As a local, annoyingly everything is orientated for and toward the university. Travel for Students is easy and there is an abundance for it. The events on Wind St during term time, are also orientated toward you and even though Swansea has many major failings, the night life is one of the best. The city itself is well, non existent these days, it's pretty basic. If you drive though, Gower is a must, also buses to Mumbles (overrated) are easy enough, or you can easily walk. The University from what I know is a good uni (I attended elsewhere, having lived In Swansea, I wasn't staying :p). It's a decent uni city, but the univeristy itself is better, it is consistently high in Uni rankings and has major funding and investment.
travel is not easy. there are no nearby train stations, the buses dont stick to timetable and are too infrequent and the places the buses stop are arbitrary.
I want to know about the students from swansea getting employed in uk. Can anyone help me out?

oi oi I'm a swansea at the bay campus doing engineering, trust me bay has good stuff and is a sick uni. also the nights out are the maddest aha, distance doesn't really play that much of a big issue as I'm from near Brighton and it's not bothered me. I was doing my alevels last year and looked around and they've built way more,the uni is improving and has a hella lot of funding

I've just transferred elsewhere from Swansea uni after two years of study, I was a student ambassador too - those guys that show you round on open days. Student support is abysmal, it looks fancy, but don't expect any help if you really need it. I didn't study economics but please bear that in mind

Studied engineering, finishing in 2011 before the new campus was built. It was a very old and ugly looking campus when i was there. Everything just seemed a bit crap to be honest. Main campus is right on the beach but that doesn't matter as it rained for most of my time there. Nightlife was good but the city and surrounding area is an absolute dump. In all honesty i wont be disappointed if i never go back.

Student Vlogs - Dylan not bad not bad!! ive already applied & have got one offer already from Bristol. I'd recommend Royal Holloway for econ even though I didn't apply there cause it used to be Russell group and its super highly respected, the offers are higher than the others I think but sometimes they let u in if you miss a grade or two like my friend did

Great place to live if you don't mind drug dealers around each corner and many many chavs, not to mention my local shop was robbed twice in 2 years by guns, nice place to live if you enjoy the sound of police sirens.... Ah almost forgot, if you like the stench of weed come to this great city!
