    This is what I told you some time ago, it is not really 58kwh usable but 58 - buffer. Don't know why VW says it is 62 gross because it is clearly 58 usable - buffer which makes it 54.

    Did you compare to the SoH, showed in carscanner with an obd dongle? Is any difference?

      Those numbers are not very accurate on most cars.

    I guess Aviloo is also getting the data via the OBDII port, so I figure they also have to use data the car offers via the OBDII dongle.
    Anyway I might go and try

    Interessting, Kia eSoul with 2% degradation in 150.000km - probably because of higher hidden buffer?

    It seems only something for an Ev Owner to do who is looking to sell.
    Its not something you can practically do to check the health of a prospective purchase.

    refreshing. the 58 isn't 58 at all. Still weird those real world and factory data. Cause it's already 63kWh gross.

    is says its 99 I guess Euros. it has Ireland BUT No the UK.
    I do not see is this price include the postage each way or not.
    It may be a good idea but it is quiet a lot of money to find out what your battery capacity is

      Maybe because UK uses miles all others on the list use kilometre, maybe brexit and the pain of paper work and getting it tested.

    Aviloo claims that the capacity of a new ID.3 is 54kWh instead of 58kWh. VW compensated owners for the heat pump as it wasn't as energy efficient as they advertised so I wonder will they compensate for the missing 4kWh as well...

    • @BatteryLife
      @BatteryLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, there is a difference between net capacity and what you can use to drive.

    • @otm205
      @otm205 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gross capacity 62kWh, net capacity 58kWh and usable/drivable capacity 54kWh? I'm missing something here, net should be what you can use. Or is the extra 4kWh of the net reserved for some other use than driving?

    • @BatteryLife
      @BatteryLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@otm205 it means after the car shows 0% you can still drive. And VW determines when the software says you cannot drive anymore.

    • @justus6564
      @justus6564 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BatteryLife Anyway, something is strange. Aviloo says, they meassure the capacity from full to until the car will not drive anymore (not 100% to 0%). Net capacity is written with 58 kWh, that should be usable in my opinion.

    • @verboseEV

    How do you know it accurate? The company says it is. But is it really? And how can you test this?

    • @BatteryLife
      @BatteryLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because they have been tested by institutions and that is why they can give the certificate.
