Tim definitely needs to publish a cookbook!!! I love his well used (Trangia) gear and his knowledge is amazing. He’s really an old school soul. Andy with his blue balaclava (hood thing) made me think that he was one of the knights of the round table. Sir Peesallnight 🤣
I'm full of envy. You are 3 fortunate fellows. It is a real pleasure to see you share the adventure & thanks for bringing me along. Stay safe & take care. Brian 81
I love your videos as they they make me feel like I'm sitting in the hot tent with you guys in a fun and relaxed way. Tim should definitely do a cookbook, he seems to take great pleasure in making things from scratch on your trips and that's worth sharing. Sorry we missed seeing you up there, next time.
Title for the cookbook "It's Tim's Turn to Cook" 😋 that chili looked good. And the stew too! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has leftover stew for breakfast 😁 It's difficult to think of our lumpy hills here in Ontario as mountains, but I know at some point thousands of years ago they probably looked like other mountain ranges on the continent. But then the glaciers cut off the tops. I've never been to Killarney. I'm thinking this year it's a toss up to hike La Cloche or the Coastal Trail in Pukaskwa. Heads or tails?
Great video Kevin. Looked like a relaxing trip with an awesome bunch - and food looked amazing. Stove control is so tricky - hard not to hit turbo mode. Awesome tips.
Killarney Provincial park is my favourite place on earth. I’ve only been to George lake campground in the winter. One night freezing in a tent and one night in a heated yurt. I can’t wait to go back and see more of the park. I really want to hike the crack!
@@TheHappyCamper Thanks for the replies, really enjoying all your videos! :) A few whisky chats ideas: Identifying dead standing trees, and discussing which woods you are burning, best ways of splitting (while standing up), how warm do suggested sleeping bag temperature ratings in hot tent camping, the need of a fan in a hot tent at the ceiling. Cheers!
Question on snowshoes Kevin. Noticed you use traditional snowshoes without cleats. I know these are easier to repair but how about traction up & down hills vs those with metal cleats? Always interested in your wisdom. Thanks!
I meant to bring my metal cleat shoes. Back shed door was frozen shut so I took my traditional ones instead. I like those for deep snow but for climbing up the ridges the new age ones with cleats would have been better. Notice how we didn't use the shoes going up the ridges. LOL
Another terrific video. Thanks for taking us along.
Great singing I love Reginald Kenneth Dwight.
“ I woke up....and I was alive “.....the greatest feeling in the bush besides the first sip of coffee
You always seem to have such fun on your trips! Thanks for another great video Kev!

Tip of the hat to Tim!!
BEST TIME TO GO CAMPING, FALL AND WINTER, NO BUGS!!! NO HEAT!!!

The Crack is an amazing place.
I have the same thing as your spice rack except mine has fur dubbing flies for fishing
Looking forward to meeting Andy at Canoecopia this weekend.
He's not there in person this year. I'm guessing his barrel stuff will be.
@@TheHappyCamper I understand that crossing the border is complicated still. I'll say hi to the barrels.
I’d love to see -or hear - Tims recipes
I gotta say I'm really digging Andy's capote. He looks like the mad trapper in Death Hunt.
Keep an eye out for Charlie Bronson ;-)
Great movie
Great Video Kevin!
great trip!
high quality content
Hey Kevin, thanks for uploading your trip with the guys! - Question: What happens if the stove pipe gets too hot? (Red)
It's not good for the metal and it gives off toxic fumes.
@@TheHappyCamper Oh I didn't know! Thank you! - Would you go with Knico or GWM then (considering the same size)?
@@christopherrobichaud5285 I've used Knico. I don't know too much about the other.

Would you suggest a Frontcountry hot tent trip for someone who has never hot tented before or, if possible, in your backyard first?
Frontenac Outfitters and Algonquin Outfitters now rent hot tents. Silent Lake is also a great place to try hot tenting

Oh g--,glad you showed up.nothing good on utube this am
Apparently ketchup started out as Chinese pickled fish sauce. Who knew?
Who knew??
Wait, what happened to the girl and her father on lake Winnipeg. 😶
They lived...it's a great book.
