The teeth especially and the jaw structure they reside in for sure. I feel like it had to have something to do with head lice/flea/other head born creature that took over the human due to exposure to bioweapon
He actually did, when he pointed out that the offspring implanted in humans likely borrowed dna from their hosts to make up for their own incomplete genetic coding.
I'm almost wondering if maybe they "wear" the host after reaching maturity. Looking at the head area it appears to be a split open human skull. And on the rear of the carapace there are some fleshy masses on either side that resemble a human's lower leg. The sharp bony bits above and below could be pieces of the tibia and fibula.
@@vanconojl Right but that doesn't entirely explain THIS. Other animals that are infected naturally, instead of being engineered, don't have full on human structures. They tend to, overall, maintain their normal appearance just with some alterations. As far as I've seen none of them have grown human parts off of them. Roanoke, You actually missed a big detail, The Drain Deimos actually has 8 legs, The Final Pair of legs is folded up under the abdominal exoskeleton, and in some of the models, you can actually see them fully extended
A little background for RE newbies. The Drain Deimos first appeared in the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis back in 1999, alongside a two-headed, 3-armed, poison-spitting counterpart called the Brain Sucker - the latter was cut from this game, but inspired the parasitic implantation attack used by the 2020 Drain Deimos. According to Capcom's "Biohazard 3 Last Escape Official Guidebook", the two mutant species are fleas that were infected by the T-virus when they fed on infected hosts, with Drain Deimos coming from zombies and Brain Suckers from an unidentified source. From a meta-view, according to this same book, both species were invented to create an enemy that could "take special advantage of rooms", hence their wall-crawling. Whilst nothing officially ties them to the very similar looking and behaving Chimera from the original Resident Evil, I don't think it's a great leap to make that this roof-crawling flyman was essentially recycled by the developers to create RE3's bugmen. On a side note, the fact Drain Deimos only appear in the Electrical Substation in the 2020 RE3make rather than infesting the alleys and industrial area like in the original game might be an homage to how Brain Suckers only appeared in the "Dead Factory" area in the original game. The Drain Deimos being able to "facehug" in this game is actually inspired by the fact that, in the original RE3, there is a chance to randomly encounter "baby" versions of these two insectoid horrors, although reports are somewhat conflicted on what triggers the game to create these infants. According to the aforementioned Guidebook, even in the original RE3, both the Drain Deimos and the Brain Sucker are all-female and capable of parthenogenesis, which explains where the infant monsters come from.
That is an awesome creature. It was kind of ironic the first time I saw the film my middle school was talking about evolution and how features of Graboids were similar to ancient creatures.

One franchise I'd love to see looked at by you is actually is the aliens from the Mass Effect trilogy. Lots of cool stuff for the aliens. Like the turians and why on a high uv planet they grew an outer exoskeleton to protect softer more vulnerable skin.
I’m still upset they essentially threw this entire enemy away and devolved it into a “one and done” gimmick enemy for the remake meanwhile in the original they were an “uncommon” kind of enemy you would see occasionally throughout the story. Why go through so much effort of redesigning an enemy like that and don’t do anything with it?
At the very least, I think they should have made the downtown area of Raccoon City more non-linear, then programmed the game so that additional Drain Deimos will spawn throughout the city, once you destroy their nest in the power station.
The Drain Deimos and Brain Eaters were originally fleas, but in Outbreak File 2, there was another flea based irregular mutant, named the Mega Bite, and the queen of the colony was beyond the biggest, named the Giga Bite. Another creepy bug experiment was in Code Veronica, the infected Moths. The creature isn't what's creepy, they leave parasitic larvae on you

I would love to see a video on the herbs in the series but i feel like it would be a long one due to the many different forms they take in the series. In the older games, they are mixed together and presumed to be consumed, but then in re 4 when mixed, it like a spray and that is confirmed in re5. Then in re 6, they are squished down into pills. So they're used in many different ways over the series. Then they also have many different variations, like green (basic heal), red (no heal alone but amplifies effects of green when combined), blue (an antidote for poison), yellow (increase max health). And that doesn't include all the different versions of first aid spray, that i believe is from the herbs, like the vapor spray in most re games, and the liquid in re 7. If I'm not mistaken the herbs are described being native to the arkley mountains so I'm not sure how they end up in spain or africa lol

I'd love to hear somebody with your background break it down and maybe figure out what bugs went into the mix.

IT WAS ALL A RUSE!
IT'S JUST ROANOKE STICKBUG'D US! RUN AWAY!!!
Appreciate the halo ce flood music at around 5:20. I could see the drain deimos looking kind of like a flood form. :]

Jill should have been dead by now.
By far the best thing about this remake is your lore and morphology videos about it
Of course you chose what you chose for the Thumbnail, are you asking to get demontized?🤣
Most times I dont even have to ask!
@@RoanokeGaming but still xD
@@RoanokeGaming "Fine, I'll do it myself."
I really love these videos of yours, especially these Resident Evil focused ones. Would you ever be willing to take a stab at doing one for the Plague Crawler? This was a unique B.O.W from Resident Evil 0 and the rail-shooters "Umbrella Chronicles" and "The Darkside Chronicles" whose backstory is that it was an experiment in the gene-fusing properties of the Progenitor Virus and the T-Virus, created by hybridizing several species of insects together into a single new species. I'd love to hear somebody with your background break it down and maybe figure out what bugs went into the mix.
I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going 😏
A video on the herbs would be interesting. Especially if you cover all the types.
Seeing your videos always puts a smile on my face
Keep up the good work man
My brain can't handle the fact that Roanoke just said he doesn't like creatures with "all the legs"
wat.
YO a video about the herbs would be pretty cool to see!
'As Raccoon City became an absolute cluster of fuck...'
Every fiber of my being just knew that's how you were going to finish that sentence. When you didn't, I was momentarily devastated lol
When I saw "Deimos", my immediate first thought was Warframe lol. Roanoke please cover creatures from Warframe in the future, i've been following your channel for years and I love your content. It would be awesome to see you cover one of my favorite games. I think the technocyte Virus could use some attention :]. Love your channel and will continue to follow your channel.
Or maybe the degrading genetics of the Grineer. Maybe the bio-mechanical mysteries of the Sentients? Or the shambling, gurgling abominations that make up the infested.
Thank you Roanoke!
My pleasure!
Wow i was just watching an re outbreak video and the giant bugs on the Subway. This is perfect timing
I like the design of the drain deimos in the remake! I would have liked more of them to appear in the game
I can’t watch this that squeaking un Roanoke’s bg is driving me up a wall!
aMAZING VIDEO rOANOKE!
Are you gonna cover more SCP`s?
I love your videos covering all the scientific aspects of shit like this bro. Its really awesome and while not ever any information I'll need it still does teach you actual human biology and about stuff that goes on within the body. Its pretty cool and informative.
Bringing another banger. Amazing work man.
Loved this! And yes, please do a video about the herbs!!!
I'm surprised how you only noticed 6 legs while having multiple previews of the 3D model clearly having 8 legs.
I have issues counting
@@RoanokeGaming , whoahly crap!!! I honestly wasn't expecting for you to see my comment. Big fan!!! My apologies if my initial comment sounded a bit like me just being an asshat. Love your videos! Been podcasting them while I work!!! Keep 'em coming, man! Hoping you can do some for XENOMORPHS and their complicated... often times confusing biological history.
I am
ALL
for the herb video
also great work!
I'm excited to see the video about the herbs, this is the one thing that intrigued me more than the virus
I hate anything that involves bugs and what not growing inside you. Great video tho!
Tackling either some more SCPs or spooky cryptids/mythical creatures sometime soon for the Halloween season would be awesome to see.
The stickbug's movement matched almost perfectly with the atmospheric music... poetry.
This man is like the Game Theory of Resident Evil but more present information less theory
Already looking forward to that video explaining the herbs :D
*Hears the faint but slowly growing flood music*
Me: NO! NO! NOT AGAIN!
