I like this concept. Usually when the Z-Fighters lose in what-ifs, that's that. They stay dead. This has a redemption arc, and a great build-up too. I would PAY for this if it were animated.

Gohan building his confidence back up to get SSJ3, and defeat Super Perfect Cell. It's a nice little come back story for Gohan here. I wouldn't be surprise if Gohan kept up with his studies while in the Other World. For the SSJG God Ritual (If Goten and Trunks are still in it.) there's Tarble or Broly they can use with Gohan becoming the SSJG here. Hoping to see a new part this what if soon.

Goten and Trunks would be more motivated than ever to train, and would train together. Considering their potential and how easily they got SSJ1 as kids, they could definitely become strong enough to take on Cell.
I feel like both Gohan and Cell in this scenario would be far stronger than Buu. Also, if Cell has anywhere comparable potential to Frieza, then training for a year would make him untouchable to the Z-fighters.
Can’t wait for the next episode, but honestly everyone should come back since goku revived them with the dragon balls, though it’s unlikely that gohan will have the same attraction to videl since she would be 7years younger than him
They can always wish tarble to come. And knowing chi-chi she would want gohan to continue his original goal and send him to school where even if he didn't meet videl (which I still think he would due to the fact hercule died, and they may make satan city out of respect for him and seeing her father die would give her a ton of motivation to be stronger) he would meet the other possible love interest. I don't remember her name though. Regardless, I still see him having a child.

Gohan's confidence has really evolved over the story of Z in the beginning he was scared and had no confidence then in the cell saga he got power from his confidence and finally in the buu saga Gohan got over confident and got punished for it.
1. Future Trunks may stay so there's 7 2. Gohan has two love interests actually (Videl and Erasa, the latter having the hots for him before Videl did), so between the two he could have a kid. 3. Tarble and Broly exist

Maybe it would have been better if Shin and Kibito had attacked Babiddi and taken Buu's cocoon while the fight was going on and the ship was left unprotected. Besides, I don't see why Shin would approach Gohan to ask him to do something he could easily do.

I do think Gohan would meet videl. I think mr.satan would take credit for killing cell saying he "Trained for 7 years and that "satan" was a fake clone" or something like that, but videl was know he is lying so she would find out about Gohan, so yeah I think that gohan would meet videl eventually.

Maybe it would have been better if Shin and Kibito had attacked Babiddi and taken Buu's cocoon while the fight was going on and the ship was left unprotected.
