I swear, the West Coast States have some of the most naturally beautiful beaches in the World. From the South, California, then Oregon, & to the North, Washington. Love the West Coast States!🥰

@@bradleypierce1561which just proves the point...of the west coast land(ie US - west coast states, Alaska and Canada) its all BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!! so lucky to have grown up here...if it wasnt for the shitty politics EVERYONE would want to live here.
I find myself gravitating to scenery like this when looking to visit other states (mountains, lush greanery, different hue painted lakes/oceans like Montana, Maine, mountainuous regions of Colorado...) something about the smell of fresh water mixed with the scent of pine and other trees is the most thought clearing smell to me... along with the sound of rushing water; be it in a boat or just the crashing of waves against rocks or sand - thank God for the beautiful Earth he's gifted us to enjoy. ✨️✨️✨️

Thank you for this. The Southern Oregon coast is my home. I grew up in the Gold Beach area going to school at Ophir & in GB. I miss this part of Oregon so much that even seeing your video evokes so much emotion in me. I miss the smell of the loamy damp moss & ferns & the smell of the sun heating the soil. I even miss the cold, incessant winds. I miss seeing the ocean flat like glass & the wildness of a dark ocean storm. All the moods of the coast makes my heart sing.

We took our girls to Whaleshead frequently. We stayed in the cabins at Whaleshead Beach Resort. The road down to the beach is quite bad but once your on the beach it is so wonderful. And the beach changes over the years too-making it a new experience.
Next time, check out Indian Sand Dunes, a fun place to play

I grew up in Gold Beach and graduated in 1991. Secret beach was called by most of us "Moon Beach" because it is crescent shaped. I have even camped on the little spot next to the waterfall going down to it. You got some amazing shots. My parents and brother still live in Gold Beach...Thank you for sharing.

My Mom lived in Oregon in 1973 and I visited her from Texas in 74. She took us by Camelback mountain? That led to Haystack Rock overlook. Beautiful!
Then the rest of the day was spent at Seaside. A carnival ride cold cold rainy day in June.
I was only 14 but my memories riding a bus from Texas to Oregon with my 17 yr old sister was Unforgettable!
Ever since I always say Oregon was the greenest cleanest state I have ever gone through.
Wish I could get back and spread her ashes like she had wished.

I have grown up 2 hours north of San Francisco, and is where I currently live again. The whole coastline from here up through Oregon is STUNNING!! I love the area you're in on this video....I love the raw, rugged ocean and beautiful green trees. It's such a strong beauty. I love the damp, cool weather...rain is my favorite. I just love this area so so so much!!

I so agree with you Denise. I'm a big fan of the climate and the rain, the damp sporadic weather, the moss, ferns, lichen, Fungi all mixed into the dense trees and creeks and then the rugged coast is awesome. It's so much more facinating than only having a sand beach like any other beach.. what's the fun in every beach if they were all the same? So I'm so greatful for Oregon's diversity of it's ecosystem's, geological region types, climate type's, and so on. You can find a bit of everything somewhere here in Oregon somewhere... As long as your willing to go on a trip and explore. (I've lived in Oregon my entire life, and I've never been to California yet.. it's actually insane because I've been to many other places.. so anyways, I bet it's got a nice little touch of the Oregon coast vibes near north of San Francisco.. there is some really equal type inland coastal temperate rainforests along the coast region zone of the land in both north California and Oregon. It's so biodiverse and rich in complexity.)

As a Bandon native I was so happy you included our little town in your video. As you came down onto the beach from those many stairs, the rock formation that kept popping up in the background with the two holes that water floods through, is called Elephant rock. The two holes are the eyes and off to each side you see the ears. Come back again during better weather....there's much more to see!!

    • @AdventuresofAplusK

The way you capture the beauty of Oregon…! 💙💙💙 We moved away (from Redmond) due to the recession in 2009 and moved back (although to Winston) just over a year ago…. We lived in WY and ID and while both states have their beauty (so excited to watch your videos in those states!), Oregon had been pulling at my heart all those years. This video makes me even more thankful to be back! ☺️ The Southern Coast is so often overlooked but is so incredibly gorgeous! And yes, Cape Blanco is ALWAYS windy! At least I have never been there when it wasn’t. A beautiful beach to ride my horses on though! 🐎 😁 And since we *always travel/explore with our dogs (Java, Latte and Macchiato), seeing Kona enjoy herself on this adventure is just the cherry on top to your beautiful videos! Life with dogs is just sweeter. 💗

I grew up in Gold Beach (35 years ago) and traveled the coast to Brookings almost daily as a teen and northward through Bandon to Coos Bay quite often. Thank you for taking me home to the place I miss most in the world. It was a magical childhood as I was always outdoors in nature. Whaleshead Rock, the large triangular one at the beach is called that because when the waves come in on the north side of the rock they rush through a hole and spout upward, looking like a whale spout. You can see it in your video from 2:03 to 2:06 on the bottom left corner of the rock.

I live in Corvallis, Oregon and my favorite thing is to take a drive over to Yachats, cape Perpetua, Waldport, Newport. But then I also like going up a bit to Garibaldi, Oregon near Tillamook. Then Munson creek falls is so worth stopping at when you are around Tillamook. It's a beast of a waterfall.

HOME! Thanks for the trip through the "banana belt," so called for the temperate climate on our south coast. Moved to Bandon in 1978 where we lived for 3 years before going north 23 miles to the Coos Bay area where we live to this day. I have seen a lot of the beautiful USA, but love where I live the best. Quaint shops, big box stores are 2 hours away in Eugene, so people come to admire the scenery. You need to explore Shore Acres State Park in Charleston, OR which sits on the bluff above the ocean and sea lion rookery, and includes a majestic, groomed botanical garden. Takes your breath away!

I lived in Anchorage for 45 years. You must go to Girdwood and ride the aerial tramway to the top of the mountain. Have lunch at the old hotel soup and sandwich shop. Drive up to Crow Creek Mine. On the way back to Girdwood, have dinner at the Double Musky restaurant.
When you head for Mount McKinley, drive through Palmer and take the Hatchers Pass Road to Independence Mine.
From that point you are on your own.
Enjoy your videos. Wonderful to be able to travel when you are young. Keep it up.

The Southern Oregon Coast is my home and I wouldn't have it any other way!! If this was a recent trip, you barely missed a long string of unusually beautiful winter weather. When you do come back, I highly recommend Shore Acres State Park in Charleston. This area is rich in history and contains a very magical garden. So glad you guys enjoyed our crazy coast line!! Come back soon!!

Great vid! FYI, the quicker trail to Secret Beach is parking at the bridge that goes over Miller Creek (source of the waterfall at the beach). It's basically just up the hill behind you at 5:22 when you're standing near the waterfall. Well, at least it was accessible 7-8 years ago when I was last there, things may have changed. and I had no idea about the overlook at Natural Bridges, I wonder if that was there back then too. I used the trail and stopped part way down as it was wet and sketchy like you guys mentioned!

    • @AdventuresofAplusK
      @AdventuresofAplusK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

We tried that way and it was very steep and we didn’t want to risk it. I’m not sure when they added that overlook either. We love that area so much though and we’re happy we could share it. Thanks for watching!

This is a beautiful video, nice job and glad you enjoyed the awesome coast, you touched upon so many great places and there are so many more, grew up here myself in Nesika beach, Gold beach and Ophir, the rivers along the coast are also very beautiful to visit when you get the chance you should.
You missed one of our favorites, Otter point which is also very breathtaking but be very careful of the cliffs as they are constantly changing.
Walking the Oregon coast trail is also a fantastic way to see the wonderful beaches and excellent views overlooking the ocean like Cape Sebastian or Humbug area, there are way too many to list but thank you for the video and I do agree that this is natural beauty at its best!
