The only thing that is free in this world is the air. I assume that you are a tax payer, do you pay hypothecated taxes towards specific causes such as police, fire departments or the military? I think that your taxes goes in to a general fund. In the uk we have something similar which is called national insurance that mostly goes towards health and social security. @@barefootvibes8896 But there lies the problem. The reason health care is so expensive is BECAUSE of all the insurance companies. Get rid of the insurance companies and all the regulations, make health care a free market system and you will see the price fall very quickly. And with the tax money saved I'll be able to pay for the doctor myself. Win-win. Health care is a commodity just like everything else, it's not exempt from the law of supply and demand just because it's a vital service. Why do people subscribe free market health care as somehow "evil"? Yes, the USA health care system is broken, but the problem is that it's not capitalistic ENOUGH. When companies compete for businsess, it always results in better products for lower cost. Health care is like any other product or service in this world - you always get what you pay for. Just because it's a vital part of living does not make it exempt from the laws of supply and demand or market forces. Trying to make it exempt is what causes all the trouble in the first place. For those TRULY indigent who can't afford it we have subsidies for low-cost or free insurance. But to say that people die on the streets for lack of health care is total rubbish, rumors spread by the socialists who want us to be completely dependent on government for everything. I'll keep my tax money and pay for it myself, thank you very much.

The taxes are included in the price but they're still there. And as if it wasn't expensive enough, you can't even afford to drive there with the insane price of gasoline. The current price of petrol converted to US is almost EIGHT dollars per gallon. When the price went over FIVE in 2021 it was considered a crisis.
The main difference is the amount British people moan about living in the UK. They seriously don't have a clue how lucky they really are in every respect that I can think of. IMO the British have the best of all worlds. All the advantages and none of the disadvantages. Even the pointless complaining about tiny matters one can get used to. I have traveled all over this planet and I would not wish to live anywhere else. All very interesting, and I always appreciate the adventure but when I arrive home at the airport it is like coming home to paradise on Earth. Even if it is cold and raining at the time, this is often better than when the sun is shining. You take a breath of that cool British air and your energy levels immediately increase. Back to relative civilization again, it is hard to beat that feeling of relief. Some places are more civilized than others but America seems like living in a dog-eat-dog dystopian Hollywood movie in comparison, where everyone seems to be playing a part. When you get even slightly behind the facade of all countries outside of Western Europe you find that everything is so corrupt that your head starts to spin trying to work out how an honest person even survives in these places. Honest seems synonymous with stupid or extremely poor, friendless, and stupid.
An extra pro is we can stand up to our rights in this country compared to some European countries. A con is that rail fares are to expensive compared to some European countries.
I live seventeen years here and nobody ever gave me the impression that she is looking to have a romantic relationship with me .I am not handsome handsome but I am relatively good looking .A few years back , when I lived in Bristol, it was that Indian friend of mine who started to make jokes with me and every time he saw me on the street he actually asked me If I want to meet with a single mum . It's much easier I suppose If somebody comes with his family here from day one, otherwise you must be OK with the fact that you are going to live alone for the rest of your life until you are going to die alone . 🙂 For the rest of the facts this video mention I agree ( yes ..NHS is free , bit obviously the system expects that you come in England to work , to pay taxes and to contribute in the society, that was after all the reason for Brexit ..no matter the catastrophic result for the economy ).

Your description of health care with thr NHS is laughable. I follow many broadcasts in the UK and one common complaint is ghe NHS. Very long sait times for doctors appointments, constant doctors srtkes etc.
What's the latest on the maternity care crisis in the UK? Is it true that non white doctors in the UK are more likely to be disciplined than white British doctors? What was the North Staffordshire health trust scandal all about ? How much is it costing the taxpayer every year for negligence costs? What's the latest about desperate people waiting in agony for ambulances to arrive, are they still having to wait long periods before their ambulance arrives? How long are patients being kept waiting in agony in overcrowded emergency departments waiting to see a nurse?
Any remote chance that I may have ever wanted to go there was ruined when COVID happened. Any country that would try to forbid people to leave their homes (I don't give a flip what the reason is) or have people arrested for "hurtful" speech is fascism waiting to happen.
Cons : always overcast , 6 months of cold weather, houses are tiny and expensive, the people, most people are pretty miserable and not very outgoing, footballs the only sport that really matters , cost of living is high, alcohol is expensive, eating out is expensive, the country lacks culture due to high amounts of immigration, everyone’s their own person which is good but leaves you feeling like you can’t relate to anyone which makes it really hard to find friends , the food quality is pretty bad, binge drinking , chavs , young people are really disrespectful here especially in low income areas where there’s a lot of property , the government in general, mismanagement, high taxes, everyone hates each other , people up north hate Londoners , Londoners hate people up north ect. The middle class is dying, I could go on but what’s the point 🤣🤣🤣

Same as no.5 childcare and maternity very poor for the working class if you work you have to decide to give up your career or break your back to pay for childcare that leaves you with nothing anyways or just decide having children is impossible to afford 7. Lots of homeless people 8.Loads of families relying on food banks because the cost of living in the uk is so high 9. 9-5 jobs not cutting it unless your on Only Fans or some sort of media platform So yes right now the Uk isn’t the best place to live and so many people are emigrating 🤷🏼♀️

There was a fleeting time when I may have toyed with the idea of moving to the "mother land." However post-COVID I cannot imagine doing it. I'm sure the people of the UK are very nice (maybe too nice) and would make great neighbors. But any country that would forbid people to leave their houses, have lax immigration policies to increase crime, yet not allow guns to protect ourselves, yet WOULD arrest people for subjectively hurting the feelings of others (and this is under a "conservative" government about to get wiped out, I shudder to think of the dystopia that Labour will bring) is in my mind, not worth any possible benefit that might come from it. Grass is always greener and all that. THe cons didn't mention cost of fuel. Let me put things in perspective. As I type this, the average gas (petrol) price in the UK is about1.50 pound/L. This is equivalent to $7.83 per gallon. When the price went above $5.00 in 2021 it was pitchfork in the streets time.
The UK is no longer the country it once was, it has been in terminal decline and the lack of competent statesmen it will continue to decline, with high inflation, unaffordable housing, crumpling infrastructure, poor education, underfunded health services, social services on their knees and declining manufacturing industry, financial services and little investment, other than that the country is good.
"Free" health care. Yeah if you wanna pay huge taxes for it and wait a month for a doctors appointment. It never ceases to amaze me how people think there's this utopia where people can get top-notch health care for next to nothing and always have it available when they need it. Nothing is free there's a cost for everything. Health care is just like any other commodity, you DO get what you pay for. Health care in any part of the world is exactly worth what you pay for it. And this thing about people dying for lack of health care in the US is so false. Hospitals are required by law to treat anyone who walks through the door no matter how rich or poor. I went through a period of destitution and I was able to temporarily get free insurance. The notion that people are dying in the streets because we don't have "free" health care is a myth! It does not happen, it never has.
Taxes are less than the US and it has its problems but it is still quite good and the wait times are long but at least you get the opportunity to get healthcare
The UK lags behind the rest of Europe in terms of Hospital beds per head of population Number of doctors per head of population Number of scanners per head of population Lack of credible transport infrastructure Longest waiting list for routine operations Lowest pay for professional people Highest transport fares and unreliable railway service Highest levels of air pollution Highest levels of waterways pollution The most nature depleted country High levels of mistrust for the police Rising crime levels Longest commuting times Highest obesity rates in the world after the USA Sewage system in tatters Rising levels of motor vehicle ownership because the railways are expensive and totally unreliable Rip off rent Rip off food prices Lowest number of power stations Still using coal to power the Grid, contributing to enormous levels of air pollution Lack of dental care And it's getting worse, day by day.
@missna5675 good luck. I don't recommend anyone to emigrate to the UK. They need to sort out their health care. They need to build more and more roads. They need to build more and more houses. They need to build more and more railways. They need to come up to being a developed country. Just compare the UK with France or The Netherlands. The UK looks like a third world. These people should know that health care is very important yet the UK can't guarantee that they can offer any treatment on time, which means life or death.

YOU are entitled to love diversity in a world you used to recognize as, culturally, your own, but that's your personal addiction and as for me, I enjoy others, too. That's why I go and visit the other cultures in THEIR lands. Then I come home to revel in my own. This is not bigoted, it is normal. Ducks fly with ducks. Get used to the idea and if you don't like that, why not move to where you can celebrate this other culture? If you prefer hodgepodges, then perhaps you should build a new Tower of Babel, but we know how that is going to work out. We see it now in those multi cultural societies that can't agree on where to dump the poo. No thank you. You can live in a cacophony of sound and fury, muddled and signifying nothing (except decline) but as for me, when I want to celebrate diversity I visit another culture and I prefer to do it on a plane, not next door. Hate me but I don't care. I'm right. And as to the NHS, if you like care whose quality is reminiscent of Medicaid, circa 1965, enjoy it. However, what all those who live in the UK, which I visit frequently, have imparted to me is that IF you ALSO have "private pay" insurance, you go to the head of the line in the UK but if all you have is the NHS, then you WILL wait and you MIGHT die waiting. The wonderful health care saga is BS. The prices are high, the flats are smaller than NYC, the food, (were it NOT for diversity THERE, I admit) is robustly DULL and yes, the people are standoffish and rather humorless. That might be because the nation is slowly dissolving before our eyes, and that too, is a fact, Jack. Their much vaunted transport system, like all that "great" train oriented Euro world of choo choos, runs at a major deficit. So if you want to live in a world where you can't understand or reason with your neighbor, who is unfriendly, and where you want to pay double for what you can buy here, and live in a shoe box sized hole for too much money, if you want to live like that, you go right ahead. I'll visit, then escape.

As bad as the country has gotten I still like living here granted there are a lot of countries which are better to live in and there are definitely better countries to visit it’s a shame about our government
Customer service here in the UK is the worst in the world. I’ve lived in 5 different countries before but only in the UK that you will be drop from a customer service call and when you call again, everything goes back to zero.
Give an example? If you claim the service is the worst in the world can you give us a specific example of this bad service?

Wish me luck 🍀
I wish you the best of luck! I want to move to England in a few years.
You will need more than luck to live in the UK 😂😂😂
There's no shortage of fools
I'll be there too 🤠 I'm so excited to meet new people, make friends and share with them who I am, also learn about them!!!! So many things that I may do with friends from different culture 💪🥹
I love the VAT on things you buy in store. That the price you pay for at the cashier no added taxes like in the US!
Con no 6 is actually a blessing for me as I am a heart failure patient! :D
An extra pro is we can stand up to our rights in this country compared to some European countries. A con is that rail fares are to expensive compared to some European countries.
Oh yeah! Look what standing up to Europe has got you - after Brexit the UK has never been in such a mess since WWII.
For the rest of the facts this video mention I agree ( yes ..NHS is free , bit obviously the system expects that you come in England to work , to pay taxes and to contribute in the society, that was after all the reason for Brexit ..no matter the catastrophic result for the economy ).
Am trying to imagine you being single for all those years and am thinking you must either be choosy or you must have a face that scares people away.Sorry about that
healthcare isn't free, it comes off our salary every month like a tax
I’m in Africa let’s exchange positions for 1 year and you would never complain
They take it from our checks too… and then we still have to pay a deductible and a office visit fee as well and its not always good doctors😩
That was the impression I got from the way they narrated it too but if compared to the USA it sounds free lol
Shocker. Don't tell that to the college-student doughnuts here in the U.S. They barely pay any tax anyway, they have no skin in the game. They think money grows on trees and we can just have this utopia where everything is free and there are never any downsides.
There is a lot of anti immigrant tension in the UK at this time focused mainly on Muslims, don't know if that would influence anyones decision but the situation has been getting worse lately.
Good review of pros and cons 👍
Note. Professional workers are emigrating abroad in huge numbers
Very bad salaries…. Its actually an abomination the kinda salaries offered on the Uk

The British Police are fabulous powerful and the best in the world !!!

Aside from the crappy weather that leads to a very boring lifestyle and a very expensive cost of living, England has got the most ridiculous tax that I have known which is the TV license that cost 150+ POUNDS a year!!😂😅
Thank u, AI for the video
I'm an international student from China and i just came here in UK, can you help me with British pronunciation?
The weather is unbearable in the UK omg its always windy and freezingggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are having a very bad year. No blizzards though.
I mean atleast we dont have hurricanes and floods every few months
Your description of health care with thr NHS is laughable. I follow many broadcasts in the UK and one common complaint is ghe NHS. Very long sait times for doctors appointments, constant doctors srtkes etc.
Pros: None
Cons: Absolutely everything
What's the latest on the maternity care crisis in the UK?
Is it true that non white doctors in the UK are more likely to be disciplined than white British doctors?
What was the North Staffordshire health trust scandal all about ?
How much is it costing the taxpayer every year for negligence costs?
What's the latest about desperate people waiting in agony for ambulances to arrive, are they still having to wait long periods before their ambulance arrives?
How long are patients being kept waiting in agony in overcrowded emergency departments waiting to see a nurse?
The Pros, NONE! The Cons, VAT, Taxes, more Taxes and Taxes on your Taxes! ☹️
Leave in UK if you always complaining about taxes..
Come Latinoamérica ahahahah 😅
Any remote chance that I may have ever wanted to go there was ruined when COVID happened. Any country that would try to forbid people to leave their homes (I don't give a flip what the reason is) or have people arrested for "hurtful" speech is fascism waiting to happen.
Where did the old London smog go?
Good video 👍
I can think of a lot more cons (and yes, I'm British)!
Thank you alot to keep in mind
Tums up ⬆️ to England 🏴
The middle class is dying, I could go on but what’s the point 🤣🤣🤣
i would nip to dignitas if i were you, it sounds like just your type of place!
Houses in Hong Kong are much more expensive. More crowded, longer queue.
But is there anything you didn't like about the country ?

So you think education is good in the UK, do you? Compare to which other comparable country for example.
This is what I expected 🤔 if I had family there and was childless I would consider it though it mostly seems nice
Are british doctors skillful?i have heard bad things about them specially when compared to third world countries doctors which illnesses are much more common and doctors are more experienced as a result
You can search for this online, the UK has some the best doctors in the world!

I heard from news reports that racism is also rife.
Hate to break it but …
1. We get taxed for everything including NHS so thats not free
2. Can never get correctly diagnosed by said NHS also prescribed incorrect medication so you will pay through the roof for private care also prescriptions are £9+ per item
3. No dentist NHS or Private meaning suffering or going out of uk for dental care.(if you can afford to)
4. Crime it’s everywhere here not to mention stabbings and all sorts if its not tied down except things to magically disappear
5. No help for people that work and don’t live on benefits
6. Same as no.5 childcare and maternity very poor for the working class if you work you have to decide to give up your career or break your back to pay for childcare that leaves you with nothing anyways or just decide having children is impossible to afford
7. Lots of homeless people
8.Loads of families relying on food banks because the cost of living in the uk is so high
9. 9-5 jobs not cutting it unless your on Only Fans or some sort of media platform
So yes right now the Uk isn’t the best place to live and so many people are emigrating 🤷🏼♀️

Bro allá qué tan indiferentes son las personas?
It’s not a better place to live than Spain but def better than our frog friends from across the pond 🐸
Low crime rates 🤣🤣 Sure mate. If you live in a car when outside of your house

So....not enough salt in the food is a con?!!! You're a grown up, if you want more salt, add it yourself!
half of those negative things about the UK is better than in the US. I believe you are a bit biased and unfair there.
Taxes are less than the US and it has its problems but it is still quite good and the wait times are long but at least you get the opportunity to get healthcare

healthcare in the UK is not free you are taxed for it.
The UK lags behind the rest of Europe in terms of
Hospital beds per head of population
Number of doctors per head of population
Number of scanners per head of population
Lack of credible transport infrastructure
Longest waiting list for routine operations
Lowest pay for professional people
Highest transport fares and unreliable railway service
Highest levels of air pollution
Highest levels of waterways pollution
The most nature depleted country
High levels of mistrust for the police
Rising crime levels
Longest commuting times
Highest obesity rates in the world after the USA
Sewage system in tatters
Rising levels of motor vehicle ownership because the railways are expensive and totally unreliable
Rip off rent
Rip off food prices
Lowest number of power stations
Still using coal to power the Grid, contributing to enormous levels of air pollution
Lack of dental care
And it's getting worse, day by day.
The NHS is actually bad, as a scandi i was shocked for a european country how bad the NHS is
@missna5675 if you have a medical emergency, then fear for your life. There's no guarantee that you will be treated on time.
@@roops2939 thats horrible… i have to move to uk for now but hopefully i Will move back to Sweden when i wanna start a family.
@@roops2939 i dont want to migrate, it Will be for a short while…. Healthcare is one of the biggest reasons i cant see myself in the uk forever especially for the amount of tax one pays. Low crime rates? Wtf is he smoking
Been considering my options to leave the states if our right wing pipeline keeps pumping out fascists and keeps stripping away rights.
You forgot to mention the useless transport infrastructure. Joke horse and cart routes and unreliable and expensive public transport fares.
