That reporter’s speech made me so happy because, as a Messi fan (and a believer that he’s the GOAT), she communicated what a lot of people wanted to say. I am from India and have followed Messi for all the 5 WCs. I never missed any of the WC matches he played in. Rooted for him everytime and cried every time when him and Argentina did not make it. I still remember crying my heart and eyes out and being sad and depressed in 2014 after the final. I watched every match of the WC and it ended with Messi missing out by the goal from Mario Goetze in the dying minutes of the match. Took me a month to recover from the heartbreak. And then 2018 was a disaster. Also the heartbreaks of every Copa America final where Chile won. I was convinced that i myself am unlucky for Messi. I did not watch a single match of the Copa America 2021 and neither did I watch a single match of Qatar World Cup and lo behold....Messi won both. Since then I might have watched the Copa and the highlights of every Argentina match a hundred times and it inspires and makes me happy every time. Messi and the Argentina team rose like a Phoenix and conquered the World. I am so happy that Messi finally won the Copa and World Cup. Hats off to his leadership skills, determination and hope to win at all costs. Truly, he is the GOAT for generations to come.

I watched every match of the WC and it ended with Messi missing out by the goal from Mario Goetze in the dying minutes of the match. Took me a month to recover from the heartbreak. And then 2018 was a disaster. Also the heartbreaks of every Copa America final where Chile won. I was convinced that i myself am unlucky for Messi. I did not watch a single match of the Copa America 2021 and neither did I watch a single match of Qatar World Cup and lo behold....Messi won both. Since then I might have watched the Copa and the highlights of every Argentina match a hundred times and it inspires and makes me happy every time. Messi and the Argentina team rose like a Phoenix and conquered the World. I am so happy that Messi finally won the Copa and World Cup. Hats off to his leadership skills, determination and hope to win at all costs. Truly, he is the GOAT for generations to come.
