I got kicked out of a bar in Airlie Beach for being a happy drunk in 1999. Exactly the same conversation with the bouncer - " Of course, I am pissed I've spent $50 in your bar, that's why I came!".

I moved back in September to Brisbane! It’s a fun a place and super sunny however be warned it takes a bit to get acclimated to a new country. Even me coming from California, it was still tough to get used to everything but now that I pushed through the tough months it’s been great and I don’t want to leave! Your previous video made me go to Australia, unfortunately it didn’t work out and I’ve been back in the UK kicking myself and regretting going. But I am glad I went, because that what if would have haunted me for the rest of my life.
EDIT: To clarify to anyone thinking of going to Australia as a backpacker, I would do a lot of research as it is not the haven it once was. I’ve met people who were in Australia during the pandemic and there was a huge demand for workers. These people made this lifestyle look irresistible, and after covid tonnes of backpackers flocked to aus and the result is hundreds of thousands of backpackers competing for the same jobs, same apartments and the same lifestyle. And unfortunately the jobs and apartment supply hasn’t grown since the pandemic, the demand far outweighs the supply at present. Hopefully this will change but social media keeps on pushing Australia as paradise, unfortunately this wasn’t the case for me.

One of the main reasons the luxury car tax exists is because foreign brands were competing with the local manufacturers, Holden and Ford. This was to turn people off from buying foreign so they bought the local performance vehicles instead. However, neither of those two car manufacturers actually build cars in Australia anymore since discontinuing the Commodore and Falcon. Now the tax solely exists to make you pay someone's salary.

Hope you've done research, some things similar (some better, some worse), some different; you'll be coming in spring, so should be pretty good; just remember it's not the U.K; If you don't come across as arrogant Cvnt, you will do well (Yes there are some Aussies that have a chip on their should and are cvnts, some of it comes from the way we were treated or spoken to as peasant or all were convicts), depending on the Aussie.
Crapping on our beer might not be the best idea (''i don't mind that, but i prefer - insert U.K beer), VB (Victoria Bitter) is rough, it takes me a few to get used to it again, but weirdly i end up lovin it, you might not ;D
Probably the nicest mild modern beer for you would be Great Northern, though i can't say, i've never had a beer from the U.K; I really like Stella Artois and Sapporo draught (similar to our old beers that are gone now), are they considered crap in the U.K? (i know they are British beers).

The sun burn thing is very true, you almost feel shamed when you get sunburnt. In the early 2000’s there was a lot of advertisements and campaigns about skin cancer because the generation before (my parents) got wrecked by the sun and are littered with melanoma and skin cancers so there was a bit cultural shift around it. No hat no play was also definitely a thing when I was in school.
Anyway, all ironic now because I now live in London and am more tanned than when I grew up in Aus!

The Luxury Car Tax threshold on EVs is a bit higher and they are also way cheaper in Australia than the UK. A BYD Seal AWD performance variant, which is an excellent "luxury" car, retails for about 35K pounds which is well below the LCT threshold.

The younger and middle-aged Police here are on a power trip or have a chip on their shoulders. The older police were more flexible and nicer. I don't get pulled over much but when I do the Copper is a total arse hole and then tries to intimidate or bully me too. Then tries to teach me about the law, when I told him that it wasn't correct and told him what the law states it threw him off. Even when they fined me, when I know I am right, I elect to go to court. To this day I had 4 charges/fines removed because I was falsely accused. About three times the police officer had an egg on his face. Love it. However, I won't push my luck any more, getting too old to bother.
