When I want xp deus old, I got xp orx instead due to limited budget. now release new model and I still couldn't afford it. I just hope xp do upgrade xp orx , still waiting for go terrain apps or at least xy screen addition to xp orx in the next software update. Greetings from Indonesia.

Again, XP read my mind, a shortcut to the big numbers option. Next thing would be not having to hit another button to exit pinpoint, for the few times i do use pinpoint. It’s always awkward to have to hit that other button to exit pp.

Thanks for all the videos Gary. Would love to see some more info on pinpointing, specifically on the coil in relation to the target. Shrinking the target down to a super precise location on a screen is great but knowing where exactly under the coil that sweet spot is what I'm missing.
I find the wiggle method is still the best with the Deus
Im a newbie to the Deus 2 and initially found this machine a bit complicated. Your videos have been extremely helpful! Thank you! Quick question. I noticed you keep your pinpointer on the shaft of your shovel. How did you secure it? I think it’s a great idea and would like to give it a go! Thanks again for your informative videos!

Great video gary, question on the frequency scan? If I turn on the machine in the field and have no emi do I have to perform a frequency similar to the noise cancel on the equinox? At the moment I’m only do a scan when machine is chatty, cheers

Hi Gary - Do you have an updated sonar program yet off the deep HC yet ? I tried your original settings off Deus 1 and they seem to work pretty darn good . Since the 2 seemed much more stable, I tried reactivity of 3 instead . Any thoughts ?

Hey Gary! I’m starting to learn all about the amazing programs and the expert options on the Deus II and I can’t wait to get out into the field!!! In fact, I’m testing it with the finds I’ve found over the past few years from my AT Max and I’m just extremely please at how the programs interact with my past finds!!!
I have another question if you don’t mind… I would use Threshold at a “1” on my old machine; but I was always told that was a perfect setting; but I never asked what is “Threshold” used for exactly? Is it anything other than us just hearing the “humming” sound from the machine or does it do anything else? I heard it’s supposed to help with very faint signals; but is that the case on the Deus II? Again, THANK YOU for ALL your support and tips!!!!! -Chris

good tutorial as usual gary, great to see i can move to the big numbers and horseshoe by pressing the 2 buttons, but i see if i switch off, it reverts back to small screen. do you think this will be corrected in an update?
I have asked for it to default but I can't say if it will be a feature.
I know this is a bit off base but I was going to buy a second fmf coil and get a xp orx telescopic stem to enable two detectors in one. Does the fmf coil fit the xp orx stem cheers

If I start from a program like N ° 1 or N ° 2, I modify the parameters that I need, tones, discrimination, etc .... then I save it with another position .... it always remains with the Multi-frequency function, right?

Hey Gary, great video and thanks for the tips. Could you help those of us who are struggling to understand target depth with the deus 2? I feel naked without a depth gauge.
You have the same horse shoe as the D1 Philip, it is around the outside. Watch my big number video over on the metal detecting skill school.
@@The-skillschool thank you, will do. I wasn't sure how to read it, to me it seemed like a ferrous, non-ferrous indicator. I had no idea it also conveyed depth.
I also would like to see a depth meter on coin sized objects . it has more uses than just that also.

Hello Gary,
New D2 owner here. I have noticed that if I make slight adjustments within a given program such as tone breaks and turn the machine off and then back on, it reverts to factory settings. I think it would be nice if each program had a "factory default" option so that any minor adjustments made in the field would stay versus having to save a program specifically. Then if I ever wanted to go back to the original setting of that factory or personalized program, I would simply hit the "factory default" option within that program. Now, like I said...I am a new owner and user of XP so I apologize in advance if this feature already exists. Thank you!
For all XP machines, to keep your custom programs, you need to save them. This way, when you turn ON your machine, you are sure to keep your factory programs untouched and your custom programs saved, no mistakes possible. 😉👍
I have just moved over from minelab to deus 2 and the problem I have so far is iron falsing mid to high non ferrous numbers on most programs so digging junk when should be non ferrous any advice you can give thanks

Today I searched together with my search buddy. He linked the M6 pinpointer to his dEUS. Our detectors were next to each other. When he turned on his pinpointer, the info ended up on my screen
also happened to me this week. i've got a feeling i'll have to unpair the pinpointer and re-pair in the field. pairing in the house can cause problems with all the EMI.
Can you please tell me something about each plate/disc? Wich of them is better for discrimination?

Do you have any idea why sometimes there is no audio in the headphones when you switch on and I have had to switch on and off multiple times to get the Deus II to be able to detect using the headphones. Any thoughts please how to resolve this?
It could be EMI, it may also be worth updating your machine and headphones.
Will you create something else for us about Deus 1 and ORX?

Hi Gary, thanks for the tips and tricks for the DEUS II.
There are two more useful shortcuts in the main menu. If you press the "+" button for 2 seconds, you can adjust the volume of the headphones or speakers.
If you press the upper right button for 2 seconds, it will start the automatic frequency scan. I find this very convenient.

the first shortcut (to increase the conductivity index) does not work on my deus2 version 0.6.
Which version do you have?
I just found the solution.
curiously I relaunched the V0.6 update which had been installed for several months and surprise the shortcut works!

Used to have Deus 1 full set up,, but sold it to get the 11. Got bored of waiting for non existent machines so have gone to the light which is plenty good enough for me. Been an XP user from the very beginning and only search for ancient finds. Gary is probably the best demonstrators on TH-cam by the way...!

Clear question: is the DEUS2 worth its money or not?
If u have the old deus and ur happy with it no. But if you’re looking for something new then yes definitely.

used D1 for $400 much better than new D2 for $1400. Anyway D1 better for any price 😁
@@The-skillschool No, I'm not doing that (yet). I do this hobby too sporadically for that. I bought the HEATHKIT GD-48 detector kit in the mid-1970s and was very active with the device in the early days. It's only recently that I've gotten interested in this hobby again. And I'm still considering whether I should buy the DEUS2.
Interested in this but I’m one income family and can’t afford $1,500 does it ever go on sale ...

(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
