Great video. I only not agree about the lenght. I have copule of jeans hemed for no brake lenght and this lenght dont work with every shoe(in some shoe this look bad) and also in fall and winter times this lenght look ridiciolous. In some more casual street style also look to sharp in my opinion. End because despite a cleaner silhouette, from certain angles (particularly the back and to a lesser extent, from the side), the pant legs can appear shorter and therefore further the appearance of shorter, thicker legs. I usually go for half brek and i have this "flexibility" to adapt the lenght of jeans to shoe, my whole outfit.
For the fit, the type of shoes you wear sets the rule. e.g. If you wear rock boots (YSL style to give a reference) you cannot go with slim/regular jeans. It will look horrible.
