Excellent video and demonstration. I need to change my oil pan gasket and was reluctant to do it, your video boosted my confidence. Saving $460 by doing it myself, many thanks!

I always just throw in the whole 5 quart and put the old oil in that new jug and give that to my auto part store they dispose of it but5 quarts is almost always perfect for me never overfilled it once thanks for showing me the jack points I always used ramps. nice content!

Ramps with jack stands under the pinch welds is the safest, fastest way to do an oil change. Never get under a car when just using a floor jack - never.

Emergency brake and block the tires!

Hi, can you make a video on how to change brake pads and rotors, especially rear, on 2017 camry?
    Thank you

Its my understanding that the oil must be @ the second hole not over or much under close as possible to the hole.

Can you use the frame rails to jack up the car or for jack stands? Some people have said you could since it is a thick piece of metal. I have a 2014 Camry SE Sport

The front frame rails are totally fine. Not the rear tho.

Thanks! Interesting how difficult it is to find reliable information on something as basic as the correct point of contact for a floor jack. I suppose if I were willing to pony up some $$$ I could use Toyota Tech Services and find it? I think they really don't want people working on their own cars anymore...

Those points are in the manual

@@leoxo4685 yes the jack points (front and rear) and pinch weld locations are in the manual. but they should also include other safe locations to place jack stands, especially when you are just raising one corner

The reason the oil filter cap and it's drainbolt come off together when you try to remove the drainbolt is usually because they weren't installed at the proper torque specs. If you want to drain the filter try using your oil filter cap wrench to tighten the oil filter cap a bit more, then try removing the drainbolt again.
    Oil filter cap = 25 N•m (18 ft.lbs.)
    Oil filter cap drainbolt = 12.5 N•m (9 ft.lbs.)

Interesting and thanks for leaving the comment. I've seen the torque spec but never thought it would make a difference. ill try it out next time i change my oil.

I made that same mistake myself and learned my lesson. Now I use a torque wrench and tighten the drainbolt half as tight as the oil filter housing cap.

@@njsongwriter Good advice - always follow factory torque specs.

I think it would be better to replace the oil filter first because oil from filter and old filter can be put into drain pan without big mess then dispose filter. Then drain the oil. I'm changing to this procedure to make things easier.

Whats the tallest tire you can size up for 2017 camry? 205/70/r16 or 205/75/r16?
