the price is amazing and the fact that they have different colors is amazing I wish the podmec usb was this price too

Agreed! Love when there are options for devices that match the aesthetic and mood of the creator!

I wish that the colors they offered weren't sad easter egg pastels. Gack.

That pop filter needs to be about a fist distance away (roughly 5 to 6 inches) from the mic to be effective, for the plosives to scatter through the pop filter into the ether.

Nice and clear and so articulate, for that price it's a steal!!

Combined with the analogObssession Relive VST and lighthost, The NT-1 easily takes on properties of the SM7B with better high mids and treb.

Ooo. Would definitely like a future video on this mic and how it does for things like streaming. I'm always torn because my voice sounds better on condensers but I feel I need a dynamic to limit background noise especially keyboard/mouse clicks. I can never seem to completely suppress keyboard noise. Also love this mic in pink & purple, they're so pretty.
Ty for the detailed sound test it does sound great!

I’ll be doing an update video in a couple of weeks, but I genuinely have enjoyed using it on a regular basis. I, like you, prefer dynamic mics to limit noise, but condenser mics sound great on my voice.

I just ordered a RODE NT-1 Signature Series, and so far I love the sound.
But when I first received the mic I noticed the diaphragm inside the grill of the mic is tilted slightly backwards, so that if you look at the mic from the side, the diaphragm is not perfectly straight in line with the mic body. Could you please confirm whether or not this is the case with your RODE NT-1 Signature Series?

Just out of curiosity, did you do the whole month of using the NT1 and what was your overall impression on how it picked up background noise and general audio quality while using it?

i'm a streamer but using the sm7db it has a ton of white noise hiss thats offensive, and it turns out i like the room noise that sounds "normal" to me thats captured on the nt usb, i wanna replace my sm7db with a nt1 purple signature, woulld you recommend that for streaming?

It’s an XLR only mic, so it can support 32 but as long as the hardware you use supports 32 bit recording

    hey,
was watching your vids for a bit now and am wondering. How is NT1 treating you so far after some use in setup? I want to go for it as it's best sounding mic for me and want to go for it but am a bit worried about the sound catching of everything within whole house and neighbors.
    awesome content as usual :D

Hey! Thank you for the kind words and support! I’m still using it and have loved it. It’s very clear, low noise floor, and responds well to EQ adjustments. I’ve boxed my SM7B up and don’t plan to pull it back out for a couple more weeks. I’ll do an updated video then, but I really feel this will be my main mic

  • @Nofamilly

To be honest for music - vocal and guitar I don’t understand why sm7b is good, cuz anyway u need making acoustic room even with sm7b, u can check by yourself difference even with sm7b with acoustic room and nt1 signature looks like sounds better with vocal and guitar, so I choosed nt1 and waiting and wanna make acoustic room at home. I think sm7b is overpriced, it gives u worst sounds quality than nt1, but yeah it’s good for podcasts cuz of isolation sounds but it’s 300-400$ + cloudliftee for 100$, 500$ > 175$. Paying almost 5x times more for getting worse sound quality
