    As a women who worked at PepsiCo in Purchase, NY for 10 years under Indra Nooyi's leadership, I still get excited and inspired when I hear her speak. She is truly missed. Great interview!

    I was fired while on maternity leave. I've never felt the weight of being a woman heavier than at that point in my life. Indra Nooyi is a huge mentor to me.

      @@MartinAthletics Do you not understand the basic concepts of Maternity leave? Households can no longer afford to live on one income. By not providing maternity leave or paternity leave, you are stating that raising a family should only be for the rich and wealthy which is elitist to say the least.

      @@sagarskumar8679 But she is a female CEO. And yes it's necessary to mention the word "female" coz a huge chunk of the struggle she has faced is because she is a female. And therefore her struggle holds more merit and inspiration. Hats off for her to have achieved what she has achieved, inspite of all the gender stereotypes and gender biases, both within the family and in the outside world, especially being a married woman with kids, every step of her way.

    As a former CEO I can say confidently that many people are capable of performing that role. It's not a terribly difficult job as decisions are made with the Board, input from research data, and so on.

    At 1:28 Indra, for someone supposedly so intelligent, progressive, ought to stop referring to herself as "colored" woman. Instead we should use a more non-color based term. In her case "Indian-American". Instead of "white", European American. We already say "African American".

    She should be offerred a seat.on the GE board even though she didn't accept their job offer. GE will show that all is forgiven.
    The group seemed to have fallen on hard times recently going by the book Power Failure.
    Indra would have some ideas on business strategy, innovation and transformation that maybe worth trying to improve GE's brands and bottom line.

    Look up Brandon Ingram's story. He was severely electrocuted at his Frito lay job and abandoned by his employers. Brandon Ingram is a US Vet and served our country. He survived war, only to crumble in the hands of Frito lay.
