We have two dogs, Blue (Pit/Lab Mix) and Mako (Great Dane) who we love to spoil and spend every minute with. We love to boat on the ocean, go to the beach, hike, fish, workout, and travel. Anything that gets us outdoors and having fun! Sarah and I are both from Southern Minnesota. We met in College in LaCrosse Wisconsin during nursing school. After graduation we made a major move (over 1600 miles), down to Fort Myers, Florida. We were staff nurses at Gulf Coast Medical Center on a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) and a Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) for two years. We were able to gain our experience during our time in the sunshine state and after that we were ready to hit the road and travel! We started this channel to document all of our adventures and our lives throughout our traveling career. Stick with us as we travel the country and show you the life of a Travel Nurse!
This was a really nice and enjoyable video bro. Ridgeline had impressive performance. Loved the doggie and gf and road trip shenanigans lol
Thank you I appreciate it! And there’s always time for a few shenanigans 🙂
Good video and nice truck! We are considering a Ridgeline as our next vehicle.
Thank you I appreciate It! Check them out for sure!
Towed my 2017 Mazda3 from Illinois to Florida this past summer. Kept it in eco even throughout Tennessee and had no issues. 2023 RTL
That’s impressive! I was considering towing my girlfriends car next time we move. Thanks for the comment!
The tire point is brought up a lot, and it is valid. However, if you know you are loading the bed, you can mount it at the front of the bed since Honda made accommodation for that, and then you wouldn’t have to unload it, but you do lose a bit of bed space.
I wasn’t aware of that, thank you for the info and comment!
@@ColeJErie it’s the little rubber plug on the front driver’s side wall. You just secure the tire using the spare tire hardware. Beats rolling in the mud and snow!
That trip would've been cheaper over 4 yrs ago. Lol
Sure would have! A lot cheaper
Beautiful dogs brother. 👍
Thank you so much 🙂
Just stumbled on your channel, that co-pilot in charge of the snacks at 3:00 is a gem!! I've never had a co-pilot that understood you need variety in your snack selection, and that tylenol is considered an essential snack on road trips lol
She’s a keeper for sure! And a variety is a must for those long trips! Thank you for your comment?🙂
You would have had a lot less with any other mid sized trucks. Thank you for the video!
Agreed, thanks for the comment!
@@ColeJErie maybe I missed it but did you use premium gas for hauling? I thought with the ridgeline you are supposed to use sport mode to haul with too.
@@fate7623 I don’t normally use premium in my Ridgeline even if I’m towing. I use sport mode most the time when I’m towing. I tried using the regular drive mode at first because my load was light but I could tell the truck was struggling so I switched to sport. Thank you for the comment!
@TravelingMurse welcome sir and thanks for the info. I just bought a ridgeline, so I welcome any suggestions on towing or how to tow. I just found your channel, so you got a sub.
@@fate7623 congrats on the new truck! I’m sure you will love it. And if I think of any tips for towing I’ll let you know. Thanks🙂
Loved the video, you two look like you have so much fun! Also, welcome to Arizona! I apologize for our trash problem 🤣
My wife & I have been looking at getting a Ridgeline for me, we both own Civics. You seem like you really like yours, which gives me optimism! Just need the price to come down a smidge or find a decent deal on a used one haha.
We sure did have some fun on the way here and while being here 🙂 I do enjoy the truck a good amount so I’m sure you would too! And yeah they are a little spendy😕 thank you for the comment!
I just bought a 2024 Ridgeline Trail Sport, and the spare tire issue is real....however, I wonder if there is a way to get a full size spare and jack, and just lay it down in the bed of the truck securely near the back to make it easier. You wouldn't lose that much storage space. It's not that much space if you think about it.
That’s a great idea, sure would be nice to have a full size spare!
Nice. Helpful. Nice rancher
Thank you I appreciate it🙂
I prefer to remove a couple stuff from bed than laying on ground and fighting the spare.
I completely agree, the spare when it’s under the truck is was more work for sure. Thanks for the comment!
Cool video. Just wondering what mpgs would've been calculating manually? Those computers are often way off.
That’s a great question, I’ve got to fill the tank today and I’ll do some calculating this week. Thanks for the comment 🙂
You might try a higher octane to see if that helps the mileage
Good advice! I’ll give that a try on the next road trip 🙂
Cool truck! I find the way the hood communicates with the windshield a bit odd. But hey
Thank you! And yes there are certainly a few odd things about the truck, but good truck overall!
Did u make a video of your trip from florids.
No I didn’t 😔 I hadn’t started doing TH-cam yet at that time. Thank you for the comment!
Any issues with carbon buildup since the engines are GDI ?
I haven’t had any, and I haven’t heard others mention problems with it, yet anyways!
How many miles do you have on it ? I’m looking to buy one for my gardening business. It’s only 1 guy and myself and a few machines . I’m just tired of spending a fortune on American trucks . They are expensive using them and then repairing them.
@@qualitylandscapeandhauling7942 That's completely understandable! I currently have 18,476 miles on mine. It has been working great for me so far. I think it would do well for a landscaping business, as long as the machines you are loading in the bed/hauling aren't too large as the bed is smaller.
What mileage did you get towing the 6x23 trailer
With the 6x12 I got around 14.5
Tanks
Honda recommends premium gas over 3500 lbs
@@edwardfrost346 I wasn’t aware of that, thanks for the tip!
What did it cost to rent the u haul?
It was a little over $370 and I had it for a week
Thay trailer setup is totally wrong. It should not be leaning back. Not that I haven't done the same thing.
Do you think I should’ve had a hitch drop instead of the straight hitch? Thanks for the comment 🙂
@@ColeJErie Yes, a hitch drop.
Tryna get me one so I can do the same with my dog
It’s a blast you should do it!
So we are just going to ignore the box of 🍆🍆🍆 they found? That was alarming to be honest 🚨😳. Nice truck though for sure!
Isn’t that crazy?!?! I would understand one or two on the side of the road, but a bakers dozen is a bit much 😂😂 thank you for your comment!
Your ruined the video with that toxic person next to you..
Toxic person?
