@@libertyprime619 high damage combo means nothing, Kotal khan does most damage in game but does not mean he is the best in game,he loses to character like liu kang and johnny cage any day of the week

Triborg should’ve came back as part of the default roster. Such an interesting concept of a character.. He’s essentially just Robo-Chameleon but it’s still cool.. he could’ve been working along side Frost to restore the Cyber Lin Kuei only to betray her later because “Robots are better”.
It really be a missed opportunity since they already have Sektor and Cyrax models in game but refuse to have them be playable in any capacity. It would make sense to use the assets but nope. Though when I think on it the cyborg characters have all always been broken in one way or another
No, he shouldn't. Sektor is one of the most plot-relevant characters so he should come back. Triborg makes no sense. You might as well remove Sub-Zero and Scorpion and substitute them with Chameleon in that case.
with MK11s kustom variations too, you could probably mix and match the cyborg moves as well. Have a sektor/cyrax fusion for example. Who knows how good it would be, but it would be cool.
Still though, I would rather just have Sektor and Cyrax come back over Triborg.
I think you're on to something there. Realistically, "Triborg" could have been Chameleon. Captured and cyberised. It would have at least added the Kharacter to the roster in a more permanent way and possibly boosted its chances of appearing beyond MK X.

Yeah Cyrax got nerfed so fucking hard I almost didn't play him. Cyrax is my favorite character.

The little spikes of humor like the ending are the perfect addition to such comprehensive looks at this history. The patch notes part at the end is one of the best bits I think Ketchup has ever done in a video.

I think they can retool this character type for ninjas as well.
They can use Chameleon as the base character, and any ninjas that aren't in that mortal kombat can be variations.
So after up missiles, when you went downstairs and made your cup of tea, did you put the cream first or last? And did that choice add to the mix up?

Its always interesting to see how old players had no idea about the potential of a move until it got labbed properly. Like phaseaway. I cant even think how one could think that move is weak.

Churles Jenkins people are still active on ps4, it’s not like mk11 but there’s still a lot of activity and the gameplay is tighter than ever

Triborg was broken beyond belief on day 1, but I do admit that was a little too harsh on the path list. It is funny the way you read it, but I remember me almost crying when I first saw it, lol.
I like this one better, they're way bigger and the hits sound like they hurt. In 11 it just sounds like they're getting hit reallly hard with tomatoes wrapped in oatmeal.

Man, watching this again, really bringing back my need to revisit this game.
I Remember the First Viennality where Madzin robbed me with Cyber Sub , there was a buggy interaction at which we both screamed out WHAT?!. still great times and great games !

Hey, guys, remember when gaming companies used to do massive patches just before major tournaments? So glad that never happens anymore.
I remember all this also using smoke fade in combos gave smoke extra dmg

It could have sektors key strings,such as the flamethrower from sektor. It could have some small bomb setups,and the harpoon from smoke,and icefall from cyber subzero. But it would lack the key strings needed to step into broken. It would be equal in strength to mkx sektor
That sounds like a good reimagining of the character in the future rather than a variation.
It's gonna be good when we eventually get to the competitive history of Cyrax, more people need to know about the MK9 madness

Really makes me miss the absolute insanity of mkx that mk11 just didn’t provide.
MK11 provided nothing but subpar gameplay. Which is a given considering NRS decided to copy SFV, when SFV was an abomination compared to IV. That decision blows my mind considering how SFV was received.
Guds Skyfall to be fair though SFV has come a long way and is a lot better than its initial release. MK11 feels the same

I was undefeated with cyber smoke for a whiiiile then i met my match, got beat by the same guy 3 times in a row, but still cyber smoke is my guy in MKX. Been some years tho

One thing they did right: They actually removed the guaranteed reset Cyrax had in MK9. By removing the "unblockable" nature of his bombs. Damn. Then again, we enjoyed the neutrals of this game, despite first hating it for changing it drastically from MK9.

I had my fun with mkx but i also have to admit that i am glad it's in the past.. i've played so many unfair matches. It's a miracle that i don't suffer from PTSD

He had an infinite unlockable. I got a 389% by spamming dd4 immediately after its recovery. It was insane

I recall flamethrower being plus was removed before in the day one patch so I didn't mention it here. I really wanted to focus on the variations we actually used rather than stuff we'd never have used.

Question okay triborg was a bunch of the ninjas data recorded and put into one body but why do we only have 4 ninja when we could have at least 5 plus others that we don't k ow of now I'm not complaining I love triborg , smoke is my favorite but recently learned of Hydro which was bi hans (the original sub zero) best friend and yes ik he was turned into cyber but he should have been record still and he was better then cyrax and sektor (till they worked together) why wouldnt he be put into triborg?
I'll be honest... I think the last patch was deliberate to kill MKX. I think the game was perfect after the first balance patch post MKXL. Changing the way armor works, changing certain moves, literally at the end of the game's lifespan just ruined the game imo. Characters like Cryomancer Sub were completely crippled imo, while characters like Raiden just got worse over time.
The last patch basically made MKX like a proto-MK11, and that's not what the game was designed to be. The game had a run button, and the game was built around it. Armored launcher, wake up, etc, it all made MKX into a high-octane evolution of MK9.
I would kill for an "MKXL Ultra" where someone undoes the final changes to the game, and restores everyone to their most broken version. Like Raiden is set to his Day 1 version, Triborg to his Day 1 version, etc. Yes, even Tanya and Alien.

I still don't get why they released the character like that just to nerf him so hard later. Messages more mixed than an ex.
I feel like (and I might be stupid) but CSZ now I feel would be better but not broken if he had any safe armored option. I know that’s not much of a possibility with the specials he actually had but something so his neutral wasn’t so terrible. Jason and shinnok still chew him up and there’s almost nothing he can do if they stay near him. I suppose his lack of armor is counteracted by his mobility but he was hilariously bad before the patch in 2016
The cyrax and csz nerfs were too much. Especially csz.
They didn't need that many but nerfs were needed for sure. Cyrax in this state was NOT ok

How did you installed Triborg if it was DLC without internet connection? Wasn't the update (or, at least, ONE update) mandatory for Triborg?
MKXL had the DLC on-disc.
Disc MKXL comes with all DLC on disc :)
Vanilla MKX does not
We need TriBorg in mk11. But id rather Smoke be his own character too. His 3rd variation could be pulse blades. Sorry Ronin Takeda, but the cyborgs had them first. LoL
I'm just pissee they didn't add ANY costume to the dlc fighters. They could've gave triborg the classic cyborg skins
