    Hi Hannah, I've been really struggling with this while trying to go through a pattern. The section of the pattern I'm having trouble with is ....k2tog, yfwd, yrn, yon.... There's 2 things I'm trying to understand.. 1. How do I know whether to knit or purl these stitches? 2. Yrn and yon seem really similar so what's the difference? I know these might seem like silly questions but I absolutley cannot wrap my head around it and any help would be very much appreciated ☺️

      It does look confusing. I wonder how big the holes are in the pattern photos for this part of the pattern. It might mean to just wrap the yarn round the needle a couple of times in between stitches, so you have a longer gap or lacey hole between rows.
      Does it even show the multiple abbreviations, so that you use one instead of all of them, to help people if they use one method or the other? Definitely look at any notes that came with the pattern, and if it's a regularly knitted item look on Ravelry for any comments that might help.
      Happy knitting 🧶

    Hi Hannah, will you reply to questions posted on old videos?

      Hi, yes I do. I just need a few days to give me a longer chunk of time to go through them, as I'm getting more as the months go by. I'm setting aside time and should get to your previous question by Thursday. Beginner Knitters 101 is a good place to start. Happy knitting!

    Hi Hannah, sadly the Jargon Translator doesn't appear to be available via any of the links here. Is it somewhere else please?

    Does it matter if the yarn goes under or over the needle?

    • @KnitWithHannah
      @KnitWithHannah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Nola, it doesn't matter a lot, but will be easier to knit into the loop as you come across it on the next row as it'll be like all the other loops. 🧶
