I’m on my 5th. Best truck I’ve ever owned. No problem towing a two place 19 ft snowmobile trailer. No problems in snow or sand. I just wish they would give it a little lift.

It doesn't matter what they change or what they don't change.. some people will want it to sit 3 ft in the air some people are happy the way it is and some people will want a V8 or some people will want a bigger bed etc etc..
I just bought a 2023 Honda Ridgeline sport and he discounted it $3,000 so it came to about 36k and I got 2.9% financing.... I'm very happy with it I like the way it rides I like the size because it's easy to park and it fits good in my garage and it does everything I need it to do...
If you want to crawl over rocks and pay $50 or $60,000 I suggest buying a tundra or something with a frame under it and making it your own

In November, i bought a 2023 RTL. I got 2k off and 2.9 for 60 months. Other than the radio, i am glad i bought the 23 instead of the 24. Especially do not the Ridgeline stamped in the tailgate. And not a fan of the new center console. Like my armrest in the seats.

The Ridgeline could be my next truck, replacing a 2000 Tundra - pretty big shoes to fill. Switching from body-on-frame to unibody is a big consideration, but with good handling and comfort now more important to me than power and payload, I think I can live with the Honda. The box of the Ridgeline looks useful and not so ridiculously far off the ground like full-size trucks. Going from 4-wheel drive to all-wheel drive is a concern. In Minnesota, icy roads (and snow to a lessor-extent), are part of everyday life here for 4 to 5 months. Traction control and the ability to finesse a vehicle on treacherous road surfaces is essential. Quiet equates quality. After test driving a Honda Passport, I was disappointed with the noisy interior: this will influence the final decision. Finally, economy at the pump and service bay is where everyone needs to save money. Having owned two Accords, I can attest to Honda durability. Will the Ridgeline prove the same?

Honda is suppose to have one of the best AWD, so you should be fine. Watched a bunch of videos about it before buying mine. Most impressive one I saw was with three wheel spinning it still could redirect power to the wheel with traction. The Toyota aWD they were testing too. Could not do it.

I just got a 2024 BE Sonic Gray.. really really like it. roomy, quiet, comfortable seating. drives smooth. peppy engine, ride confort and handling is great too.. BUT here's the BUT.. things i felt Honda came up short.. these are little things but would have made the Ridgeline perfect in my opinion.. Parking sensors - why no front center sensors, it only has front corner sensors.. when i pull up on a car or parking pole those corner sensors dont sense anything. way to g honda sensing.. ACC why no stop and go/slow follow, they have it on their other cars. Passenger seat - its a power seat but has no height adjustment . Hvac fan speed - low is still a bit fast for low.- should be another step or two slower.. Center HVAC vents - why is there no shutoff lever.. you have them on the outter vents why not center too.... Rear view Mirror - why is it so small, the rear window view does not fully fill up what you see in the rear view mirror.. 360 cam -why doesnt this truck have 360 or front camera - i would pay if it was an option. Rear tailgate - should have a handle sensor so when you walk up you can just pull either handle to open the tailgate instead of using the key fob first.. Storage pockets and cup holders - they should include rubber liners in the bottom... Rear power window - would have been nice to include one touch open and close... So these are just things i think would go along way to making it perfect for me... the ACC lacking stop and go , the missing front center parking sensors and no height adjustment for the passenger seat are just half assed job cutting corners on a truck that cost msrp black edition $48,200 should really include those 3 things..

Honda needs to get rid of the timing belt ... that is very expensive maintenance at only 160,000 km here in Canada. With the spark plugs it's over $2,000. Plus get rid of that VCM system. IMO Honda does that to meet the Cafe requirements and they don't care what that means to the customer of long term reliability.

When I read last year that Honda was updating the model there was one thing I didn't see. The rear bumper, did they ever affix it (weld it) to the unibody? Co-worker had one (2021), and it actually tore out/off of it's plastic housing/clips. Honestly, never seen a rear (fake) step bumper on anything classified as a small truck at $40k+. and my buddy is like 160 lbs . Since I'm in the market and really like the Honda line, I'd strongly consider it. Thanks

I’d say at $44k and let’s say Honda won’t budge on the price when the half tons are starting to see big discounts ($10-$15k off MSRP) then the Ridgeline is a tough argument. But if you could get that RTL for $38-$40k once more of the 2024’s start stacking up on dealer lots it’s an enticing alternative to everything else (my opinion).

They are highly capable of developing great hybrid powertrains and should have hybrid versions of the Odyssey, Ridgeline, Pilot, and Passport. Two sins the Ridge is guilty of: One, the short bed. Yes, it seems that most mid-size trucks are sold with a 5', or even shorter bed. Why? Because that's what people buy! Although available, it's almost impossible to find a Tacoma or Frontier with the long-bed (6 feet) option. And you can no longer get one on a Colorado, starting in 2023. Apparently, the mid-size truck buyer doesn't care for that extra functionality, which begs the question: why are you buying a truck in the first place?
The popularity of the five-foot bed (or even shorter, like on a Maverick or Santa Cruz) just proves that many people NEVER use their truck to carry anything bigger that a lawn mower, so I don't want to hear about how the Ridgeline is not a "Real" truck, when they are in fact driving their Tacos with the tiny bed. Please, Honda, get a clue, and make a 6-foot bed an option! At least the Ridgeline, because of the independent rear suspension, has 49" between the wheel wells, which means you can carry sheets of plywood or drywall FLAT, with the tailgate down, of course. Why do these reviews never mention this fact?
The second deadly sin is the limited ground clearance. No, I don't want or need a rock crawler (I have a mountain bike for that). But I live in a place that regularly gets massive snow storms, like 50" in 3 days, so an extra inch or two of ground clearance would be most welcome.

I want a mid-gate. Keep the truck length the same but a mid-gate that lets you slide stuff up to the front seats is great. See 2002-2013 Chevy Avalanche or 2025 Silverado EV for an example.

I have a 19 Honda Passport that I’ve tricked out with all black badges, black wheels and off-road tires. But the Honda pickup, being exceptionally well made still does not exude the pickup profile structurally. It looks like something that’s “trying“ to be a pickup.

Tom, I have the original 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL. It has 423,000 miles on it. Only thing I am unhappy with now is my navigation doesn't work any longer. Even the Honda Master mechanics can't figure it out. My steering wheel has lost it's leather on top, one rip in my drivers seat, and it uses a bit of oil now even though no smoke out the exhaust. This has me thinking of buying a new one. I like mine better than the new one as my bed is simply bigger. The engine and transmission in the new one is better. Trying to decide to make that move. Any thoughts?

      Hi Patrick!
Thank you for sharing. It sounds like your current Ridgeline has been good to you for a long time.
I am hoping Honda will finally roll pout a new Ridgeline design for 2025 but it is not common to see such a thing happen the year after a refresh. If there is no word by August or September, I don’t see it happening. If I were you, if you want to buy another Ridgeline I would wait until then if possible to see what your options may be.

I had a 22 RTL Obsidian Blue/ Grey Leather. Traded in for wife's new 24 CRV-Hybrid. I wonder if new sport Ridgeline has new soft touch and material seats?? I didn't care for grey leather interior or cheap plastic feel of plastics. Bring back a CD player? lol Get rid of moon roof! Wheels look better than old 5 spoke but I had 6 spokes also. Better shocks? it likes to wallow at high speeds like 90! Price is kind of high!? for so little in new stuff? Colors please! Maybe I'll wait until 25? Glad they didn't put new Pilot engine and 10 speed trans in. Did they figure out the crank shaft problem? Does the new Trail Sport rear end require more maintenance than the 22 models? Wonder how it drive compared to my 22? Thanks for the review PS I liked the old chair arms!

I traded in my 2017 ridgeline at 95,000 due to multiple issues including fuel injectors (twice), navi, fuel pump issues, torque converter, wire harness for towing, and finally the catalytic converter was going bad. All of these were replaced free of charge with reconditioned parts, not new parts. Be aware that another issue is coming around the corner for the engine, lifters or some moving part is breaking. Causing engine failure, oops. This is for 2015-2020 models with v6. I would not buy another Honda again as the quality has dropped a lot per Consumer Reports. I am not privy to any redesign for the parts mentioned except the injectors. Buyer beware.....$4600 at dealer to replace timing belt, plugs, and valve adjustment.

I am hanging on to my 2008 Ridgeline RTL which I bought brand-new for $24,500 OUT THE DOOR in April 2008. The great recession was just starting, and they were practically giving these things away. It's been a champ for the last 16 years, with basically zero repairs other than routine maintenance and an A/C compressor (I live in Arizona, so...) I'd like to upgrade to something newer, but I just don't think the newer Ridgelines look that nice, and the newer tech (while nice) is just not compelling enough to justify the switch.

Where’s the temperature gauge? Did Honda do away with the temperature gauge? Will I have to do the scroll thing with the buttons on the steering wheel just to find out how hot the Ridgeline is running or will I have to wait for an idiot light to come on? I don’t understand why Honda did away with the temperature gauge on the instrument panel.

Ridgeline stamped in the tailgate makes me think of base model trucks as that was often how it was done at that level. Nicer levels would have seperate applique letters attached? The bed needs to be 6' long. I like the rude heught, it does not need a lift or more ground clearance. I cant even believe they ask for that. Go buy a full size truck and get your fantasy on. My maun truck is a Dodge Cummins 2500 4x4 and i am looking for something lower to the ground and easier to drive with a smoother ride. The trailsport package is the dumbest think i have ever heard of. It is a Honda pickup. What is all the "off-roadung" that everybody is doing? Its like complaining about not having enough lift or off-road capability for a skateboard. The truck is fine the way it is. Doesnt need to tow anymore, fine the way it is.
