    I totally agree that a user needs to be able to adjust the unit to the conditions but that’s starts by fully understanding what each of the settings do. I have been searching through videos to find if someone and has done this and so far I haven’t found anything that covers all this, you obviously have a really good understanding of the unit and it’s setting. I do understand what some settings do but other settings I have no idea how they affect things e.g changing frequencies I know it chances things but how and when should I try a different frequency? The silencer what does that really do and how does that affect things.
    I would love if you could continue these little lesson videos and break down your understanding of the unit and its settings.
    Thanks for the great videos.

    I run 2 programs similar to your hot program. One is based off gen and the other is Sensi ft. If it’s wet I use the one built off gen pro….the machine does not disappoint but she’s gotta be tuned. Best of luck this year buddy…get that jewelry!

      I use both the General and SensFT programs as a base also. I have not had much luck tuning the DeepHC program.

    Great video Jeremy! So true, what You showed there! I sometimes wonder why people name their settings a unique program? For me a program is the deus defaults and then you adjust a couple values of this program to fit it your needs. Even the stock programs are not all really different, they just differ by some parameters. If you put in the same parameters in prog 1 and 2 you get the same result. Prog 3 is really a different program. I spent some time to figure out waht differences the stock programs have with identical parameters. With this I could skip using some base programs as basis for my custom settings, because they do not behave different. XP is a bit confusing people with their stock configurations in my judgement, because they supply 12 programs, where maybe 5 are really unique in their core. The rest is just different set parameter values...

    Are you running version 0.71, 1.1 or 2.0? I have been working in 2.0 for some time now. SenFT is my go to with some mods. I live in Pennsylvania. I believe what you say 100%, it is crazy how on one day and one location one program and kill it and another program will not do as good. Thanks for sharing. One other question, do you have any advice on how to combat EMI from an Electric fences? I emailed XP for help but have not heard back. Again thanks for doing what you do for this hobby.

      I am running v1.1. I do use program 3 for a base probably more than any other program. SensFT does seem to have just the right filtering for my soil and swing speed. That electric fence interference can be tricky to bypass. Lowering audio response very low can help tremendously with the fence EMI, single frequency full tones with a small window of notching of that fence EMI/VDI. Although notching will usually make the detector run unstable. The best way to eliminate the fence EMI is to ask the farmer to switch the fence power off for a couple hours and hunt next to the fence.

      @@PaystreakSuperfreak Thanks for getting back with me and the advice. The last place I detected the farm did turn off the fence for me.

    Could the paystreak maybe experiment with a version of the goldfield program, heard some freaks experimenting with this, and since we all are freaks that's up my alley!

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can do the gold field test too!! I have not had much luck with the Gold field program or Relic program. It does not have negative discrimination. Gold and Relic have silent notching and nail rejection instead of discrimination(tome break). Utilizing negative discrimination brings a whole different dimension which provides us with a better understanding and perspective of the ground we swing over. I like knowing how the detector is responding to the soil and swing speed through the tonal feedback. Goldfield/Relic offers no tonal feedback from the soil because it rejects the soil. Also the Gold field program does require a slower swing speed maybe because of the high pass filtering and the high TX power. The gold field program will false on the end of the swing if the coil is raised, bumped or if swing is too fast. Gold field is also very very hot on those tiny bits of foil that are impossible to find with a pinpointer.

      Maybe notching 8-35, my problems in Goldfield are the Bottlecaps 💀

      Bottlecaps are tough to recognize on the D2.
