I think everyone has said it brilliantly. An epic region and well presented and super crisp video for all of us to enjoy. It's simply an awe inspiring place and awe is good for our well being. Thanks for making us feel better about the world once more although the missing walker is a reminder that it doesn't always go to plane. Great stuff! All the best. Mark.
Thanks Mark. Love the cairngorms but it is a very unforgiving place and need to take a lot of care and be prepared. Even then bad luck or bad health can have an impact.Like may latest Cairngorms film I got myself off the tops as soon as the weather turned for the worst. Plenty more days to go back and try again, like yesterday. Just got back this morning after finally getting up the Munro 'Derry Cairngorm' so film in the making. Thanks for watching and Atb, Ray.
Renegade Scot Hi Ray - pleasure to watch, your right of course...these mountains and areas can be underestimated in the UK. Oh it's only the UK people think...but they are serious environments yet amazing and wonderful as you demonstrate. Good to hear you summit-ed that munro I suspect the video is magic. Really look forward to that..Any way, have a superb week. Mark.
Its one thing to go out hiking in an area of stunning beauty, its another to be able to capture it for all to see. Ray this film tells me that you have a special gift.I hope all is well with the person who was lost, superb film, God bless you mate as you enjoy your hobby
+savedpurplecat Thanks mate. Very kind words, but just try to film as I see the trip. Just been lucky with weather and scenery to be honest. Maybe out again in Gorm's this weekend to do another section if the weather is ok. Still trying to learn the best format, music, talking, etc. How much of this and that to keep it interesting and worth watching. Another thing the film shows is how quick the weather was changing. Blue sky one minute and blizzard the next. Can be a very scary place if unprepared. ATB RS.
Me and my wife found Bob Scott's bothy last year totally by accident while out walking, stopped their for lunch. Such a lovely place and a v well kept bothy. Enjoyed your trip.
Your work just keeps getting better and better. We've never trekked in the Cairngorms, but your super film has given us some incentive to make Scotland one of our must do places in the near future. Excellent work, well done! Martin and Sharron, Purple Peak Adventures, Ireland
+martin critchley Thanks Martin. High praise coming from yourselves and is appreciated. Hope you get over to Scotland as it has some amazing places to visit. Will look forward toyour film of the trip. ATB RS.
Super Video (informative video description), a tribute to the mountain rescue, but also thank you for Contemp the great landscapes. Best wishes from Germany :))
Excellent again mate. Beautiful scenes and great filming. The bothy looked great I bet it was hard to leave. Nice wee tent too. Great pitch you found. Shame about the memory cards. I was getting right into it lol. Do you know if they found the missing walker? Hope so. They do great work the MR Keep them coming my friend. Atb for now. Andy.
+Andy “RAINMAN” Wardle Thanks Andy. The bothy was great and later in the evening with the fire roaring it was a great laugh. Was actually glad in a way to get out into the cold as it was too hot. Great walk with some fantastic spots to camp amongst the old pine trees. Sadly the guy is still missing and the MR are still searching every day. ATB RS.
Lovely area ..the old pines are fantastic..must say the snow makes it.. I have seen the bothy before..think it was on the TV programme Bothy LIFE ??..very tempting to just settle there...sad about the missing walker..look forward to your next one..ATB...R&D
+garn fora ratch Hi Mate. Thanks for watching. Think it was on that program. It is a popular one due to its easy access so can be very busy in the better weather.
+madDog Bushcraft Hi MD. The bothy was a surprise to me as I had heard lots of good and bad things about them. However this one is very well looked after and will be back again. Thanks for watching. ATB RS.
Subscribed. Good video. I love the Cairngorms and have fancied that bit close to Bob Scott's for a hammock camp for a while. I agree about the area being amazing in the winter. Quite sobering to have seen the note in the Bothy and the mountain rescue though. Atb, Gordon.
+Stormcrafter Thanks Gordon. It has some great spots for hammocks. Have thought about maybe trying out the hammock camping myself at some point. ATB RS.
