Video mark 6:23 - You did NOT apply fresh motor oil to the new o-ring before installing the housing. This is a crucial step. Installing the cap with a DRY o-ring, creates the potential of tearing the DRY rubber o-ring!

It would be a good idea to also oil the large o-ring, prior to installing the housing.
I never pull that drain plug off the oil filter housing. I think it makes even more mess and Toyota Mechs don't pull 'em either.
