Born and Raised in Oregon moved to Michigan 20 years ago. The coast is what I miss the most. Nothing compares to it. The roar of the ocean, the smell of the sand, sea and pines!
I hope this doesn’t sound offensive, but I’m loving the vlogs with just you out doing stuff. Your kids are super adorable and I love seeing updates on them, but these recent vlogs feel like your old ones before kids and I realized I miss seeing those. I’m a mom of 4 so I get how kids take up every aspect of life, but I found this fun and refreshing and now I’m thinking maybe it’d be good for me to take a trip away for a few days by myself.
I really have enjoyed this Oregon travel series! Traveling alone can be such a beautiful and powerful experience 💕 Thanks as always for taking us along 🙂
I am really enjoying this: not thinking too much and just living life. Almost as if impromptu. I can’t find words to express but I strive to find my own time that includes things I love to do; time when I am not taking care of my family and kids whom I adore 🥰
@ChaniP You are so right. We tend to mute & in some instances give up so much of who we are as mothers, daughters & wives in service of our families & that can wear a person down over time. So it's very important to do things for ourselves. @Jen Validation is so important & this experience was evidently cathartic & we loved being apart of it. Goonies was filmed in Astoria, a good distance North but still of course on the Oregon Coast. We live very close by to where Jen visited. So many wondrous things to do and places to explore. It never gets old. If one is fussy about rain, they may not love Oregon, especially in the winter. We love it year 'round, all the various seasons and the ocean's moods. Great video Jen.
My fiance and I stayed at The Overlook resort on the Oregon coast, I think that might have been where you were? Absolutely gorgeous. You can really tell how much you've evolved over the years. I think the "old" Jen would have used the extra time to go to a spa or go shopping, but the "new" you went out of your comfort zone to explore and get a little wet and wild! Both Jens were great, but you look so genuinely happy and comfortable in this video. I hope to see more of this Jen coming out of her shell! Thanks for sharing.

Ah! You were in my neck of the woods! I’m probably about 30 minutes away. Love love love the Oregon coast. We just moved to the coast and couldn’t be happier. I’m glad you got to come and visit.
Love this!!! My husband and I did a coastal trip from Vancouver, BC to Southern California last year and it was so dreamy and beautiful!!! Highly recommend to do with your family!!!

Oh my gosh! I was just in Florence for my 30th birthday the second week of September! So cool to see you in the same spots I was just visiting as well. I giggled out loud at you saying it was amazing even with the rain...it's how I feel as well. The Oregon Coast is truly magical!

What a great day. I love the Pacific NW so much. Health issues keep me from enjoying many of the outdoor activities and this was a treat because i could almost imagine i was there, too. I used to travel alone constantly for work and would do things like this on the weekends. Thank you!
So glad you enjoyed Oregon ( the little you could see of it😊). It is a great family vacation destination and there is so much to see and do and eat (for foodies, vegan or not,). Not just the coast or Portland, but central Oregon too. I wish you get a chance to see the Columbia Gorge one day. As a nature lover, it is a must see. Hope your whole family will come visit. I landed first in Utah when I came to the states and both states are gorgeous in different ways.
That is what I say, get out and take a chance on something different. One of my faves is hopping into my car and driving up the New England coast to Mane and back to MA.

Two, I live in Oregon, and my oldest son lives in Eugene, so we are down there periodically. I knew you’d be in good hands with your vegan lifestyle here. I’ve been to Sizzle Pie because my son loves pizza and loud music. Haha, And three, you reminded me not to take the ocean for granted. I’m an Oregonian who doesn’t like rain, and the coast is often rainy. The smile on your face standing on that beach in the rain was pure joy, and to be honest, you took my breath away. What a beautiful person you are. And then that rainbow as you were driving back. Perfection.

It was so crazy to get on here and see you touring my home state. Oregon really is beautiful, so glad you were brave enough to venture out on your own. And did you know you were in the running capitol of the world lol? Eugene is known as Track Town, and we have a lot of runners here :) If you ever come back to Eugene, run on Prefontaines trail!

Driving on the Oregon coast is pretty spectacular (hwy 101) I don't know anywhere else in the world where you get cliff and dense forest, met with the ocean. On cannon beach and in Lincoln City there are huge rock formations in the water. The PNW is a pretty amazing place. I am like you in the sense I was once Chicago-in now I live in the PNW. Its a totally different place.
I love that you were in our little corner of the world. I live in Florence! And I would have let you ise our bathroom!! 🤣 Glad you got to enjoy a bit of the ocean. ❤

So glad you visited our beautiful state, I live in Eugene and have been to Heceta Head Lighthouse countless times, it is a gorgeous spot. Did you know the lighthouse keepers house is supposedly haunted? Another safety tip, never, ever turn your back on the ocean. We have “sneaker” waves that can be deadly.

I live in Washington state so I get to Oregon often, and it truly is beautiful! As a widow, I do a lot of jaunts on my own.
