in here. I love it

6:15 What a smart execution Nemesis... BY PINNING YOUR PREY AGAINST THE “AIR”.
Man, roan. Must be highly interested in nemesis feet since he said the final form was sadly missing them XD
I’ve always loved your videos man. I don’t care what people say about summaries on movies either. You do a great job and I enjoy the run downs on everything you do.
You know.. the Nemesis second form looks awfully similar to the Licker... i wonder if that's T-virus influence there.
Ah raycon. Been forcing face reveals since 1955.
Great earbuds though.
im not buying them out of spite they are everywhere
I've had a few up to this point but my face isn't usually neccessary in videos!
last time I was so early you were still talking about Dead Space
Do the Trioxin zombies from “Return of the Living Dead“ next!
Would love to hear how the chemical Trioxin might work.
So that's what the chemical is called? Also that movie scarred me as a kid cimause i watched it at 6 years old lol.
Have you ever thought of doing a breakdown of a creature from subnatica. I'd love to see you analyze the sea dragon leviathan. Or the karar bacterium.
My last suggestion on TBC may not have much to work with soryy.
Did you remove a raycon ad? You had a cutaway into it, and then said "With that out of the way", but the ad is not there. It sounds so weird
Noticed that too
Nemesis is my favorite tyrant and thanks Roanoke you did great explaining this menacing tyrant
11:31 "It's called a dew claw because when they walk through the grass, it gets wet with dew."
So... just like every single other toe?
Great video as always. The parasites of the RE world are always interesting.
thanks bro! and I agree!
Damn man, you be reaching Space Marine level swoleness soon enough.
Love it! “Roanoke...Oh Roanoke! Thou hast made a man of me!”
This channel kind of made me almost hear words " Starting with the feet " when ever i hear " Starting with " .
Roanoke those gains are sick bro! Good job!
thanks bro! push/pull days have been doing wonders, really enjoying them!
No one:
Roanoke Gaming: "O S T E O B L A S T"
Your breakdown clearly shows how much thought the developers and creators put into this games and the lore is just fantastic
You are one of the best TH-cam channels I’ve ever found.
I wish we ran into nemesis more especially seeing his tentacle body like in the original before he mutated into his second form.
Bro! You must be doing well 😂 that mustang is HAWT. I love how you used a headphone commercial to show it off.
Bro I’ve been waiting for this video for so long. Thank you!
Another good video. Nice.
Never game a damn about any attempted new 'canon' no matter the franchise.
Someone else noticed this, I'M NOT ALOOOOOOOOOOOONE!!!!
I'd be glad if you do more detailed analysis on the parasite, Roanoke. It's quite intriguing.
i absolutely loved this video. keep up the great work
I would love to see some starcraft lore
Thanks man! And if I play it I'll cover it!
@@RoanokeGaming You're welcome! Oh and it's free (just saying)
Roanoke is great, he replies to the commenters, and now seeing him show up on his channel it makes the show very quaint!
I do need to start covering silent hill but I'm happy to hear you are enjoying my videos! :)
The Nemesis mutation is just depends on what environment the Nemesis is on so that he can be protected
im a super nerd so i sit here and listen to so much lore, it would make some peoples brain hurt, while playing other games or doing whatever it is im doing. your voice my guy top notch.

Not what i was expecting for a face reveal, SWOL goals
This is interesting on how you explain the biology of these creatures. It's pretty awesome.
Nemesis Kinda Daddy tho
Nemesis was supposed to follow you more but capcom took out some of the mission from the original like when you turn on the power and you have to shoot those spider nemesis was supposed to appear
4:54 "Say hello to my litte friend!!"
I can’t believe you actually got me to buy those raycon headphones after the countless times I’ve seen these ads....
This reminds me of the Raptor training in "Jurassic World." The military already has something to do the job, one that's been used long enough that our very society has grown around it, and you want to replace it with something that is marginally better at best and world ending at worst.
The idea kind of reminds me of nukes. Fire bombing took out wooden cities and fried its inhabitants pretty well in Japan, but we wanted something that would be faster... so humanity went for something that had the possibility of catching the very atmosphere on fire instead of a comparatively small explosion (but still massive)
And bam the atom bomb was born
No one gunna talk about the sponsor he had at 0:40 but removed?
he probably lost it or something and cut it out, glad i’m not the only one who noticed
I'm a little disappointed there won't be any more dlc for RE3
But the hinting of re4 remaster, bro I'm hella there
I would never have thought to attend biology class while watching video about parasites
O boi I like being part of the notification squad
Ayyyyy thanks for being on the squad! Now as long as we arnt tracked down by a blood thirsty monster, we should be all good!
Why does his second stage head look like a doom 2016 hell knight lmao ? Great video dude, love these and weirdly your voice
Good Ending
Jill: You want STARS? I'll give you STARS!
".44 Magnum"
Nemesis: "dead" STARS.........
Jill was able to escape Raccoon City. (Classic Ending)
Pixiv/Doujin: "take note" What if she got Bad Ending?
Bad Ending: Raccoon Police Department
Nemesis: "tentacles" STARS!!!!!
Jill: NO!!!!!!
She never escape from Raccoon City............
Albert Wesker: "Watching from CCTV" Ooh......This gonna be sold like hot cake. Fufufufufufu....Hahahahahaha!!!!
As soon as this game came out I was looking forward to this video
.
Could the Reapers forces from Mass Effect 3 be able to wipe out the Starcraft universe the Protoss, Terran Dominion, and the Zerg?
Most likely no. The Terran and Protoss ships use energy based weapons that Reapers seem to not be strongly protected against. Plus, Zerg use acid based in space. I also think indoctrination may work. But, it might not be affective against Psychics
and the Zerg hivemind.
@@Reyma777
But what about numbers don't the Reapers have the numerical advantage and wouldn't their armor hold strong against some of the energy attacks?
@@Reyma777
No I don't believe they are going to win in the slightest.
We are talking about tens of thousands of Reaper ships against like what? 500 mainly consisting of Zerg vessels? The Terran Dominion and the Protoss are doomed they're weapons are not as strong as something like UNSC Mac Guns or Star Wars Expanded Universe Turbolasers. They are doomed the Reapers are too many and Starcraft weapons are not powerful enough.
@Thor's Hammer I don't think the Reaper fleet is as big as you described. In Mass Effect 3 the Reaper seems to consist of several hundred ships, mostly the smaller destroyers.
Cant deny nemesis is friggin BADASS. Love him to bits
